The exceptional quality I expect from Onkyo!
||Posted .Needed to replace a Sony 5 disc changer that after 12 years stopped working, saw this online, read some reviews, owned and loved Onkyo products previously, you had it for pickup at the store, connected two wires: ‘Voila!’ Couldn’t be happier!

Awesome replacement for older Onkyo old model
||Posted .I purchase an Onkyo system back in 1997 and it has been very good for many years. The 5 disc CD Player became non-functional so i was in search of a replacement. I was actually looking for a single CD Player but came upon this new 6 Disc Onkyo player. It hooked right up with the same space and connections and performs beautifully.

Exactly what I wanted
||Posted .This multi-disc play went into my airplane hangar so when I'm wrenching on the bird I can work steady without having to change discs with greasy/oily fingers. It works as advertised and we especially like the random/shuffle function.

excellent product.... pricy
||Posted .This was used to replace a pioneer cd changer in a rack system purchased in Japan, in 1989 (Air Force vet) that stopped working. This was a open box (but, still pricy). Shipped in the original box. The item looked brand new. no dents, scratches etc. All buttons worked including the remote. It seems CD players for the home intertainment centers are being phased out , thus the pricy sale tag. A better product than the item it replaced.. I have never purchased an open box item however, I am very pleased with my purchase

Q: QuestionCan speakers be connected to the Onkyo DXC390 CD changer? There have been many contradictory responses: Yes. No, you have to have an amplifier. Yes, with powered speakers. What is the correct answer, please?
Asked by JG.
- A:Answer Being that I own and have installed this player I can tell you 100 percent that this can only be used as part of a receiver configuration. The cd player can be connected via RCA cables, Coaxial cable or the preferred Digital cable to a reciever or amplifier. On the Onkyo website, the owners manual can be downloaded and shows clearly that this unit is to be used in conjunction as part of a audio system. This meaning connected to a reciever or amplifier to produce sound through a set of speakers. It is not designed to connect speakers directly to it and produce sound.

Q: QuestionDoes this play itself , or do i have to hook it to a receiver.I am looking for my elderly Mom -- something that plays just CD's -- no radio, no tuner, etc. Just a quality CD player that holds 5-6 CDs. Something that has its own speakers. Just basic with good sound. I cannot find anything this simple. Please help. Thank you

Q: QuestionWhat are the three dimensions of this CD player? In specifications, it states that the depth is only 5.19. That isn't possible! They must mean the height. I need a specific depth to fit it in an entertainment center. I would appreciate an answer. Thank your for your time.
