    We replaced an old blender that was giving us problems. This one does an outstanding job of crushing ice, especially for our frozen margaritas. Absolutely no trace of ice chunks after blending them. We have not tried making smoothies or other fruit specialties, so am unable to comment on that aspect.

    I made great malts and wonderful waffles using this blender. Plus it fits in the cabinet under the counter. I haven't tried the smoothie carafe yet.

    My mother is a fan of OSTER, I had purchased for her another brand and it was a piece of junk. I researche this Oster, got it and she could not be happier. It has lots of power, love the accessories and the smoothie glass. Give it a whirl!

    I purchased this to make smoothies and nut butters. The smoothies came out awesome! The pre program settings made blending my ingredients either frozen, liquid or fresh, easy and fast. The program let you choice fine, medium or thick blend. The mixture was always spot on! The nut butter was a totally different story. This took a very long time with constantly having to stop and push the nuts back to the center so it could cream properly. I did finally get nut butter, but this blender is made in my opinion for smoothies.

    We are happy so far, been having it for more than a month now. The speed settings are adequate to our needs and there's enough power to get food processed to what we needed it to.

    It's a little noisy but it makes good smoothies I haven't use it for anything else yet, I only had it for four days.

    While it may seem like it has only basic features, it works great! We use it mainly for smoothies and it will turn itself off when it's done! That was an unexpected feature. The only drawback I have seen so far, and it's minor, I haven't figured out a way to get the rubber gasket out from under the blades without poking my hand on the extremely sharp blades.

    Blends food to a perfect texture. Easy to clean and easy to maneuver. Plus the additional cup, is perfect my milkshakes.

    The blender was nice, the glass jar was large & held a lot of items. The fact that it DID NOT LEAK was a real plus for me. My only complaint would be that dried cranberries would stick to the blades and not blend in with everything else. I haven't figured out why that happens or what to do to eliminate the problem.

    I bought it because I wanted to try a home delivery smoothie program. The smaller, plastic container is perfect for smoothies. The larger, glass container is great for making big batches of chili sauce and soups. All goes into dishwasher. No problems with leakage. Lots of features. It did take a little bit to learn how to get it to seat properly in the base.
