This replaces my Onkyo 606 which was like 13 years old, very reliable, sounds great. Great value

I bought this reciver as upgrade to my old unit. This unit provides great sound quality.

I'd purchased this item because I have a built-in speaker system in my home. Until this purchase it had been powered by an older Denon surround sound receiver. I streamed music to it from my phone or laptop with an Apple TV. The receiver is located in my home theater room where there is another surround sound receiver used to power the home theater. I'd recently acquired several Google Home Minis and had hoped to use them to control the music throughout the house, in addition to being able to airplay music from my iphone as I do now. This unit looked like the perfect thing as it supports airplay and has chromecast built in. I'd hoped to replace both existing receivers with this one unit, with zone 1 being the 5.1 theater room surround system, and zone 2 powering the music speakers throughout the house. Unfortunately I found after purchase that chromecast built-in only works in Zone 1. This is weird because Airplay and Spotify both work in both / either zone. I called Onkyo and verified that for some reason none of their mutli-zone recievers work with chromecast in zone 2. I kept the unit and am using mu old surround sound reciever for the theater room and Zone 1 of the Onkyo for the home speakers. I couldn't find any better options on the market for what I want to do. This is a very strange restriction for chromecast however and greatly reduces the overall value of this receiver as I'm using less than half of what it can do.

Great receiver. Onkyo is the best. I have yet to use the 7.2 feature but it is easy to setup .

I love my onkyo, once I had to get it fixed after buying it.... product was defective from the git go.. yes it an “open box” but it was labeled “Best Certified” or some sort.. brought it back and talked to representative and he was also confused especially how it was supposed to checked cause of it being a “certified” and I had a “sorry bout your luck” type attitude form all the associates that got involved.

I am very happy with this purchase. It has a ton of options for listening and the surround sound is amazing!

Old receiver was nice but volume went out. This new one has some nice new features and sounds great

I got this unit to replace an older Onkyo that was on it's way out. Very happy with this new unit!

It has to be turned up to 60 percent to hear it but it cranks out at 80 percent

Installed in my home for multiple outputs and it work great. The sound is clear and free of static.

Had first Onkyo for 6 years, sound started going in and out intermittently. As all electronics there is no time limits on when they could stop working today. Talked to customer service at Onkyo and they suggested a new updated model that directly fit right back in my cabinet with no modifications. They were really nice and professional and even did a net search why we were on the phone to save me several dollars.

Nice receiver. Works great in my home theater. I would buy again.
