Had Geek Squad install the system, was not please with their service. Geek squad did not balance the system, did not explain any features and sratch our console. We have been learning as we go.....

Good HDMI switching, not great sound.

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to try after my Pioneer Elite receiver had a problem with the HDMI board. I took this home and the setup was simple. The room correction software is very simple, in that it is quick and doesn't do very well. I turned it on and the sources snapped on screen fast and was very responsive. Then came the listening. The sound is hollow and not powerful sounding. I know others will say it sounds great but I don't think they have much experience with different products or brands. Look up reviews on this online and you will see that the reason it is cheap is the poor room correction and the low quality amplifier. The sound fields felt lacking also. Movies seemed clear but not very realistic. This is a great starter receiver for someone going from a soundbar but other than that type of customer, don't bother. The sound is not worth the price. I can tell all the money they spent making this receiver was in the features and not the sound. Spend a little more and get a lot better sound for your speakers. This one got returned and now I have a Marantz that sounds worlds better. Like taking a blanket off my speakers, so to speak.
