Designed and engineered in our world-famous Acoustic Engineering Center of Excellence in Northridge, California, Stage 280F is the flagship of the new JBL Stage Series. The New Reference Series 800 Floor Standing Speaker features the most dramatic upgrades since the series' inception, including many technologies derived from the Klipsch Reference Premiere Series. The Spun-copper thermoformed crystalline polymer woofers utilize trickle-down technology from Klipsch's highly acclaimed Reference Premiere series of speakers. Excellent speakers!!
Didn't realize what I was missing. I've been using speakers from the 1960s and they were okay then. I had a channel go out in my Onkyo AVR so I finally decided to upgrade my system. I already had a nice turntable (a late 60s AR) along with a decent CD player. But, I also had a whole lot of old vinyl that I really wanted to listen to on a good system, so I paired these with the Marantz Cinema 40 and I could not be happier. The sound, even without a subwoofer, is quite good with a nice (but not huge) low end. Running the TV through them (the Marantz automatically starts up when the TV is turned on) is incredible. The highs and middles are incredibly clean and I can now hear the TV really well without cranking it up - a pet peeve of my wife's. Even though these have a hefty price tag, I am really pleased that I finally spent the money to get high quality sound! I highly recommend these even with the price tag.

Awesome speakers worth every dollar
These speakers give the clearest separation of sound to give you Clarity of Mid range and solid bass with such a clear sound from the tweeter. If you can afford em, buy em. You will be impressed BEST OF THE BEST HERE WITH THESE SPEAKERS No kidding, I can have concert time with these speakers.

Pride of ownership
Beautifully minimalist, with subtle style touches that tie in some classic B&W design language. Airy and spacious sound. Light and dextrous. Every finish looks spectacular. A striking "heirloom" product.
