I would recommend another case that does not have plastic inner shell as the last line of defense against drops.

I did find the pink/purple combination wasn’t exactly to my liking so I ended up buying a all black case and just swapped out the pink plastic for the black plastic and it looks great. But that’s just me.

If you have never owned a case like this, you need to know it comes apart to put the case on. There are no instructions. It's nice that there are covers for the silent switch on the side and the lightning port, but they're also a little annoying.

It's very curious about the packaging stating anything to the contrary because the Defender Pro Series wasn't actually engineered for use with Apple's MagSafe accessories. We'd love to have a look at that, so perhaps you'd be able to reach out with a photo over on otterbox.com.

Although an integrated plastic screen protector was a longstanding feature of our Defender Series, we actually moved away from that back in 2017 with the release of the iPhone X in response to consumer interest in either direct access to their device display or a preference for glass screen protectors.
