CD players are hard to come by these days, and those that accommodate multiple discs even harder. After all, what's the point of having a player that only allows one disc at a time? This Onkyo product is the third I've bought and I have yet to be disappointed. Sound is great, easy to install, not overly heavy, and has a fairly decent price. My only issue is that the Memory function is only on the remote.

Purchased this changer to replace my 28 y/o Sony, It is outstanding and I would highly recommend this product. The price is excellent and it was in stock at my local Best Buy, The sound quality of a CD played through the Optical Digital output is so superior to MP3 files off your telephone or streaming off internet on Sirius it's stupid. Listening through ear buds is all good for kids. Once you hear CD's though this Onkyo Changer playing through a high quality audio system including an amplifier and speakers from Best Buy Magnolia, you will relegate your over priced iPhone to reading text messages and drop your earbuds in the trash. Kids don't know any better. It's unfortunate that the convenience and compression of steaming music off a iPhone has replaced the outstanding quality of CD and a total audio system. For the price of an iPhone you can get a total audio system including this changer that will blow your socks off that will last years instead of months. Having experienced the demise of the LP then the cassette tape and now the loss of CD selection, It's by far superior in its simplicity and best sound quality that at this point there is no substitute. This Onkyo CD changer is the one to connect to your home theater. My last CD changer cost $299 out lasted 20 cell phones that now cost $1,000, that should be enough to convince anyone of the stability and quality of CD plus the sound is so much better.

We had a stereo system for years that included a 5-CD changer, tuner, turntable and great speakers. Totally designed for music, not tv. When it died, the component most difficult to replace was the multi disk CD player! I was delighted to find the Onkyo, which had been our previous brand. Simple hookup, streamlined controls, smooth disk rotation, perfect sound transfer. I’d been worried about the size, but the sleek, all-black exterior is beautiful.

I love this 6 Disc CD Changer. I use it in my bedroom. It allows me to play random songs from each CD, or to play all CDs continuously, so that I can work on projects, without having to change CDs for several hours.

The original one I purchased was skipping. It took several visits with the Best Buy and Onkyo TechSupport who could not resolve the issue. Best Buy was gracious and replaced the unit and the new one is working fine.

This 6 disk player replaces a old 40 disk model that died. While CDs are going out of style, many of us have hundreds of them and do not want to waste our time moving the music to another format. This player permits random playing of up to 6 CDs at a time. Picking a particular song can require some effort though. The CD remote does not sync well with a surround sound universal remote. I would buy this model again and I can recommend it as a good value unit that plays acceptable music.

Bought this to replace a Sony 5 disc changer that failed after 5 years of light use. The Onkyo holds 6 discs and sounds better than the Sony did. It is a little larger but still fit in my cabinet. Hook up was simple and quick. The only draw back is it is slow on choosing and playing selections when in random mode. It is nice to be able to change discs as the current disc is playing. Overall am very pleased for the price.

GREAT DEAL FOR THE PRICE, SOUNDS GOOD, EASY TO USE, A LITTLE TO LONG OF A BREAK BETWEEN SONGS ON RANDOM PLAY, BUT OTHERWISE IT'S A GREAT DEAL.

Purchased this 6 disc changer to replace a different brand which failed. Unit sounds as good as I could expect. Some complain about the disc rotation noise, but it is not louder than what would be considered normal. remote supports several functions including track selection, disc selection fast forward within track and track forward. Purchased on sale, which was a pleasant surprise. analog and digital hook up.

This CD player offers good quality for the price. I searched online for a player that I could load 6 CDs into that was affordable. Given the developments in technology, there are not many options left. This unit has great sound and is easy to use. The price will not break the bank. It is exactly what I was looking for.

Replaced my old Onkyo 6 DVD/CD Changer (DV-CP701) with a new Onkyo 6 CD Changer (DX-C390). While the new changer does not support DVD (I have a Blu Ray player), it does everything I want in a CD changer, including shuffling across all 6 CDs. Easy to install and easy to operate. Very happy at a very reasonable price!!

Bought this to play my large collection of holiday and regular CDs. Picked up a pair of plug in speakers also as this is being used as a standalone system. Easy to set up, controls are easy to navigate and sound quality is smooth and clear. We have high ceilings and the music fills the rooms easily without any distortion. Good value for the money.

I originally opted for the yamaha i believe sd 303 was the name but it would skip at the ending tracks on cds. After some reaearch i seen this was a known problem updated the firware and no dice returned it and bought this. This onyko plays flawlessly has an excellent built in dac all cds sound fabulous. I really enjoy it next to my turntable still like vinyl better but hey cds are cheaper and easier to find some vinyl is impossible to find i have seen some negativereviews on this unit as well but they have been making it for over 20 years so it must be pretty reliable and if you still are on the fence buy the prtection for 4 years I did that way i know I am covered but i have used this changer alot and its awesome only negative is make aure you have space to put it as it is pretty darn big lol

It is an excellent product that plays 6 disc. During the present time the interest in disc players arei fading and the selections for players in the marketplace is limited. At one time every manufacturing company would have a variety of players for sale. For the price value this is a very good choice. The sound is acceptable, usage is easy and it looks nice. You won't go wrong spending your money on this Onkyo unit. Remember 6 disc and not 5 as usual.

I was looking for the older Bose multiple-CD changer to go with my new new radio/CD. It does not work (if you find one) with the new radio. I called Bose and they recommended this unit. It was easy to link & works and sounds great. You can mix tracks within and between CD's and make your own play list. Very happy I got it. Only drawback (minor at that) is that it is quite a bit larger (l x w) that the Bose radio.

Excellent sound quality but carousel is a little slow. It's a little slow to read a disk so it hesitates for quite a while if you leave an empty slot.

The 6 disk CD player has great sound, intuitive controls and is easy to load. It is the perfect CD player for the holiday season with the ability to load 6 CDs and play them in order or shuffle play through them all. Would alos be great with any mix of music for a party. Highly recommend.

Best CD player for the price. Sound quality is excellent for both CD and MP3. The changer and the related programming is good. I will definitely recommend this player to serious CD media listners. Delivers what it promises.
