This Receiver has excellent sound and I love being able to link all my audio video to the unit. It makes my built in surround sound speakers sound great. I use the 2nd channel for speakers in other areas of my house. Plan to add a sonos at a later date.

Purchased this receiver to replace an older, much more expensive Onkyo that lost function of second zone. Sound quality is excellent and has all the functions we were looking for. Definitely recommend for home theater!

We are still learning this one. It is our 2nd Onkyo Receiver. We had our first one for many years. We love surround sound, being able to listen to our speakers from every part of the living room instead of just in front of us.

Hooked to Xfinity 4k service in 5.2.1 configuration. Great sound and picture. Microphone assisted speaker configuration works flawlessly. Amazon Music interface is slow and visually outdated, now using Amazon Music app on Xfinity box.

So far, using this for 6 months with no issues. Using it as a 5.1 setup and its working great. Easy set-up to get you started. Need to turn up the volume to around 50, which seems alarming... but it seems normal.

Works absolutely great. Docking a star because it sometimes has a little trouble with Chromecast, but most of the time no issues. I attached a 5.1 system to it no problem and it sounded great. Love the controls and integrates very well with my setup.

We recently replaced our receiver with this one to have true 4K processing. It works flawlessly providing ARC capability and a separate speaker output for our back porch. Easy to set up, sounds great with our Bose Acoustimass speakers.

I replaced my Sony STR-DH750 with this receiver. Built in Apple Air Play and Chromecast Audio. I like the ability to use either of those features and still watch TV. This sound quality is great. And the multi-room feature is amazing

I had high hopes that this Onkyo receiver would provide sound quality on par with my 15 year old Onkyo and I was not disappointed at all. Now I am Upgraded and ready to tackle any AV situation requiring Bluetooth

The unit is a replacement for the Onkyo receiver we purchased many years back that stopped working. So we are very happy to know that this one not only works, but has great sound to broadcast music and TV thru our Bose system.

In comparing this to previous models of that same price point, it's definitely taking a nose dive. The Controls/Remote are as cheap/basic as a kid's toy. The build/weight of it also seems cheap. Light and Flimsy. The sound isn't as good as the last comparable model I had which actually was $200 more. It's really has been minimized. Even the dial doesn't light up like past editions. It has a ton of features, is THX and Atmos/Vision/4K HDR but for the money, don't expect much. Most of my ONKYO receivers get high use and usually die 4-5 years later. The last one was fixed 2X for a faulty DTS chip. My receivers don't get heavy use, but do get a lot of it. Just filling tv audio and an occasional blu ray. But we are definitely not blasting death metal for 10 hours at a time. It's always on. But is used lightly. If you get it for $299 or less, take a shot. But I wouldn't pay a penny more for this Onkyo.

I recently purchased this receiver and just did a quick hook up......still waiting to get my new speaker system. Going through the options I love that you can control most the receiver's functions through the smartphone app and the onscreen TV display for it's functions.

Its ok. Just ok. Have it connected to the tv and use it everyday. Surround sounds good. It not really friendly to hooking up your own music like your phone or a drive or mp3
