I ended up returning the ring. The ring was too bulky. I had it on my ring finger and it was bruising my middle finger. I liked how’s it could monitor my heart rate and sleep etc. just was not happy with how it fit.

I liked the look of it but make sure to size it correctly bc at night it was not my favorite thing to wear.

It takes 30+ days of calibration to even see metrics in the app. However Best Buy’s return policy is 15 days. Honestly, just get an Apple Watch.

Readings were not consistent, it would skip days at a time. It also picked up my hand movements and recorded them as steps.

BEWARE, Best Buy has a much shorter return policy than ouraring.com (2 weeks compared to a month). Highly suggest not buying from them, plus it’s much harder to get support. I fully regret buying from them

Don't buy the ring is useless without a subscription. Paid so much to not be able to use any feature without paying. My smartwatch does more for free. Now its basically a 500.00 brick. Never even got the ceramic cleaning cloth for it. Worse product ever and will never recommend to anyone.

Pro: -More comfortable than previous gen -Accurate sleep tracking -Week long battery life Con: -Almost useless without subscription -The thickness can get in the way The Oura 4 Ceramic gives a different look to the ring compared to the metal ones. It has a deep shine like it has two layers of glossiness, looking very much like a new coffee cup. While I do like the look, being ceramic, I’m concerned about its finish long term since they tend to dull over time. On the inside are sensors, increased from the previous generation. The sensors no longer protrude making it more comfortable to wear. The ring is still thicker than a typical ring and it can definitely get in the way. I wear it mostly on my middle finger and it presses into the other fingers. It can also get snagged on my pockets or hit against surfaces. The tracking is mostly accurate from what I’ve seen. It tracks activity, sleep, and body signals which it uses to present them as Readiness, Activity, and Sleep scores. The sleep tracking is very accurate and shows exactly when I wake up and the total time I’m actually asleep. The activity tracking can seem off at times. Sometimes I feel like I’m moving around more than what is tracked and other times it seems to track more than what I’m actually doing. For instance, I was just walking around the house not doing that much and it wanted to log it as an activity for over an hour. What is shown on the app’s main page can seem like it’s too simplified in some areas. On the main page, it displays your activity goal, scores, and timeline for the day. You have to go deeper in the pages to see more information. Something like steps or calorie burned should probably be on the main page. However, once you do open up each tab, there’s a lot of information and graphs giving a more detailed breakdown of the scores. Being able to see all the details can help motivate you to improve your habits. The big negative is that it requires a subscription for the tracking, and without one, it’s practically useless. Without one, it will only give you the three main scores without any other information. If you don’t want to pay a subscription, then this is not for you. The battery life lasts about a week, maybe a little less. On day six, it was down to about 25%. It also charges very quickly, maybe about 30 minutes to full charge. Whether this is worth it or not depends on the user. If you don’t like having a thick ring on all the time, or if you need tracking without the subscription, then there are other devices. If you want something smaller and more discrete then it may fit your needs. It may take some getting used to having a ring this size on all the time. From what I’ve seen so far, sleep and vital tracking are accurate, but activity doesn’t seem to be as much.

The ring came adequately charged for setup and a day or so of wear. Design: The fit of the size 11 Oura Ring 4 Ceramic was well represented by the sizing kit based on the inside diameter. The outside diameter of the size 11 ceramic ring is about one millimeter larger than the size 11 ring in the sizing kit. The small indentation on the ring facilitates proper placement of the sensors toward the palm side of the hand. Small slots on the interior of the ring match keys on the charging base to ensure proper charging. According to Oura, the ring is designed to be water-resistant to a depth of 100 meters (328 feet) and has an operating temperature range of 14 to 125°F. I have not tested the limits of either. The polished zirconia ceramic exterior is wear- and scratch-resistant. After setting up an account, Oura provided a burnishing cloth to buff out scratches should they occur. Aesthetic: The Midnight ceramic exterior is a dark metallic color with a reflective surface. It looks more metallic than blue (a good thing in my opinion). Function: The Oura Ring 4 measures blood oxygen levels, heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, and movement. The algorithms in the app combine these measurements to assess “readiness”, sleep quality, activity, and stress. Some of these metrics require establishment of a personalized baseline that can take a couple weeks to establish. Batter: The charge on my Oura Ring 4 Ceramic lasts about a week. At the point when the app alerts me that the battery is low, charging takes less than an hour. App: The Oura App has a slick user interface and is easy to navigate. Custom activities can be added to better correspond to your favorites.
