This av receiver has loads oh HDMI inputs and more than enough power for my mid size family room.

it took a little time to set up and run all the speaker wires but well worth it

Had a Sony 7.1 channel receiver but purchased the Onyko receiver (with Dolby Atmos) because my Sony did not pass through 3D signals. The Sony sounded great but this new Onkyo is just amazing. The clarity of the voices as well the the directional surround sounds is incredible. Internet also functions well. Easy to setup. Very pleased especially and reasonable priced for all the features in this unit.

I am not technically savvy, but had no problems setting up the receiver. Works as expected.

I had a TX-NR609, which I loved. I upgraded to the 646 because I needed 4k pass-through. I did not research carefully enough and after purchasing, discovered that the 646 does not have THX (the 609 did). I could tell the difference. So, I returned the 646 and bough a 757 which does have THX. Much richer sound.

It is a great receiver. It has a lot of features including seven HDMI input and two output.

The on screen instructions made setting up this receiver easy to set up and sounds great.

Replaced an older model with this one. This model was even easier to setup than the last.

I have two networked Yamaha receivers that work great on the network and I have the ability to control them throughout my house with apps on my phone and ipads as well as remote control. Onkyo literature stated that later 2016 receivers worked with an app in the app store. I purchased in December (can't get much later in 2016 than that). Got the receiver home, got it set up and then downloaded the app only to find out that the receiver won't work with the app so now the only way to control it is to be right in front of it. This is a big disappointment as it is set to control 8 different hdmi's, has ability to stream through it but you need to be in front of it to change the volume, a song, a source, to another zone, and more. Lastly, the display on it is "old school" style with a green led display reminiscent of the 70's - don't care for this. Now the good; I do like the 8 HDMI's and other inputs including the "phono" input. These work well and for control of a vast amount of sources, I like it better than using a separate HDMI switcher.

This is an excellent multi-functional receiver that is a great entertainment center piece. It has all the bells & whistles for full functionality now and room to upgrade in the future. Only thing I was disappointed with was the size of the display and lack of information readily available for programming advanced functionality. Overall great piece of equipment.

Got this amp when it was on sale. Has a lot of features for expansion. I like this one because it has a separate plug for my turn table that the others do not have. I was a little worried at first about purchasing this amp because of stories of the amp frying but so far is working good. I am having trouble with the amp switching from cable to TV for some reason.
