I initially purchased a lower version of this receiver but after reviewing specs on both this receiver was a no brainer.

This baby has plenty of wattage to push any speaker system you have. I've actually not been able to turn my system up to much because my new house is all tile and this system with the built in speakers is so loud I feel like I'm waking the neighbors when I watch movies late night. It was worth every dime and I'm happy with my purchase.

I replaced a Yamaha 7.2 receiver with this one. I own other Onkyo receivers and am very happy to have Onkyo back as my main receiver again. The sound quality does exceed the Yamaha, and the Yamaha did sound good, but there were was a noticeable difference in my subwoofers. With the Onkyo my subwoofers now produce a very tight, deep, and "mean" sounding bass - I Love It! I am not sure what Onkyo is doing differently than Yamaha but boy what a difference. Also Onkyo uses a high current power supply in this model which will come into play when watching movies that need a lot of reserve power due to going from a quiet scene to a loud scene. The menu is kind of old looking and I have seen some people complain about it. My opinion is, yes it is old looking but once you set up the receiver will you really need to go back into the setup menu over and over or do you set it and never look at it again. Some people will, some people won't and that will be up to you personally. There are a lot of choices to make for audio receivers and from personal experience after owning and selling a lot of major brands, you can't go wrong with Onkyo.

You cannot buy a better receiver then Onkyo for the money. The sound is excellent with a decent pair of mid-grade speakers.

So far so good. Tons of HDMI inputs and super easy to set up. I only wish it had an input or two on the front.

Far exceeded my expectations. The main reason I purchased this unit is that it has a Phono Input the rest was pure gravy

Great system at a good discount. Love the Atmos surround sound. Works great out of the box. Did s firmware update and was streaming music from Pandora nicely. Onkyo was a step up to what i had. This system is great for all your needs and 4K ready. Im set for years to come. Bestbuy also gave me a small discount.

Love this receiver. Has most of the common controls on the front panel. Also has Phono Inputs. My last two Sony's have not had that nor very many controls on the front panel for that matter. Easy to set up and easy to understand how to operate. Works well with the other units I have from different manufactures.

The picture is amazing on this tv. Have had zero problems. wireless is great and uhd Netflix is awesome!

Build quality seems good for price. Plenty of power. Lots of network capability. Mobile remote app is pretty good. Wish you could output different video from audio source like listening to music while viewing tv. On screen menus are old fashioned but functional.

I'm very satisfied with this receiver, it has all I ever wanted.

I got this on sale and it allowed me to have everything I needed and wanted. The pass through works without lag and set up took all of 10 minutes to switch from an old unit to the new one. The speaker setup was quick and effective. If you have the funds and ability, pick this up.

This receiver supplies the sound that I'm looking for. I may purchase another for my bedroom.

Receiver allowed me to connect all of my equiptment with HDMI cables and sounds great.

Hook up was easy. However, still having trouble Synchronizing the speakers.

Has all the bells you will love it. But only 100 watts per channel 8 ohms.

I am a fan of Onkyo receivers. I think they have great sound and features for the price. This unit did not disappoint. Sound is great. My favorite feature is the built in XM/Sirius and Wifi. I purchased this on sale and have nothing negative to say.

Love the system was not hard to hook up did blow and old set of speakers but had to see what the Onkyo was made of. Receiver is alot bigger then my first Onkyo,put small fan near unit as it does tend to run warmer the most. But I Love It. Sounds GREAT
