The 706 S3 is an outstanding bookshelf speaker for use in larger spaces. Thanks to its decoupled Carbon Dome tweeter and carefully upgraded crossover, it provides exceptional detail and insight into your music, while its substantial 6.5in Continuum Cone bass/midrange drive unit provides ample scale and extension. Like its 705 S3 sibling, it performs at its best on the optional FS-700 S3 stand.

A: Hello. The CDA-4D is a custom installation distribution power amplifier, and may not be the best option for your system. It requires you add a pre-amplifier to connect your sources to. A better option would be to go with a Marantz Model 40n or a Marantz M1, as they both fit neatly between your computer and the 706S3s, offer a good set of analog and digital inputs to work with and are easier to operate and set-up given your requirements. Either way, 12, 14 or 16 gauge copper speaker wire of the length you need will be required. We recommend Audioquest for this purpose. For more information, I recommend speaking with a Best Buy Home Audio expert.
Q: Hi Want to confirm price is for 2 speakers - Thanks
A: Best Buy indicates that the price is for a pair of speakers in the description "700 Series 3 Bookshelf Speaker with 1" Tweeter and 6.5" Midbass (Pair) - White."
Q: Are you able to hang them on the wall for rear speakers?
A: Hello, These are able to be used as rear speakers, but we do not design any wall mounts for these speakers and these speakers are meant to sit on a stable surface like the dedicated speaker stands.

Very nice upgrade. Have not had them long enough to say anything more. As bookshelf speakers, they are big in size and performance. Needed to build a custom mount.

I critically listened to over 20 pairs of speakers over the last year to find these as my end-game speakers. I listened to the KEF R3 and many other KEFs, B&W 600 and 700 series, Polks, Buchardts, and Klipsches. This specific one blew all the others out of the water. I paired it with a Marantz M1. The sound quality, the soundstage, and the clarity were head and shoulders above anything I tested. The 706 S3’s wood finishing, the protruding woofer, and the tweeter clarity are in another league compared to anything else I tested. Funny enough, KEF Q1 Metas were pretty good at one-fifth the price. However, I just couldn’t unhear the 706 S3s. I had to get them. I first saw and listened to these at the Best Buy Magnolia, even though I had gone there to listen to the R3 Metas. I ultimately bought the B&W 706 S3s at Best Buy to support their business and keep the Magnolia showroom open in Brooklyn.
