    This is the second OOMA I've purchased and set up. I also had a version 1 Magic Jack, which still continues to work. The OOMA is a superior device as it has built in voice message management. When my free COMCAST Landline is yanked away I'll port my long standing Comcast phone number to the OOMA.

    my monthly bill with Ooma is about $4.00 Even though it's not pristine voice call quality, it's good enough. It does depend on your internet, so if your internet is down, so will your phone. I was paying almost $40 per month with Cox for home phone service, so Ooma is definitely worth it. I wouldn't depend on this as my only phone, but I assume most of us have cell phones as a primary or backup phone.
