Great brand but just a lemon
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This 787 was shipped to me and it was not working correctly it kept shutting down so I got a company who installs home theaters and they believe the mother board wasn’t working correctly.

Not worth the purchase
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to upgrade my existing Onkyo receiver. Maybe I bought a lemon but the thing randomly dropped sound and had to be cycled off than on to get working again.

Faulty unit
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Took it out of the box and in system setup it failed. Might of been a bad unit but i am not sure of that. Took it back to store and bought a pioneer.

Great for multi room
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been looking for a multi zone receiver for awhile. Most receivers only have zone 2 powered. This one is powered on zone 2 and zone 3. Work perfect for me. I can watch tv in the living room And have music playing in the front yard with its own volume and have music playing in the backyard with its own volume. Smart phone app is very easy to use. Easy setup all together and sounds amazing compared to my old receiver.

Very disappointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this receiver back in July, and had issues right out of the box. ARC didn't work that great with my LG OLED. Half the time it wouldn't detect the input or there wouldn't be any sound. I tried it with my older Samsung 8500 in order to rule out the LG being the issue and I had the same problem. I battled these issues off and on and nothing worked. I bought all new HDMI cables and this didn't work. I tried running everything off of my Nvidia box and this also didn't work. The issues are numerous with this receiver. I may come back and try to update this later, but now I'm a little to annoyed. Currently it has no sound out of any of the hdmi ports, but the Bluetooth is working. Unfortunately for me I am stuck with it and have to reach out to the manufacturer as I am a month past the allowed return date.

dead on arrival
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unboxed hooked all speakers and components up before turning on power that takes a lot of time disconnecting old one re connecting everything. plugged in new one and nothing just green standby light disconnected everything changed outlets tried powering just unit itself on same thing. So now I have to drive to Best buy an hour each way to return this pos. I have never had an onkyo receiver I loved my Denon but no Atmos. Onkyo not impressed going to exchange it for a new one but if its a POS too I will never buy an Onkyo product again at any price. I have never bought a 650 dollar item dead out of the box. If your brave enough to buy this receiver hook it up immediately don't wait and lose your return window don't buy from some 3rd party with horse crap return policies.
