    I do not like how Onkyo sound. I don't like Pioneer, either, which uses some of the same components. I also feel like they are using a numbers game in trying to beat their opponents. On paper they have more, but sound-wise they have less. But this is all subjective so give it a listen before you buy.

    Poor quality of sound. You also need to put volume way up to hear it. I am using for my surround sound. You are better without.

    I had to return the unit and purchased a Yamaha receiver. The unit never allowed me to setup my ARC capable TV via the aRC setup. Also, I had the audio go out after a couple days. I reset the unit and it worked again, but I returned it as the issues were an omen on things to come.

    Easy to Install and use but do not have enough power to deliver different layer of sounds and bass. Still a good set for beginners.

    If I could give a zero star rating I could. It was fine for the first few hours. Then I went and tried to do a firmware update. That was a mistake. It kept showing a 0-83 error which is a connection error. I had the receiver wired directly to my router. I have fiber. Speed and connection aren’t issues. Tried multiple times and no dice, it was stuck in the firmware section and would not come out of it. Checked online and apparently updating through the network connection is an issue. I finally gave up and boxed it up and went and swapped it for the Yamaha RX-V6.
