I always choose an Otterbox case for my phones, they have the best protection as far as phone cases go in my opinion. It is a perfect fit and does not make my phone bulky or even bigger than it already is.

As with the entire Defender line this will protect your phone...critique ...No frills cover

I'm very pleased with this rugged case. It's strong and rugged without being bulky. I feel that my new phone is well protected. I also like/need the belt clip that is integral with this case.

If your cell phone has been dropped in the past, you'll want to protect it with this sturdy case. Feels good in your hand, does make your cell phone a bit larger, but I would rather have that than the cracked screens or dented sides I've had in the past with my phones. It comes in various colors too.

I've been using otter box for all my phones the last few years and am very happy because I tend to drop my phone a lot, it really protects like it's supposed to. This new model doesn't have the plastic front see through cover and I actually like it better this way. My old phone had the cover and if it got dirty or scratched, it was annoying taking it apart to clean, eventually the plastic became dull to see through and couldn't be removed. I also like that the otter box helps me avoid from touching the screen accidentally, it's flush with the phone but its sleek design keeps it from feeling bulky like older models.

Im a physical education teacher, and I needed a case that could take the punishment. This case does just that. It's not visually impressive, but it gets the job done. Another minor knock on this case is the thickness may cause it to not wirelessly charge on first contact with the charge pad. I'd say about 10% of the time I have to adjust my Note8 on the Samsung charging pad after initial placement.

I have purchased defender cases for all of my smartphones over the last several years. I've never had any issues and this one doesn't disappoint. It provides great protection for my very expensive Note 8. The glass screen protectors also fit nicely without being pushed off by the defender case.

Have used Otter boxes on my last 2 phones now and I am very happy with the brand. The only down side to them is they tend to be a bit on the pricey side but they honestly do turn an otherwise fragile piece of electronic equipment such as a cell phone into a tank. They really are quite shock resistant also, so it takes the cringe and holding of your breath out of a short drop on the floor but no longer does the "defender" series come with the screen protector like it once used to so you will need to buy that separately unfortunately . All in all it is a terrific product and I do highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beast of a cell phone case.

if you care about protecting your phone, this is worth the investment. i have dropped my phone several times and the case does its job. i have an otter box for my old phone and when i traded it in, the sales rep asked how long i had the phone because it looked brand new. it was 4 years old.

I read the reviews, especially the negative ones but I've seen the OtterBox phone cases before & had a good idea what I was getting. I am replacing a 3-4 year old phone case that was very non heavy duty and it died. I'm happy with my purchase today and I personally actually like the material and craftsmanship of the case/belt clip. I love the belt clip because it doubles as a kick stand, If I need my hands free, instead of attaching it to my belt, I attach it to hang on a lanyard around my neck (although it mostly goes in my pocket).

The case is really well made. It seems like it will last forever. My only complaint is that anything that I have to plug into the jacks at the bottom that is any wider than the ports themselves ends u requiring me to remove the case. I feel like the whole point of a case is that it stays on to protect the phone...if I have to take it off, it isn't really protecting, now is it?

Grabbed the note 8 during the black friday sale. I Instantly went to grab this case after it was decided. The case fits perfect with access to all ports. Even if I end up switching it up later on I always have an otterbox on deck for every phone I get. Great case, great brand.

I got this case on Black Friday 2017 for $29.99, I believe they normally go for about $44.99, so it was a pretty good deal. It fits the phone perfectly and looks great. I have dropped it once and it held up perfectly. If you have a Note 8 I highly recommend an Otterbox case.

I love this case! I was a little concerned when I initially purchased this case because unlike the case for the note 5 this one did not come with the screen protector but I haven't had any issues with it. It's much slimmer than the one for the note 5 so that's a plus.

I love Otter Box for the durability and drop protection that it give to the phone. I used the same type of case for a Note 4 and it truly withstood some great impacts. Just wish that this case came with the screen protector also. Had to buy a separate screen protector.

This is a very good case for the note 8 when you want to protect the edges and back side. But unlike other Otterbox cases this doesn't have the screen protection. When you pay $50+ for a case I'd expect a full enclosure. If it came with a tempered glass that would be ok but I feel like this case is only half there, but the half that is is really really great.

It is like having a tank around your phone! Dropping the phone doesn't matter with this case. A little difficult to remove at first, to use the gear vr, but easy once done a couple times! Can't beat Best Buy's 25% off accessories when you buy a phone from them also.

Fits great, price could be better only reason I give 4 is price.

If your going to spend hundreds of dollars on a cell phone, why would you not want to protect it with the best? The otter box defender series will do the job! I have all three of these and can interchange the colors if I want... and be completely protected!
