Loved it. 20 days later the remote quit. Onkyo sent me another. That didn't work. Found out the infrared receiver in the unit went bad. Returned it. Didn't buy another didn't want to chance it. Bought a Denon. I like the Denon but actually preferred the Onkyo.

this sound system sounds pretty good not bad at all

I upgraded to this receiver for the 4K HDMI pass through and additional input. For a low cost receiver it has all the features I need for my home theater setup. The only thing missing from my old receiver is the on screen volume adjustment bar, but we can see the volume level on the unit.

We have no knowledge that we needed this box until the Geek Squad told me that that is how you hook up all of all of the audio speaker wires. We had to also buy a spool of copper wire to connect stuff. Instead of the in wall speakers, I should have gotten just one of those sound bars.

Used this receiver to upgrade to a new stereo system which includes a turntable, multi CD player and a couple of bower & Wilkins speakers. Is absolutely perfect. It has Bluetooth connectivity but not wifi but that's enough for us. We've only had it about a month but just love it.

Compared to the decade old receiver I had been using, this is amazing! The only downside is that it's almost underpowered for what I'm doing. I can turn it up all the way on some channels, or movies and sometimes it's just enough, even all the way up.

Spent a day installing & adjusting this thing with my VERY simple Sony TV & Comcast X1 Box.... Everything eventually worked beautifully - until I turned it OFF! It turns out, unlike the main advertising and the tiny manual included with the unit, when you download the complete manual from their website that this unit is NOT guaranteed to work with HDMI ARC & CEC... What this means, in my case, is that turning off the TV does NOT turn off the Onkyo, but rather the unit switched to another INPUT! (Check the Web about this...) If it would switch BACK when you turn the TV back on, it wouldn't be a big deal - but it doesn't. It keeps running & generating heat, but doesn't 'click' back to the Cable Box input when you turn the TV back on... This is a complete deal-breaker when the Onkyo is in a cabinet where the infrared can't get to it... I replaced it with a Yamaha that works perfectly with the HDMI/ARC/CEC system, but I will admit that the Onkyo has a much better Remote Control.

ARC function not operable with one of my connected devices (and the audio from the TV). No HDMI audio. Only the optical/digital connection was enabled. Nevertheless all audio & video is working fine & I'm pleased. Don't yet have a 4K TV. Soon I hope.

This is a powerful receiver, with a great price. Let's me play my music via Bluetooth sync w phone and iPads. Only drawback is one person has to manually disconnect their blue tooth for next person to sync. It's not automatic like most devices.

Ultimately I returned this product because we got the older one (also Onkyo) working again. While I cannot review this specific item (never opened); the old one that we got to work again is nearly 10 yrs old. (A testament to the Brand).

I bought this HT Amp to replace my aging Dennon, and it has done a great job for the price. I use to have to utilize a sound meter to adjust my speaker volumes for my room but this unit does it for you with a provided mic.

After reading the reviews I felt comfortable buying this product for our home theater. The only drawback was I couldn't use the subwoofer from my previous Onkyo a/v receiver. So I had to purchase a powered sub.

Onkyo did a great job with this receiver. Love the fact that it is wireless and I can connect my phone to it and play music. Connecting was a breeze as usual. Scored this open box and have not had any regrets.

This purchase was for my father in law and I needed something that had modern features yet, had very intuitive controls. This Onkyo receiver fit the bill for his needs and he loves it. Recommended buy.
