Customers are saying

Customers find value in the TX 7.2-Ch. Hi-Res 4K HDR Compatible A/V Home Theater Receiver's exceptional sound quality and ease of use, frequently praising its setup and Bluetooth capabilities. While some users noted the receiver's size and a few issues with the remote and zone 2 functionality, the positive feedback on sound and ease of use outweighs these concerns. Many also appreciate the receiver's features and price point.

I bought an Onkyo receiver in 1958 and it still is powering our home sound system, so why not stay with a product that lasts.

The receiver works pretty good however there seems to be a lag with the bluetooth. When I play music, it won't start playing on the speakers until a good 5 seconds later. Same happens when pausing.

This is great addition for my home theater system. The only problem I have is the audio cast feature as well as the airplay are very bugy. Half the time it doesn't work. Other than that its a great reciever

Was a Replacement for an older system

Was hoping to replace a Onkyo NR609, did my research and though that late night meant the same thing as Audyssey Dynamic EQ/volume. Cranking it to 60 sounded bad, even modifying the EQ. This is my second attempt with a Onkyo, other was a TX-SR373. Very disappointed with both receivers. 4K @ 60hz worked well but, no reason to pay such a high price for what sounded like 2.0 to 5.1 multichannel virtual stereo, no oh-ah, no boom, no rumbling on the floor, just flat. I tried every possible configuration within the receiver for what I was used too. My Fisher RS-616 sounded better and is 33 years old at 2.0 stereo on Polk Audio T-15's. It was a workaround until I got a better replacement. The other connections on the back where a waste for me. All I have is an Xbox One X connected and output to Vizio E55u-D0 (I know not HDR ready-it will be replaced soon) Best Buy did refund my money once I brought it back the next day in its own box with remote and everything that came with it. Then did research again and ordered a Denon AVR-S650H (2019) right there at the store to be shipped to me. Trust me you will not be disappointed with this model. Kept the speakers from old system (609); center, surround and sub (SKW-770). Front replaced with Polk Audio T-15's (2015-$75 for the pair) There is only one thing that I thank Onkyo for; introducing me to Audyssey.

Really like it. The Blue Tooth feature is a great addition. Also really like all of the sound quality features for the audio parts of watching DVD/Blue-Ray movies.

Used so I only had to run 2 wires inside wall to mount 65" TV, custom setup was a little difficult but after getting all the quirks out, awesome receiver

This is a very good budget receiver. I mostly picked it out because of the large number of connections and HDMI inputs as compared to the price. I would buy it again.

Purchased on sale. I am having an issue where my center channel doesn't always line up with everything else. It might be my speaker set up though.

Love this stereo. This was an upgrade from old Onyko. Have 2 speaker zones set up, one for my TV and the other for outdoor speakers.

This receiver had plenty of HDMI ports which is a plus. I had trouble pre setting radio stations with the remote and manually. I eventually returned the receiver in about a week.

I owned a denon 7.1 from 2013 and finally upgraded to Dolby atmos 7.2! I couldn’t beat the $250 sale price! Sounds great in the theater room.

I purchase this receiver because it works with my Sonos connect, and use it for Zone 2 output. Within 30 days of my purchase, there was a price drop and I automatically received a credit.
