Bought for media room. Works well so far and like the dual HDMI OUT

Doesn't have latest hdmi but not needed because my tv does. I output sound from tv via fiber optic cable to NR696. Excellent sound. I enjoy tune-in radio output directly from the receiver. Has phono input and Chromecast.

I can see why this receiver was CNET's best receiver of 2019. The huge amount of features and connectivity for the price was very good. The only drawback is the DSP chip takes about 3 seconds to make the sound audible so when changing inputs, there is a lag in sound.

This was a replacement receiver of the same brand. Everything well marked and the setup software is a wizard which you answer questions and it chooses the right configuration for your speakers & home theater. I might add our last Onyko receiver from over 11 years ago was a 5.1 (vs this 7.2 ch.) and cost just about the same as this one.

Best bang for your buck..period, dolby atmos rules..uograded and will never look back..get this reciever

Great improvement from previous Onkyo system I had. Very easy to set up.

Perfect for what I need. The one thing that it doesnt do (although I don't need it to) is pass through with 4k at 60fps. So to the office it went and away from the play room.

It produces the high quality and exceptional sound that you can't find it on others brands.

A bit complicated but overall very good system. Like the wifi feature for Sonos

Ordered online And Went to local store to pick up, Unit was Open Box But wasn't supposed to be missing anything Necessary, We'll it was just the unit, No remote No Manual No Calibration Mic.... All these are necessary.... Associate was less than Helpful and said they don't have the Box Remote or Manual or anything It was a return...... Clearly it wasn't described accurately on website, they offered no additional Discount and I had to purchase a remote by Logitech because no other Remote would work at a price tag of 300 dollars..... So Not going back to that store
