This was a great service when I needed it - much cheaper than a land line, and was portable. While I had custody of an older relative, I needed to have one number for the house that could be reached outside of my cell phone (Court required) The service was great, and I could hook this up in both of our residences, as I needed to move it from place to place. I would use it again if land lines were still needed.

Minor install issues, however, not too difficult to iron out. If one is not familiar with computers, it may be frustrating.

Glad I gave this device a try. Paying $46 a month for land line with AT&T. This will help the pocketbook.

It was easy to set up. I picked a temporary number then had my number ported in a day with no issues. Customer service was very helpful. I am now saving over $25 a month on my phone bill.

Purchased a used Ooma Telo six years ago. It still worked, but started missing a call now and then and giving an echo in calls. The new one was purchased 04/25/22. It works as it should and provides the kind of good service we got from our original Telo. Both Telos have been a great purchase and have provided service that makes me want to continue using this system. Certainly worth the money.

    Caller ID Does Not Work!

I've been an coma customer since 2008. I bought my original hub and scout from BestBuy and never had a single problem with it. I decided it was time to move up to the Telo system since it had supposedly better connectivity to faxes, etc. Mind you when I disconnected the old Hub it was still working perfectly. I connected the new Telo and it took more than three days for them to transfer my account to my new Telo, how's that for a loyal customer service! The following day my caller ID stopped working for the Telo. I called Saturday and after doing stupid tests which I knew were a waste of time, they told me they would contact Engineering and they would call me back in 24 to 36 hours! I called after 36 hours since they never called back! I wanted to talk to somebody in engineering. They said that it wasn't possible and level 3 support told me that she would call me back after she spoke to them. She did call back later that day to finally let me know that there's a firmware problem that is being worked on by engineering. That they would have fix by the end of the week or the beginning of next week. Today is Thursday, if they don't solve the problem by next Tuesday I will return the unit to Best buy and get my money back and subscribe to Time Warner phone. Their international rates are cheaper. I should also mention that the speaker on the new Telo is not loud enough to screen calls. At its loudest setting the voices break up and are hard to understand.

    Follow-up review on Ooma Telo

    Posted .

I purchased my Ooma Telo in November 2014, and it has been working well for over 3 and a half years now. I have saved a lot of money, and 10 months ago I purchased an Ooma home security motion sensor for $35, which also works quite well with the Telo. I estimate that I have saved over $1200.00 with the Telo alone, and about $300.00 on the security device so far. I have recommended these devices to friends and family, and they have have saved money as well. I highly recommend Ooma products.

    Great service, HELL TO CANCEL

I used Ooma for years and was very pleased with it. Nomorobo is an absolute game. changer. and I had no robocalls for the whole time I used Ooma. However. I moved to a place where I can't use VoIP. Cancelling it was the nightmare. The first time I called to cancel it, the agent was so hard to understand that I apparently agreed to just downgrade the service I can't use. That's not what I remember, but it's what's in their notes. The second time I called to cancel it, having explained in great detail at least five times why I was doing so, the agent tried to following to keep my account: 1. patching me through to the first agent...why? He wasn't available, but that shouldn't have even been on the table in the first place. JUST CANCEL MY SERVICE. 2. offering me free downgraded service...that I can't use. PLEASE JUST CANCEL MY SERVICE. 3. offering me a free device...that I can't use. PLEASE JUST CANCEL MY SERVICE. It ultimately took more than an hour over two phone calls to just...cancel my service.
