I’ve owned Otterbox Defenders for every phone I’ve ever owned, why should I change? I want the best protection and they are hands down superior to other cases. If you do not like bulky, this case isn’t for you, but I’m purchasing strictly to keep my phone safe. This case hasn’t changed much in looks, but from what I can tell, it’s made better than the older Defenders. Time will tell on how it lasts and wears. This is the first “Pro” I’ve owned, and it has more texture to the case than a regular Defender. I rather the Pro’s grip and feel, so for me, this one gets 5 stars.

Looks great, feels great, fits perfect, and solidly protected! I thought the Defender series was the best protection still allowing unrestricted function that was available, but now there is the the Defender series Pro screenless. Combining the Alpha Glass tempered glass screen protector and my phone is fortified, yet fully functional. The Defender series Pro outer cover feels great and provide awesome grip.

I've been using Otterbox cases since my iPhone 4S, and I absolutely ADORE them! They always keep my phones looking as if I had just bought them from the store years later. This case is no exception. Fits my iPhone XR like a glove, feels very sturdy and makes for a very comfortable and secure grip in my hands. I've never-and WILL never-complain about the extra added bulk the case does bring because that's what enables the case to protect your phone so competently even with multiple hard drops onto concrete (I've NEVER had a cracked screen thanks to Otterbox!). My ONE qualm, and the reason why I didn't give the item 5 stars, is that I am thoroughly perplexed as to why there is no built in screen protector on this model. That's one of the benefits of Otterbox Defender series cases-all in one protection including a screen protector. I read another review prior to purchase where Otterbox responded to the no screen protector feature by saying that they didn't feel that the phone would have been able to be properly protected by this case, due to the curved screen, if they added the usual built in screen protector. However, how were they able to add a built in screen protector for the Galaxy S7 Edge, which has a MUCH more curvier screen and body than the iPhone XR? That doesn't make any sense to me. Other than that, I love the case and the protection that it offers.

This case offers great protection for my iPhone. It is non-slip and completely encases my phone with the exception of the glass front; although the case surrounds the phone and creates a bumper around the face of the phone. The case fits my iPhone XR perfectly. It is a little bulky and makes the phone a bit heavy, but it's a trade off for the protection.

The Otterbox fits quite well and completely protects my iPhone. It’s very easy to install and gives a lot more traction when holding the iPhone in my hand. It might be a little more expensive than some other cases, but well worth the price for the extra protection!

I bought this case for my new iPhone XR and it is an excellent case for protection and comfortable grip of iphone. Only negative, cut the rubber piece off charger and silent button for easy access. Its bulky but its the best case I ever had for protection.

This case is great for protection! Its not like the old otterboxes where the silicon part was very rubbery texture. Its easy to grip and easy to use.

Otter box always been good for me love it so far very safe feels good to my hand was very easy to put onto my phone feel it makes my phone looks bigger I love the color and how easy it is to charge my phone and put my headphones in and out

It's a bit heavy, but it really protects the phone when dropped and it does not easily slip off your hand or other surfaces.

I havent dropped it yet as it is so easy to hold onto. Bulky yes, but necessary so screen doesnt crack.

I always seem to drop my phone and wanted the best protection because new iPhones are all glass. This case does that. Very protective and phone does not slip off surfaces. It’s a bit thicker than I’m used to and doesn’t fit in all pants pockets but I’ll live with that. Easy to find in my purse too. Sure, it’s not pretty or stylish but that’s ok.

I’ve always kept my iPhones in Otter Box cases and I’ve never had any problems. I tried the Commuter case first, which was a little less bulky, but the back of the case felt slick. It was difficult to use the phone with one hand without it feeling like it would slip and fall. The Defender case has more grip in the back and I’ve had no issues with it.

Otter Box Defender is the one to use to protect your phone. I have it clipped to my belt at work as maintenances mechanic and it is super secure. Have dropped my phone a few times and no damage done. The outside shell has a great rubberized grip that last longer than any other case.

It does the job that I need it to do. For protecting my new iPhone XR from me being clumsy. The rubber helps me hold it while the inner protection protects my phone from damage. Great buy if you are always dropping your phone!

I had the same Defender case on last phone for 6 years, never a worry. It may be a little bulky for some, but fits my grip and has a non-slip cover and suits my needs just fine. I was glad to find same cover for my XR.

Love my otter box cover. Feels good in you hand and doesn’t slip on smooth surface. Needed to get a screen protection as it didn’t have one. The clip can be used to cover the screen when you not using the phone. Or clip it on the back and you can stand up your phone but it wil cover up the rear camera.

This Otter Box is pretty and is very sturdy and protective of iPhone that is all glass. It’s easy to grip and not slippery but not bulky.

Love the Defender. Gives me a better grip on a slippery phone and if I do drop it, it is much better protected from breakage.
