I have always liked the OtterBox phone protectors and have been using them since owning my first iPhone which was a 5 or a 6. I have never damaged my phone since using the OtterBox protectors and I work in a brutal environment for a cell phone. I’m a contract welder and work all over the United States, I’m from San Diego but have worked in California, Arizona, Florida and now in Virginia. My environment is dirty,many times hot and other times freezing. There metal dust from grinding steel to drop hazards. When you work repairing a navy ship and your phone falls, it’s not a soft landing, it’s going to land on hard steel and I have dropped my phone with the OtterBox from a height of 30 feet more than once and my iPhone 8 has survived without a defect. I’ve had this phone for 4 1/2 years. I’ve had it long enough that my battery had worn out but I had a new one installed because my phone worked fine. I normally replace my OtterBox every year because my job is so hard on a phone but the OtterBox gets worn out because of the abuse it gets on my job but my phone has never been damaged. Bought it for my boyfriend for Christmas for his new cell phone. He really likes it. He doesn't worry if he drops his cell phone now. Great grip too.

The OtterBox is a well-established company with really good products. The iPhone case that I have is working out so far so good. I haven’t been able to drop the phone a bunch since purchasing it but on the few occasions where it does fall out of my hands I worry a little bit less about the back or the front of the glass being shattered. Sometimes you have to spend good money to protect the products

I have gotten this case everytime I need a case and it is always the perfect case. It looks great and it protects the phone really well, even when I throw it across the room.

This case is durable and it protects your phone. He works as a water operator it fell in the body of water he dished it out and it still worked his phone worked.

oversized but the best protection for your phone at work

I bought this for my rambunctious teenage niece. She is accident-prone. I appreciate the Otterbox quality regarding shock resistance. The only thing I am worried about is dust and/or snow going in the opening near the front and rear cameras. It has a screen covering, unlike some of the Otterboxes where you order a separate screen protector.

What I think about this product is it perfect! The price was good and the product is amazing!

Easy to put on and looks great. I followed the directions on you tube, which helped a lot, since it was my first smart phone. The Otterbox you tube channel has all the instructions. The written instructions have tiny letters and aren't as complete.

My sone didn’t take the box off since we got the case and drops once and the back of his phone cracked and no one will fixit at there experience.

As I state in the headline, this Otter-Box Defender is Extra-strength protection for your iPhone. It isn't easy to install, and parts of the the cover that block the ringer button and the charger adapter are annoying (I wonder about the long-term durability of the screen protector on it--but for all protection, is seem strong. It has good grip, which is very helpful. It's bulky, but designed that way to protect the phone.

I have used this type of case for over six years and Have never had a problem with its design or quality, This new case is improved with increased grip-ability. I have dropped my phone protected by this case many times and never had an an issue. I recently upgraded to a new phone. When I removed the old phone after being in that case for 6 years it looked brand new.
