The relatively low cost of this receiver versus the features it provides is phenomenal. We have been more than pleased with the performance. Although we do use some of the home theater capacity, our initial use has been as a 2 channel home audio system with a powered sub-woofer. This receiver was one of the few in this power and price range that offered the turntable features. Very pleased so far.

This is a great receiver for 7 channel surround sound and Dolby Atmos. I love being able to use banana plugs for all connections, a feature that other similarly priced receivers lack. Phono input is great if you use a turntable. Also, having an extra HDMI input on the front of the receiver has been very convenient. I'd definitely recommend this receiver to anyone that whats 7.2 and Atmos without breaking the bank.

I have had this for a little over a month now and it sounds great. It did take some fine tuning with the eq levels, but once dialed in it sounds amazing. Have it pushing 6 10" cabinets, 2 in a kicker box, 2 in a bass enclosure, and 2 in custom built towers, with 5 1/2 inch mids and a tweeter. This puts out plenty of power to push them all. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a receiver.

Operates as surround sound from my PC, via HDMI. This generally works best with games, less so with PC movies or music. One HDMI cable connects the PC to the monitor, the second cable connects the PC to the receiver. In the NVIDIA software, the display is then cloned to both outputs. This allows HDMI audio output and prevents delayed input on the main PC display. Have not been able to activate surround sound via optical cable to date, but this may be a sound card issue.

I recently updated my aging TV & Sound Sound System, so with a new 4K Smart TV I needed a new Onyko receiver the only brand I buy. I originally had purchased this model for 7 speakers, but exchanged it for the same type/brand just 5.2 & I absolutely love it. Our Surround sound has never sounded so good, balanced etc. & Best Buy offered it for a great low price during their Black Friday in July Sale...Win/win!
