My wife and I each have the same cover and it has saved my phone from all the abuse of life. I am able to use it, charge it and never worry about it again.

It wasn't much but that thin layer of plastic added a little more protection and gave me a little peace of mind. Now I am on eggshells every time my drop drops out of the holster which is quite often because it doesn't lock in every time. This is a terrible case do not buy it. If you do invest in the Glass screen protector.

Our deepest apologies about any disappointment regarding our screenless Galaxy Note 8 Defender! We intentionally decided to leave out the built-in screen protector with this series to provide full access to the uniquely curved infinity display. As for the belt clip, we might recommend putting the phone into the holster with the screen facing out, since this orientation has proved to work best with the Defender. If you continue to have issues, please feel free to call our handy Otters at 1-855-688-7269, and they'll find a quick fix for this!

This case has three layers of protection and will be well used on my Note 8. The phone itself is 930 dollars and you should spend a decent amount on a great case.
