Q: The answers say that there is no screen protector but the description says it has a built-in screen protector. What gives?

A: The Defender Series Pro version does NOT have a screen shield. Many users like myself prefer this as it is glass screen protector friendly. These are superior to the built in shields on the long-standing Defender version.

Q: Wanting to know if the OtterBox for a iPhone XR comes with a screen protector

A: Scotty, No screen protector on the Iphone XR Otterbox. I was disappointed by this but it seems to be hard to find any case that has such protection anymore. Personally I left the screen film on the phone that is placed there from the factory and put the case on over the top of it. This seems to be working for now but I'll be looking to put a real screen protector on at some point as a thin one should easily fit within the case.

Q: I am struggling to find a case for my iPhone XR that will protect against drops but I can also grip easily w/arthritic hands. Grippy and not too large as the XR phone itself is already large to hold. Thanks

A: I agree with you, the XR is quite a bit larger and more awkward to handle. I've always purchased the Otterbox Defender for the protection and also has holster clip. My suggestion would be any of the Otterbox cases that fit the XR. I recently suffered a broken wrist, impossible to use holster clip for quite awhile.

Q: PHOTO and DESCRIPTION are INCORRECT. There is no "screen protector" on this model. OtterBox no longer makes cases for the iPhone that have the plastic screen protector as part of the case.

A: The otter box for iPhone XR does not have integrated screen protection. You could buy a screen protector and add it.

Q: What is the difference in defender and defender pro

A: I have religiously used both on my iPhones. The only difference I can see is the rubber cover has lines for texture on the back and a non slip grip around the perimeter. Both changes, in my opinion, are great additions. If you havent already, buy one.

Q: Is the OtterBox also waterproof, I’m looking for something with good protection and is also a waterproof case so when I’m out on the water I shouldn’t be scared. Much appreciated if someone answers.

A: Not waterproof. No screen protector. Need life proof
