    A little rough for me

I have been using electric and battery powered toothbrushes for years now and this one kinda threw me at first. I have never had a toothbrush you can connect to your phone to basically grade you on how well you are brushing. The app for the brush was easy to use and pair with toothbrush. The app was easy to track how long, how hard you are brushing, and the average time you brush. You don't have to connect to the app everyday, it can store up to 30days of brushing information in the toothbrush. Personally I won't use the app much, I think it is a little weird for me. I do like how the toothbrush buzzes and flashes every 30 second to let you know it is time to switch to the next zone. It does a great job cleaning in all of the different modes. My teeth feel almost dentist clean when I am done brushing and flossing. It does a great job, but for me it is a little loud and a bit rough. The toothbrush was almost too hard for me to handle at times, maybe I will get used to it in time. Not a total deal breaker, just a warning. I would say overall this is an average electric toothbrush, does a good job cleaning, but quite pricey for what it is.

I have been using another brand of electric toothbrush, and it finally has seen it's last days Trying something new, I went with the Oral-B Connecting with bluetooth was simple and easy, and offers some cool options. Like giving the colored ring some personalization The toothbrush works as well or better than the other top brand, but does offer both a colored ring and slowing feedback that you are pressing too hard. A great way not to destroy your gums The phone app is kinda nice, but more of a "wow" function the first time that you use it, but too much of a hassle after that. I go without Overall a great toothbrush for a few dollars cheaper than the other brand - but just as good or better I also noticed that the replacement heads are a little cheaper too, so that is another plus

I want to start off saying I was disappointed with the unboxing experience and the contents of that box. Not saying that it's important but when you get a expense tooth brush you expect a little more in my opinion. When you open the box you see it's designed as a throw away like a prepaid phone box and comes with the bare essentials. One tooth brush head which means I will need to buy more heads to share this with my girl a charger with a plastic clip on to house up to four tooth brush heads and than finally a very cheap hard plastic case to hold it the brush when you go on trips. At this moment I'm left thinking of other high end tooth brushes that gave a wireless charging cup or simply put extras for the same price or close. Though this is where the review begins to change and earns that five stars. The brush cleans better than ANY OTHER BRUSH I'VE EVER USED! It's also somehow more satisfying to use with the way the brush spins in comparison to a brush it replaced that I use to love. It's simple easy to use and gives you recommendations on how to brush better and how long you should brush. Simply setting guard rails for anyone who may be doing it wrong. Me in particular it was letting me know that I sometimes brush to hard and it makes it easy to curve me away from that by glowing red where I can see it easily on the handle of the brush. Simply put ladies and gentleman this is hands down the best toothbrush I've ever had and I have spent on the higher end of the spectrum to make sure that I get that great smile we all want. This is something that I not only recommend to adults but for children since it has that learning aspect and it's much easier to brush with one of these than the standard hand cranked tooth brush. BUY THIS! You can't go wrong!

As this is the first electric toothbrush I've tried, I've been using it daily for nearly two weeks now to give me a chance to acclimate to the differences between it and manual toothbrushes before posting my review. Unfortunately, I'm still not comfortable with the intense vibration that the oscillating head generates, even when on its slowest 'sensitive gums' setting. Because of the discomfort associated with this vibration, I might not be pressing the head strongly enough into my teeth and gums to get into the deep crevices that my manual toothbrush can reach, as it seems to often miss food particles there. Instances where the smooth plastic at the rear of the brush head comes into contact with my teeth are far more disturbing than normal contact with the bristles, and I manage to do this with every session of brushing. The fast speed of the oscillating head makes it very easy to accidentally spray saliva and toothpaste around the bathroom, which I still manage to do despite starting with the head placed against my teeth as instructed, and additionally turning the toothbrush off when switching between mouth quadrants. Despite the problems I have with this toothbrush, it does well at cleaning most areas of my teeth, and cleans the rear-facing surfaces of my teeth just as easily as other surfaces, where-as the rear surfaces have always been problematic for me with manual toothbrushes. I find the built-in 30 second quadrant and two minute session notifications to be very convenient, as I was not nearly as diligent and consistent with timing while using manual toothbrushes. It's nice to have different brushing modes available, but I wish these were more finely tunable using the associated app, especially regarding oscillation speed. The toothbrush is able to independently store information about quite a few brushing sessions, which it can then sync with the app at a later time, a very nice feature for those wanting to keep track of their brushing habits. I did not personally find the app's features to be of much use or interest, so it's not something I'd use regularly. As for unit design, the brush handle is not particularly ergonomic, but not at all cumbersome to use. The battery charging indicator light turns off when charging is complete; personally I'd prefer a solidly lit battery icon to indicate this status, but would have liked this to be configurable within the app. The tray that accommodates four brush heads--while a nice feature of the charging station--takes up a significant amount of valuable sink space; I would have preferred for this to have been a separate or detachable accessory. The contact-less charging design is a convenient feature, allowing for quick and worry-free docking, without having to worry about wiping the toothbrush and station dry beforehand. This toothbrush is well designed, easy to use, and includes many great features. Unfortunately, the intense vibration of the oscillating head is a major drawback for me personally, and I imagine will be for many other people as well.

Who really uses a manual toothbrush any more, with that being said, you either use an Oral B or Philips Sonicare. I have a Philips Sonicare , an Oral B 2000 series Brush and then i got this one. This is the BEST of all of them Compatibility ========= Let's start by saying that this toothbrush is backward compatible with your older Oral B Bristles so the ones you for from COSTCO, save it, you can use them on these. Design ====== Nicely Built, Fits great in your hand, the rubberized grip is an added bonus Features ====== This Brush can connect to your phone via Bluetooth and there is an App which will guide you step by step on how to connect and use. very simple. The app is available on both android and iphone app store and it can also let you know the statistics on how your brushing habits are. Also it is a bi-directional, it will let your brush know which mode to use.. how cool is that!. There is a Digital Guide which lets you know which program you are using and how you are brushing with star ratings It senses the pressure, if you are brushing too hard, you may damage the enamel and once it is lost it is gone for good. This Brush will help you retain it, it will glow with red color if you apply too much pressure It has the following modes - whitening , fresh breath , Ortho care and gum health and each of them has its own speed and pressure variations

I've used an older model Oral-B electric toothbrush for many years now and have found it to be easy to use, reliable, and effective. My dentist has also been impressed by its effectiveness. As good as my old brush was, this new generation from Oral-B brings several subtle but meaningful improvements. The design is a fresh, contemporary plain white with LED indicators for charging and mode. There's also a new colored LED near the top of the brush that glows when you're brushing and turns red if you're applying too much pressure to your gums. The charging stand is compact and neither the stand nor the brush feature any exposed electrical contacts (the units sits neatly on the base and charges inductively). Brush heads from older generations of Oral-B brushes should also fit fine on this new one and vice versa. The brushing experience is generally unchanged but I found this new model to be quieter and feel a little better to use. The feature that senses when too much pressure is being applied seems a little too sensitive for my taste, but I'm sure I'll get used to it. The brush will vibrate four times (once every 30 seconds) as you use it to prompt you to clean each quadrant of your mouth thoroughly. Clean up is simple - just rinse under water as the brush unit is waterproof. One of the selling points for this unit is the addition of bluetooth functionality to connect to an app on your smartphone. Pairing the brush with the phone is easy via the app and I've had no issues with connectivity. The brush will even store data for up to 30 sessions and then sync it to the app next time you connect. If you brush while the app is open, a graphic will show a timer that progresses across the four quadrants of your mouth to help you gauge timing. While this happens, the app will cycle through some news, weather, or other factoids to help pass the time. While I've had no technical issues with the app,. it really doesn't strike me as all that useful. I'm not sure I need to log brushing time, or why the screen display is any more helpful than the four vibration prompts built into the unit. Also, the app's requirement for location services is a bit of a concern (I assume this is required for bluetooth). There is a more advanced function that uses the camera on your phone to look at how you're holding the brush and try to detect which teeth you're brushing so as to help you cover each thoroughly. This requires a mirror mount for the cell phone which was not included in the package. Honestly this seems a bit like an answer in search of a question. I don't need a facial analysis algorithm to tell me which teeth I'm brushing as standard Mk 1 humans come equipped with nerve endings in their mouths already. Overall, although the connected features feel a bit like a solution to a problem nobody had, I can definitely recommend this product as an excellent choice for dental hygiene. Ignore the fancy facial recognition piece and just use the brush (and app if you like) to help ensure good thorough cleaning. Your teeth and your dentist will thank you for the investment!

always loved there brushes. this is no different other then even better. it connects with your phone thru an app and tracks your habits. it also has better functions then others I have used. like it has a pressure sensor so if you press to hard it will slow it down. I like that you can get different brushes for the same unit. I recommend for sure.

I moved to an electric toothbrush several years ago at the recommendation of my dentist, who noted that my use of manual toothbrushes and brushing patterns were evident to him when examining my teeth during a semi-annual cleaning/checkup appointment. I've tried several different electric toothbrushes in the years since and can say unequivocally that the Oral-B Pro 6000 toothbrush with its smartphone capabilities is a significant step forward in delivering real-time feedback on your brushing habits. It delivers the quality cleaning experience you would expect from Oral-B (a brand highly esteemed among dental care professionals - my dentist hands out free Oral-B manual toothbrushes for example). The designers didn't miss a thing - the form factor is ideal and the travel case will make it easy to keep this device close at hand no matter where I am. I feel very comfortable strongly recommending this toothbrush - sure to enhance your regular brushing routine and ensure you are doing all you can to protect one of our most valuable assets and significant players in our overall health and well-being: our teeth!

Quickly list for me, if you will, 10 things you wish were "smart" devices. I'm gonna bet a toothbrush doesn't make the list. Even so, you ought to give this one a try, here's why: everybody skimps a little on certain habits sometimes. Now your toothbrush can call you out on it. The app is pretty slick and well-designed, without the usual clunkiness associated with "omg, why is this thing bluetooth enabled?"-type devices. I know it sounds totally silly, but beyond the "numbers geek" fun factor, it has sensors that make immediate feedback pretty useful - especially if you brush harder than you should. Even better - you can track which sections of your mouth aren't getting the attention they need. You can earn badges for keeping good care of your teeth. Your dentist can work out a specialized care plan that your toothbrush then knows about and helps keep you on top of. Cool factor: you can change the LED lights on top to whatever color you want. The battery is inductive and seems to last just as long as any other electric toothbrush I've had while also charging in a reasonable amount of time. The plug-and-go travel case is also pretty awesome. Useful: the heads aren't as bulky as some of the competitor's heads - meaning a lot less waste goes into the trash. Also, the heads are swappable, and in theory, more than one person could use the same base. Two big negatives: 1) this is the noisiest toothbrush I've ever used (I've used Sonicare in the past - this is easily twice as loud). 2) the "area detection" requires some sort of special suction cup which isn't included in the box (to mount your smartphone to the mirror so it knows which section of your teeth you're brushing). Without this, it's kinda awkward, holding your phone out so it sees the right angle, etc. Overall - if you're a data geek or have kids with smartphones and bad hygiene habits, this toothbrush is a must buy. For everyone else: it will make you a better brusher, probably, and since most electric toothbrushes are about this same price anyway, I'd drop the extra money on the extra features.

My wife and I have been using Oral-B electric toothbrushes for about 25 years. This is the best toothbrush we have used. I took off a star because I felt that it had too many unnecessary features. First the good points. This brush uses the same accessories as the previous models. It also uses the same charging adapter, which unfortunately is not a universal type, but 120 volt only, as are the previous ones. Why the manufacturer can't make a dual voltage charger is puzzling to me. This thing has more lights on it than you can imagine. A big color changing light at the top of the unit changes color when Bluetooth is connected, or you are brushing too hard. There is a built in timer that interrupts the motor for a moment every 30 seconds to let you know to change quadrant. The motor is very powerful, but not too loud. This brush seems to run at a faster rate than my previous one. It also has several different patterns of brushing (fast for a bit, then slower, then back and repeat.) I'm not too sure the purpose of these, but there there if you want them. There are also two speeds. The features that caused me to take off a star have to do with the Bluetooth - phone connection. The connection works fine. The issue is that it doesn't add any real value to the equation - at least for me. I can see how it could be very useful if you had children. When you connect the brush to your phone, it will step you through brushing your teeth, your tongue, flossing, and rinsing. It also has a timer that counts down the time and alerts when to change quadrants. Since the brush already does this, it doesn't seem useful,as it isn't as handy. There is also a feature I didn't try. You can setup you camera to video you brushing your teeth. Somehow it will verify you did brush for 30 seconds in each quadrant. Again, maybe useful if you have children and want to verify that they did brush properly. Bottom line, great brush, and I would get it again, especially if it didn't include the Bluetooth stuff.

I wanted to wait to visit the dentist to see if this really reduced the plaque but I feel it really has improved my teeth and gum's health. It's easy to use. I haven't used the blue tooth feature much but enjoy that I have the option. I'll figure it out soon as when I got this, I immediately went on vacation and forgot the instructions. I have been using this toothbrush for the past month so I could give a thorough review. Right out of the box it is an easy set up. I love that the brush head rotates 360 degrees instead of up and down, this allows for a cleaner smooth tooth surface. After each brush I noticed my teeth was smoother and a little whiter. It also allows for different head attachments which is great for all your dental hygiene needs. I definitely recommend this over the other brands because the head easily gets to the back of my teeth and in between. Clean and fresh after every brush! A must buy.

The best electronic toothbrush I've ever used. Set up is very simple. The motor is powerful, but not too aggressive. The pressure sensors help guide you in the event you apply too much force to an area. I love the bluetooth feedback on my phone. I feel like I just left the dentist office after each use. It's a wonderful feeling. The Oral-B Pro 6000 is easy to maneuver in the mouth making it really simple to clean hard to reach areas in the back of the mouth. The latest Oral B 6000 toothbrush has more bells and whistles than any of its predecessors, more than I know what to do with. The first thing I noticed is it feels lighter and easier to hold than previous models. This paired with what appears to be a longer lasting battery is a great combination that needed to be upgraded. I do feel the brush speed has been perfected and the brush head included in the package is just the right softness and shape. The rest of the upgrades in the new model are merely to sugar coat the top of line model with a ton of extras including what is contained on the application that you can pair the Bluetooth enabled toothbrush. Once paired with the app, you can adjust the light on the brush itself which can be really bright until you change it to a more soothing color of choice; so bright that you could use it to your advantage if you ever have the need to brush in the pitch dark and light a room up for that matter. The brush has several different speed and brush settings that I feel are mostly for show because why does anyone really need your brush speed to fluctuate so many different ways besides off and on? The app does feature many useful tools including a timer which also tracks the time you spend on each zone in your mouth, a reminder for brushing your tongue, flossing and rinsing with mouthwash. It also can help you find a dentist and gives you great recommendations on how to keep your mouth and teeth in tip top shape. I will say that they have made a definite improvement from the prior and lower models and there’s not a tooth brush I have ever used that compares to this flagship model. I would definitely recommend this to anyone in the market for the best of the best toothbrush on the market however it may be difficult to justify the price point unless it guaranteed no more trips to the dentist.
