Hookup was clear, and then the setup menu was pretty easy. Sounds great!

And very pleased with how it works. It’s the best I’ve used so far and the app is very helpful but it would be nice if I could connect without having to change my wifi network... It’s easy to set up and the buttons are very clear for setting up your devices and changing between those devices. Now I just have to update the TV

I love my Onkyo TX-NR 696!! I feel like it deserved receiver of the year for 2020! I had a Denon that was comparable but the sound just wasn’t as clean sounding. I guess you could say the Denon had a little warmer sound but the Onkyo was just more defined and precise!!! The only complaint I have has been some HDMI switching issues.

great sounding system. Installer was professional, quick and got it all set up the way it should be. will definitely be buying here for the next upgrade.

Use it all of the time and several friends have asked what brand it is and they have been considering a possible purchase for their home. Recommend this for everyone in the Market looking for quality and a reasonable price.

This is the perfect step from 5.1 to 7.2! I’m still using 5.1 with this, but once I add 2 speakers it will move to 7.2 easily. This produces such great sound that this unit is my second one. The APP is great too.

my old Onkyo finally died after 15 years so I purchased this one. Very easy hook-up, and love how everything is controlled from the receiver. The blue tooth is great and have it hooked up to some outside speakers so we can have music in the back yard. My only complaint was it is was not very clear on how to get Alexa to play thru it.

My first receiver with HDMI capacity. Far more options than I need currently, as I don't stream content yet. Waiting for neighbors to be gone, so I can let it rip. Using Klipsch RM-600's and Klipsch Atmos 500's. I also like the phono play. Got into buying albums when I was in the Army (1973-1976). Quite a collection.

The main reason I got this over a Denon 950 is the sale price at the time. Come to find out, the onscreen menu and smaller pop up menu is much better than Denon. The auto calibration might not be on the same level,but I am always tinkering in the settings. You won't be disappointed if you purchase this over the Denon

i like it because it is smaller than my previous receiver. the set up was very easy (I'm not a techie). Works well with my surround sound system and TV.
