Basically the same size as Pursuit series case. The Defender has a slip cover over the entirety of the case, as opposed to just on the edges. I actually bought the Pursuit XS Max, and returned it for the Defender for one sole reason: the Pursuit case is too slippery. In their effort to make it thinner, the Pursuit is not entirely covered by the slip cover, and therefore is mostly just a shell casing. Slides right off my lap in the car, which is really fun when you’re driving. TL;DR: Defender over Pursuit series.

My last otterbox on my previous phone was run over by a full size truck and it kept my phone protected. The case didn’t even break, only treadmarks on the rubber case. I will only buy otterbox defender series.

These are the only cases I trust with my iPhones, of course for the price of one of those you’ve got to spend the money to protect it. I haven’t taken it off other than to clean it and with my line of work it may have been broken without a sturdy case.

This is the 2nd Defender Case I have owned. It has protected my phone during several drops. The only issue I had with the last one was the flap that covers the plug in slot broke off at the seam from use. Could still use the case and did not affect its effectiveness.

I love this OtterBox case, I bought it right after I got my new phone because it was on clearance. This case is exactly what I wanted, it has amazing features in terms of protection for your iPhone. This case is amazing and I recommend it to everyone.

I am clumsy and have dropped my phone dozens of times. No worries. I feel like I could toss it across the room with this thing on it. Beware it makes an already large phone feel like a small tablet. But that is why I got the max in the first place.

This case is very solid as I expected it to be. The only thing I don’t like about it is that it doesn’t cover the screen or the camera. You have to buy a separate screen cover for about 25 bucks. The camera lens is still exposed although it is recessed. For most people that use the belt clip this might be okay but due to my job, I need to keep mine in my pocket so it doesn’t get knocked off my belt. Dirt and lint may become a problem.

The Otter Box is the best case to help protect your phone. I've seen over case not able to keep up to how strong this case is for dropping and protecting the phone. I buy a new one every time I get a new phone.

I’ve always been satisfied with Otter Box products. If an accidental drop happens you can usually tell by the way the phone hits the ground that the case took most of the impact. A cracked screen or phone damage is almost impossible if you’re at least careful.

What can I say? $1,600.00 iPhone is not something I would want to bounce off the floor. However, accidents happen, and the Otterbox is going to protect my iPhone. I’ve used them for years, and the quality of the product and the protection offered are superb.

This is probably my 4th Otter Box purchase and they never disappoint. This version has removed the plastic cover over the front. I have always had to remove the plastic after a few months to gain access to the buttons, so this has been perfect for me.

We bought this because my granddaughter is two and has a tendency to throw the phone if she gets her hands on it. This case works!! She has done this a few times since we got the case, and so far it has proven effective in the throwing department!

I always drop my phone and when it’s more than 3 ft in the air it’s always in great shape after words. Bit on the bulk side so I would not recommend this case if you like to put your phone in your pocket. Otherwise it’s all around good.

I’ve been using otter box cases on my phones since my iPhone 4. I love that otter box got rid of the screen protector for the xs Max. Before I had to cut it out the screen protector. The old screen protector made it hard to see the screen in the sun.

I have had many cases over the years. This series of otter box is slightly bulky but it provides the best protection.

My wife is a nurse so she’s always running around and on the road. She has dropped this getting out of her car numerous times. She loves the color and the case. Especially when our kids get ahold of it and “accidentally “ throws it. Great protection.

I love the defender cases. My husbands line of work requires him to have better protection for his phone and since purchasing these for his iPhone we have not had any problems. Very durable and withstands a drop and a few bangs well made.

This is the best phone protector by far. I had many phones and multiple protectors but the OtterBox is my go to protector. You spend a lot of money on your hand held mini computer (phone), you should protect it. This is the way to go.

Good case, a little pricey, but that’s all otter boxes... doesn’t come with a screen protector like other defenders.

Just as the other otter box cases they are strong and sturdy. The phone will be protected from damage. The only thing to consider is that this case no longer comes with a plastic covering so one has to be bought separately. Scratch proof preferably
