We're truly sorry to hear that the protection of your Defender series was compromised, and your Galaxy Note 8 suffered as a result. While we test our cases extensively to ensure that they provide the best device protection possible, unfortunately every drop falls prey to a number of different dynamics, some of which are beyond our control. In the end, we are unable to guarantee that absolutely all exposure to risk is eliminated through the use of our cases, especially if that case is damaged in any way.
Although our warranty does not extend to the Samsung device itself, we would very much like to send you a brand-new OtterBox since your current case has been jeopardized. Please feel welcome to call our friendly representatives at 1-855-688-7269, and they'll start up a warranty claim right away!

Ive dropped all my phones and nothing has every happen. But when I got this one for my Note 8. I was thinking the same thing. It will be protected. I was wrong. I dropped it and it cracked my screen. Not very viable but you can see it. They change the layout of this model and it didn't protect it.
