Great upgrade
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This replaced a 20 year old Kenwood Surround Sound receiver that we still enjoyed. Amazing how much technology has improved. Excellent sound quality with all the existing Polk speakers.

Best system yet from Onkyo
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Onkyo does it again. Another awesome media center. I love being able to use the built in alexa or stream apple music in lossless format. The sound is amazing. Pairing this with a matching set of kiplich speakers. The sound is awesome.

Lots of features and excellent sound
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lots of features and excellent sound, more features than I have used, and great configurations. The phono pre amp isn't the best, but most wouldn't use it for that, if you listen to vinyl you probably have a separate setup anyways.

Not Worth it as main receiver
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sound Quality is great, decent options. However maybe I received a faulty unit. Out of my Marantz for my main system and Denon for my Garage. This unit has been the most Pain in the butt to work with. Hdmi out menu will not display on my tv or even a monitor. Very difficult to navigate settings on the tiny screen. Can't get it to connect on the app. Even after spending 30 mins getting, it to connect to my network. Every time I shut it off, it goes into a setup phase. I cannot do anything about since I can't see the menu. Cuts the audio off till I back out of it with the remote. I have a protection plan on it, however I don't want it sent out and have to wait for 3 weeks for it possibly to be fixed. I understand the process since i worked for GeekSquad for 7 years.

Quality Sound System
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Can be challenging to set up but once we had it set up, the system provides great sound quality. Sometimes I hear things thinking it’s real but later realize it’s the sound system. It’s got a lot of features but I generally don’t use most of the features.

Good buy
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Updated my tv so also needed to update my receiver. This is a good quality nice option and rated highly by cnet. Setup was easy and sound quality is good. I do wish it had more hdmi inputs and at least one composite input for my retro video game consoles but a $25 adapter can take care of that. Overall a good buy for the price but makes sure it’s on sale.

Great Quality receiver
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was skeptical about switching from known brands like Pioneer and Yamaha for receivers. It wasn’t until my buddy, a connoisseur of tech at BB, told me that they (Onkyo) is up there with the magnolia line and pioneer and Yamaha. So far amazing quality sound, and more than enough inputs for my home theater set up.

If you’re looking for a 7.1/5.1.2, look no further
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love this unit. Easy to set up. Purchased this as I knew I’d be able to utilize a set of speakers already installed in my ceiling for height. Have used Onkyo for the last 7 years and will be continuing to do so!

Satisfied
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have had the unit about 2 months. Overall works well. Multiple HDMI ports a plus. Sound is best between 50% to 75% of volume use. Lower settings yield very little sound on a Surround Unit. Remote is excellent. For the money has nearly every feature that's desirable. Overall would recommend.

State of the art AV Receiver, every bell & whistle
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very very happy with this. It was a distressed purchase as my older Sony ES AVR stopped switching video. A strategic purchase for when my 2006 Samsung 56 inch TV is replaced by a large screen 4k TV, this Onkyo AVR has all the capabilities to switch 4K HDR video as well as providing great sound. Love the app to use a phone or tablet as a remote control, have the kitchen TV hooked up to Zone2 and can control turning that part of the AVR on/off and alter volume using WiFi. Thoroughly recommended!!

Great sound for the money.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased our receiver because our other 4 year old Onkyo Stopped playing audio. We really liked the quality of the sound and ease of setting up. We decided to give them another shot. Reason for the 3 star was the early no audio issue.
