The first one we purchased was not as durable and reliable as I had expected. The Otterbox Commuter is thicker and more durable, but without all the bulkiness. My wife loves her Otterbox in purple as well!

Bad Fit

Enough of the sensor is covered to make it not work. I did not want to mess with a return so I used my Drimel tool and cut off the portion that was covering the sensor.

We sincerely apologize that the Commuter series didn't end up working seamlessly with your fingerprint sensor! This is certainly odd, since as long as you were using that case in conjunction with a Galaxy Note 9, the unit should have allowed for full device functionality, including the fingerprint sensor. Had you contacted us, our friendly Otters would have been more than happy to further examine this, but we're glad to see that you found a solution that works better for you.

Good phone case

The case would chip the corners of screen protector. I wish it had a cover for the S pen because I noticed that if I drop the phone, the pen falls out and I could see how it could be easily lost. Other than that, it's a good case for the phone.

It doesn't quite fit the phone as snug as it should, the phone can be seen through the seams of the case. It does still offer protection, it's just not made as well as I'm used to.

Feels very solid and comes up far enough over the curved edge or the screen. I recommend using in conjunction with a good tempered glass screen protector .

I really like that it has a flap where you charge the phone to protect it from dust and dirt.

You pay a decent amount of money for these cases, it would be better if you were protected alittle bit more.

I also love that this case has a cover for the charging port so dust and pocket lint stays out of the phone.
