The price was good and I needed to replace my defunct CD player. It appears CD players are going extinct!? One thing troubles me about this Onkyo CD player:why, in the instruction manual, does it say to completely turn off the power if not using it for awhile (what's 'awhile'??)/ Why does it have 'standby' at all than??!! Why not just off and on? Makes no sense! (Would have been willing to give it five-stars if not for the 'standby' issue.)

I have already reviewed this product, several design issues but works good and replaces an older player. Set up easy, and responsive within the parameter set by design. Remote lacks volume control and face has poor identification of controls.

I matched this changer with an entry level Onkyo amp to power and feed a couple of sitting room ceiling speakers and I am as satisfied as is legally allowed. I am an old guy---already gave all the 400-plus vinyl platters to the grandson and this was out of the box, pop in 3 color coded pins and BOOM...Nina Simone! Gotta love it, eh?

Wow! An awesome 6disc CD Player that will last me the rest of my life. Quality is amazing.

Nice component. Replaced an old SONY CD player, and the sound is noticeably clearer with more detail. Works fine with my old SONY receiver.

Great multi cd player, easy installation, and just the right price.

Great sound and easy to install and use. However, the RANDOM function keeps trying to find track 99 on one of the disks (none inserted contain more than 20 tracks each). Called Onkyo to ask about this, and they said that 6 disks were filling the memory (claiming that the entire audio track is kept in memory, which I feel is unnecessary), and to only insert 5 CDs when using RANDOM. Why make a 6-CD changer that can only perform some of its functions with 5 CDs? I returned the unit to Best Buy.

Exactly what I wanted! Can now listen to a variety of my favorite CDs for long periods of time with out having to change anything.

Great sound with ease. Only drawback is icons and labels are too small to read easily.

I tested all the functions when brought the unit home and everything was working fine. So far that is all I can say about it because I am still working on my entertainment center for a good place to put it.

Though most friends and family don't understand why I wanted a new CD player, as they all use their phones and Ipods for their music, I am very happy with this player. I have a large collection of CDs that I have collected over the years, and I enjoy listening to them on my stereo. During the holidays I was able to fill the house with my favorite Christmas music!

This replaced a 20+ year old 5-disc changer. It was so easy to connect to my 25 year old system and plays great. You can even open it and change discs while it's playing. It has repeat, shuffle and everything you expect from a multi-disc changer. It will also play files in folders although I have not yet tried that.

This player puts a quality sound and it functions without a glitch. Unfortunately it lacks some of the features my old Sony player had, such as displaying all the tracks, or at least the remaining tracks, on its display screen during playback. Also the remote doesn't have a volume control.

This ONkyo 6 CD player is to replace my SONY 5 CD player which is no longer operable. What I like about this unit is that it takes 6 CD's and not 5. And thit sounds great. A few issues that I do have is that the display on the unit is not bright. The buttons on the unit are small and the buttons on the remote control are very small and hard to read. Finally, I wish that here was an easier way to see how much time remains on a track/CD.
