I went to best buy specifically because the online description of the case stated “built in screen protector safeguards against dust grime and scuffs”. Reading that made me think the screen protector, that goes over the screen, was built in just like every other defender case I have purchased. WRONG! THIS CASE COMES WITH NOTHING THAT GOES OVER THE SCREEN! I was pretty disappointed in otterbox’s decision to not make a case for the xr with screen protection.

OtterBox Defender Pro iPhoneXR NOT that great

The only thing was when I asked if I could see it the Employee that was standing outside on the Curb told me He was not allowed to let me touch it, I could only see it while He held it outside on the Curb. I thought sense I already had another OtterBox iPhone case that I purchased for my IPhone 7Plus that it had the plastic Film protective cover, but of course wouldn’t you you know it after I purchased it and used $45.00 of my Rewards I found out it did not. So that was a TOTAL disappointment. I really thought that this OtterBox Box was suppose to protect the Screen with its “OWN” Screen Cover built in to the Case. For the price I would think it included it, but then again when you can’t even be allowed to hold the package to read what It includes How are you to know. I was told by the Best Buy employee that this is for a iPhone XR and it is one of the Best and not a “Girl” Case. What ever that was suppose to mean. Anyway I am somewhat very disappointed because the Screen is still very exposed and that was the whole point of the case. I just purchased a replacement for this iPhone XR.

Thumbprint for home screen may not operate.

Our child showed me the thumbprint option to unlock the phone was reduced to about 20% effectiveness. I made a few efforts and was unable to make it work as well. Bummer because I love the brand.

The only issue is the screen cover so you will need to get one of those. Be careful, as they are not that easy to affix to your phone. This case is great, however, after purchasing it from Best Buy it was located at other places for much cheaper. Do your research and choose wisely.
