We've had the Telo for about a month. What should have been an easy set-up was not so easy, because the activation code would not work. Two days and three calls later, customer support got me going. The rest of the set-up and porting of my old phone number was very easy. I'll have to say, the support group was very responsive and efficient, but no one offered a reason for the bad activation code. We still have lots to learn about features (We went for the premium service), but so far, we are very pleased with the sound quality and features. I would have given 5 stars if I had not had start-up issues.

My mom likes this! This Ooma was installed to replace an old phone service that was turning into a $60 plus a month service. Both my parents are in there mid 60s and it has taken some learning to understand the iOS apps. But they enjoy the fact the voicemails can be sent to email. This new Ooma system was very helpful after our town was hit with a tornado that did damage to our phone, cable, and electric lines. I help setup an auto text message when a new voice mail was left with the Ooma. With my mom's smart phone, she was able to check her email every time she got a voice mail so the outage was not as bad as it would have been with the normal phone service with a landline.

Start up is easy. Customer service was very good. i payed for the whole year. I will be billed for the monthly taxes. Very inexpensive. I kept my old landline phone number.

Making the switch to VOIP was the right choice especially with Velo, the sound quality is great and it was a cinch to hook up and no more big bill from ma Bell! Get it you'll love it!

Wish I had known about this a long time ago. I snipped the house phone from my cable bill and started saving money right away. It works great. It even has a feature that lets you link it to your cell phone. That way if your cell phone rings the house phone will too and vice versa. It was simple to set up. I unplugged it one time and needed assistance troubleshooting so I called customer service and they were awesome. They helped me and it only took maybe two minutes. They were really friendly too. I have no regrets.

My Ooma was easy to hook up and set up. The price for the service you get is very inexpensive. It's great to have the long distance and local calling for free, all you pay for is taxes and fees.

Excellent value. Phone is exceptionally clear and was easy to set up. U Under $5 per month for nationwide calling and reliable 911 service.

So far I have been very much impressed with this new phone system. It was extremely easy to install, the cost is great and I love the number blocking capabilities.

Ooma works great for an inexpensive alternative phone service. We needed an extra phone line for our business and this was the best route to go.Simple to set up and voice is very clear. I would recommend this product.

Like most folks these days, I was looking to find a way to save money on my local phone service. I did a lot of research and read many reviews before making this purchase. Setup was easy. Ooma gives you a choice of phone numbers when setting up online. That was very simple. I tried this out for about a week before submitting a request to port my old copper landline to Ooma. Typically a port request takes a few weeks. Mine took about 10 days. There are many options and voicemail setup as easy. There is even a way to have Ooma communicate with your cell phone to notify you of calls and voicemails. No regrets so far.

This is a great way to save money, but I could not have done this without help from my daughter. She has one and recommended it. Even knowing what to do, she had to contact the service department a couple of times to help with the installation. The were very helpful. It stopped working once since I started using it, but you just unplug it and wait about 5 minutes after you plug it back in for it to initialize. Sound is good and clear.

Great way to keep the home phone without paying high rates at cable companies. Voice quality and we of use are also excellent. Great customer service and easy installation.

I have read it is the top rated phone service in America, and I have never had any problems at all. Mine works well for home phone and fax line. It was only replaced after 4 years because it was dropped while moving my home office to a diffrent area of the house.

Only one minor issue. I ported my number and canceled the premier service. When the premier service was canceled, incoming calls went to Dish sales (no kidding). I called customer service and they said that was because they hadn't cancelled my original Ooma number. Seems like this shouldn't happen if you pay for a number port.

I have had the unit running about a month now and it has performed admirably, as expected. I was looking forward to the change in phone service and was not disappointed. It was inexpensive and easy to set up, customer service was helpful however, on this front, my only issue occurred.... online chat function was unavailable both times I thought to use it but, over the phone service was prompt, friendly, and helpful. services are extensive and easy to use. A short "chime" occurs at the beginning of each call that I make, and could live without but, have quickly gotten used to it. I am quite happy with it.

I had bundled service of Internet/TV/Homephone. I want to un bundle so I can cut the cable and go with streaming service eventually. So I got ooma, and switched phone service to it. First caveat is ooma does not support ADT or any other 3rd party security service. Ooma has their own security system, so they have no incentive to support any others. Fortunately, I had a cell-phone backup for the security syste, so ADT was able to switch it to that. If you do not have a cell phone backup, then you might have to spend another $200 (one time) to get a cell backup. Ooma charges $40 to transfer existing homephone number to it also.

I have saved thousands over the last 9 years with using Ooma as my home phone versus traditional land line and what cable provider charges. I cannot tell a difference with Ooma and traditional land line on voice quality. I had originally purchased Ooma back in 2013 but a severe brown and black out moment lasting several hours destroyed my power surge protector and Ooma unit so I had to purchase this new one.

Crystal clear sound, easy to set up within minutes of opening, only took two days to port home number, not the 2-3 weks they said it might. Recommened to parents.

Saves so much money on having a land line. Was relatively easy to set up.

In my quest to break free of the exorbitant and ever rising rates of the cable company, I needed to replace my landline. Cell reception where I live is not reliable. After reading about the Ooma Telo telephone I decided to try it. It was easy to set up, and customer support is friendly and available. And you only pay the tax each month - $4.19 in my case. You can get additional features for a small monthly charge but we don't need them. We've been using it now for about a month and are very happy with it.
