I haven't begun to dig into everything I can do with this receiver. The biggest reason I bought it was that it has a real phone input- and I still have a nice turntable and a ton of records.

I think it is a good receiver has all the latest features. One thing I don't like though is I can't seem to independently adjust the center channel sound up as loud as I would like it to go

The technicians setting up the new TV assisted in selection. They not only selected a system that would well with our TV and other components, but they found one at a reasonable price and the location.

I needed to upgrade from my 7yr older HT receiver and found that the Onkyo TX-NR646 had everything I needed. With on screen volume information to 7 HDMI inputs. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

I wanted to update my 17 year old Nakamichi receiver. This one looked good and it was on sale. My son helped me install it. Reading through the instructions we found out that it was necessary to have a "Flat Screen" television in order to set it up properly. Regretfully, I have an old NTSC tube set that will not work with the unit. I finally packed the Onkyo up and put it away. When my old set dies I will pull it out. I don't blame Best Buy or any one else. More homework on my end might have solved the problem.

Did a lot of research with price range,rms wattage,and pro and cons and Let me tell you this best equipment I ever bought just need to build me some good custom surround speakers.

This receiver was exactly what I was looking for! It has all the inputs you need including the WiFi capability to use the remote control app from the palm of your hand.

I have always had Onkyo equipment. I purchased another brand and had to go back and get another one. You should get good quality on the beginning and don't get cheap.

Great investment! Takes a little time to set up all the features, but well worth it! I had been researching this for a while and should have purchased it sooner.

When changing TV channels sometimes volume goes to off. Have not figured out what causes problem. Turning receiver off and then on restarts audio.

This is a good receiver especially for the price. Controls are a little hard to figure out and the instructions that come with it are very limited.

I bought this receiver after I returned my Denon. The Denon had alot of issues but when I hooked up the Onkyo it was perfect almost right out of the box!

can"t get the receiver to work properly, when I called Onkyo , they ask for a number to call you back , 6 times and they never call back, when you wait on hold,to talk to someone ,after 20 minutes you get cut off. Twenty times I did this. I'll never call again! packing this unit up for return to best buy

I have multiple game consoles, a cable box and a blu ray. All those items connect to this receiver and I don't have to change the tv input. Great device.

I had to upgrade from the 636 to the 646 to get the HDMI 2.0a pass through to allow HDR content for PS4 Pro and Xbox One S. Love this receiver.

Have bought onkyo products in the past and paid double what it cost now. Quality is still there. Equals or surpass more expensive Recievers. Great buy

Best Bluetooth sound I've ever heard, even regular radio sounds great. Movies sound better than at the theater and it was super easy to set up.

My old Sony bit the dust, and this was recommended by my son. Like all the HDMI connections make it a snap for even a novice.
