I dropped my iPhone a week later and all the back of the phone was broken. Never happened with non of my cheap cases before. This cases supposed to be the best protectors.

They have yet to attempt redelivery or issue a refund. The value and quality remain unknown, but it has proved impossible to use under current conditions. I can’t speak to the product, but I would not recommend Best Buy.

Bought this $70 case that no longer comes with a holster as Otterbox wants you to order a "free" holster and pay $10 worth of taxes and shipping fees. Went to order the holster and it was out of stock for a month. Put the phone in the holster and it fell right out so I called customer support. They told me there was a design error and they would send me one from the batch with the the new design. Received the new one and it is slightly better, but still falls out easily. Called their customer service again and their current solution is "Using the holster with the screen facing outwards seems to work". Yeah, so I crack my screen if I bump into anything? Fat chance. So now I'm out $80 as due to waiting on the holster I am past the return period and will now need to find a case from a different company that will work.

Otter box won’t allow phone to work

I had geek squad install it so that eliminates me from improper installation! I need to bring back but dont have the box so I guess I’m out the money!

No defender series imo!!! Read All!!

When ordering online I couldn’t tell or even think this had hard shell on it. Being a defender series had hard shell on the outside. Grip is crap. This is a mix of a Pursuit case and a Commuter case. I get it’s mag but this shouldn’t be in the defender series. It should be in a new series, cuz on the inside there is no padding on the back! The commuter actually has better protection imo! How you insert the phone is the same as the pursuit. With plastic straight on the back of the phone for one, plastic is right up against the back of the iPhone, and 2nd is less protective. Idk how anyone would give this five stars. If it said it had a hard shell in any description I wouldn’t have bought it. I mean it’s personal preference but idk why anyone would want a hard shell. I couldn’t even set this on the arm of my couch without sliding off. Oh last thing hard shell scuffed in less than 24 hours.

Posted .There's definitely a difference between the outermost layer of this Defender Series Pro XT case and the standard version in order to accommodate the use of Apple's MagSafe technology. We do still make the original Defender Series case as well, it just doesn't have any magnetic properties to help facilitate a "locking" connection with MagSafe-enabled devices and accessories. So that's kinda the trade-off between the use of MagSafe or having a bit more grip.

I used defender series for years and never cracked phone no matter how many times i dropped it. Also, the magnet is not as strong as you would hope for.

Although we definitely did put the design through our rigorous Drop+ Protection program to ensure it would be up to the challenge, the outer synthetic rubber slipcover of the standard version of the case wasn't going to accommodate Apple's MagSafe technology so there definitely are some material differences.

NOT WORTH OVER $70, WISH I COULD EXCHANGE IT.

I initially liked the color combination of blue and green that was why I bought it. There is very minimum grip on the sides and the rest is all slippery plastic all around. The grip sides gets discolored easily and its very hard to wipe or wash off any discoloration from normal everyday dirt. WISH I COULD TAKE IT BACK AND GET A DIFFERENT OTTERBOX. NOT WORTH OVER $70 PERIOD. I REGRET BUYING IT.
