|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you take your health and fitness seriously an Oura Ring is the perfect companion. It seems not a day goes by now that I don't see someone else wearing their Oura Ring. I think the first thing to realize is that the Oura ring and app are more of a lifestyle coach rather than a sports/fitness gadget. Yes, it has all the sensors for body temperature, pulse ox and heart beat and it also measures your activity and sleep but it presents the data to you such that you can improve and be your best self. This Oura Ring 4 Ceramic is an upgrade from a Gen3 Horizon. Setting up the ring for the first time is easy. Install the app, set the ring on the charger which puts it in pairing mode and connect it to the app. Fill out your profile and focus and you’re off. Switching rings works the same way, add the new one and the old ring is removed from the account. Gen 4 rings adds enhanced sensors, better battery life and an easier fit as the sensor bumps are not as pronounced as previous generations. But the real magic happens with the app. The app is categorized into three main areas, Readiness, Sleep and Activity with a home screen that shows a quick summary of everything. Each area is shown as a tab or card that collects relevant data and gives a score out of 100. . It also has guided meditations and advice to better your life. The Readiness card shows how prepared you should be for the day ahead. The Sleep card shows how well you slept which is my favorite tab, getting to see the different stages of sleep you go through. The Activity tab rates you based on your fitness goals and success. There is also an Explore tab where you can access the catalog of life lessons, motivational videos, guided meditations and sleep stories. The media is useful but I find it somewhat limited but it is growing. Even though you can get some readings at the moment, I feel the Oura Ring is better suited as a recording device that you look back on rather than follow live. Oura pairs with my Apple Fitness and Strava keeping all my data and readings in one location. As far as the ring itself, the ceramic outer shell is shiny and the midnight blue almost comes off as black depending on the lighting. The fit is more comfortable than the generation 3 due to the reduction of the sensor bumps. Like previous generations, the ceramic stands out so people will still know by sight that you care about your health. The battery life is rated for seven days and unlike my previous ring, it actually gets it. I charge mine every four days, not because it needs it but because I charge it at the same time as I charge my watch. Overall I really like my Oura Ring and recommend it to anyone who wants a stylish way to monitor their health goals.

Better than the rest, but not perfect
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In terms of the star rating, this review started at four stars. After some adjustments, it goes up to four and a half—but since we can’t do half stars, I’ll still round it down to four. With that out of the way, here we go! When it comes to fitness trackers, I have tried many: Fitbit, Withings, Whoop, Google trackers, Samsung watches, Mio, Fuse, etc. While they all boast cutting-edge features, the experience often falls short for someone who takes physical activity seriously. Most of the fitness trackers I’ve used in the past are geared more toward people starting their fitness journey or those who treat it as a chore rather than a lifestyle. Not to say there’s anything wrong with that, but if you’re serious about fitness, you often lose interest after your tracker requires more information and input than it provides on its own. This is my first Oura Ring, and after using it for a bit, I rank it above the other trackers I’ve used. The tools it provides are genuinely useful and beneficial for getting the most out of an active lifestyle. While there are some shortcomings (which I’ll touch on later), it’s truly been one of the better experiences I’ve had with a fitness tracker. To make things easy, I’ll go over the good and bad in bullet points below. --- Aesthetics and Durability One of the issues that kept me away from past fitness rings was their finish and tendency to scratch easily. I am not gentle with my devices—when I own them, I use them to the fullest extent and don’t take much time to be delicate. Oura claims that the ceramic ring is much more durable than its metal counterpart, and thus far, that has proven true. Any marks that have appeared have easily buffed out, and I’m feeling more confident just wearing it around. I may still add a silicone cover, but I don’t worry much about it being destroyed without one. That’s a plus. In terms of aesthetics, the Midnight Blue color looks really, really cool. The glossy finish is eye-catching, and it doesn’t look out of place when worn as a ring. --- Activity Tracking This is one of those categories where the rating started low but went up slightly over time. When you first start wearing the ring, it lets you know that it needs some time to calibrate to your activities and lifestyle. At first, the ring did a terrible job tracking my activities. I’m very active—working out six to seven days a week with different intervals—so logging everything can become tedious. But I must admit, after using it for several days, the activity tracking has improved vastly. I recently tested it to see if it would log a run, and it did so right away, recording distance, speed, and estimated calories burned. In these instances, it’s very impressive. Where it’s still lacking is strength training. With all the sensors and metrics this ring can capture and display, it’s baffling that strength training isn’t recognized or prioritized. Many trackers are built primarily for cardiovascular activities, but in today’s world, we know strength training is equally important for building muscle and bone density. Having fitness trackers still overlook that is a missed opportunity. To be fair, no tracker currently does a great job of accurately logging strength training. I understand that with wrist trackers, grip and movement can interfere with heart rate readings, but with a ring, I’d hope for more progress. Since strength training is a big part of my weekly routine, this remains a sore spot. --- Comfort Now here’s a category where the ring shines. I have sensitive skin, and with all my previous wrist trackers—no matter what band I used—there was always some kind of irritation, either from the sensors or the band itself. Even after washing thoroughly, changing bands, or switching wrists, the issue persisted. Because the Oura Ring’s sensors are recessed, I’ve had no skin irritation. The ring itself is very comfortable and doesn’t get in the way of any daily activities. I only remove it during heavy deadlifts or presses—not for comfort’s sake, but to avoid crushing it under weight. Otherwise, it stays on comfortably all day. A note about sizing: when I received the sizing kit, size 11 was too small and got stuck on my finger, size 12 was just right, and size 13 was slightly large. Oura suggests going with the smaller size if you’re between two, so I chose 12. Now that I have the ring, I think maybe I should’ve gone with 11. There’s a noticeable difference between the plastic sizing rings and the actual ring when it comes to liquids (soap, water, etc.)—the real ring slides off more easily. Just something to keep in mind: go for a snug fit. --- The App and Overall Experience This is the bread and butter—and I’ll admit, it’s quite robust. The more I explored, the more value I found. One standout feature is the meal tracker. It works by taking a picture of your meal and breaking down several factors: processed foods, carbs, fats, proteins, etc. At first, not seeing actual calorie numbers was off-putting, but I came to appreciate it. It focuses on nutrient quality and how your meals affect recovery and well-being, rather than just calories. This helps you make better choices overall. Oura also includes an AI advisor that guides you toward healthier habits—something that would typically cost much more if purchased separately. Combined with the readiness and sleep scores, the app does a great job of helping you understand how rest and recovery affect performance. I also like that they’re expanding the health profile to include glucose management (through an add-on product) and lab-based blood work. While these come at an extra cost, they could be worthwhile for a complete health picture. Now for the downside: integration. My favorite heart rate monitor is MyZone, but it isn’t compatible with the Oura app. This is partly due to Google’s new Health Connect restrictions, so I can’t blame Oura entirely—but I still wish it were more open to other data sources. Initially, I questioned whether the subscription was worth it, but with features like the AI advisor, meal logging, and personalized insights, I can see the value. --- Big Negative These rings are pricey, and I noticed that the Android version does not have a “Find My Ring” feature, even though it exists on iOS. That’s astonishing. This is a major oversight because my ring once slipped off, and I only found it because my phone could connect to it—but it couldn’t give me a location. Only after reading the fine print did I realize that feature isn’t available on Android. That needs to be fixed ASAP. --- Final Thoughts After a few days of use, my opinion has changed significantly. At first, I wasn’t sure I’d recommend it to serious athletes or anyone deep into fitness—but as the days have gone by and the ring has adapted to my lifestyle, I have to say yes, I would recommend it. I’d also recommend it to anyone starting their health journey or just looking to improve their well-being. Oura has built something accessible for everyone. My biggest gripe remains the lack of attention to strength training—but until someone figures that out, I’ll just log it manually. All in all, I contend that this is the best fitness tracker I’ve used in terms of metrics, usability, and app features. For the most part, it truly lives up to the hype.

My favorite health tracker!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Oura ring is quite impressive. I’ve used watches and bands before but I really think this is the way to go. I was skeptical at first but I absolutely love it. Build quality is amazing. I lift weights 5 days a week and I haven’t had any issues with scratches on the ceramic or anything yet. I mainly use machines at the gym that typically have plastic, rubber or foam handles so that may be why. I’m a little nervous to put it up against a steel/metal dumbbell or barbell. That being said, I think if you use gloves, you won’t have to worry about it. I also was able to get a polishing cloth sent by Oura for free but I haven’t had to use it yet. Setup was quick and easy and the app is very intuitive and easy to use. I enjoy using it. It’s a little overwhelming with all the different tabs, features, and options but once you go through it a couple of times it’s easy to get the hang of. Honestly, I don’t think I’ve discovered everything it has to offer because each time I go through the app, I learn something new. It is very comfortable. I don’t like to wear anything. Not watches, not rings, bands or anything. I just find it more comfortable to wear nothing but this ring is surprisingly comfortable. They say it’s a little thicker than the metal Oura rings but you get used to it. Or at least I did. It doesn’t bother me at all to wear it all day and night. I really wanted it to keep track of my sleep so I was a bit worried about comfort and wearing it at night but I’ve been wearing it for over a week and have no complaints on comfort at all. I wear a smart watch as well and I can tell the statistics of the ring appear to be very accurate. Especially the sleep metrics. I know when I have a bad nights sleep and every time, the Oura ring has been spot on letting me know I had a bad nights sleep and why. It’s also very accurate when I’ve had a good nights sleep. Activity, workouts, everything. The health metrics appear to be very accurate. Battery life is great. I will typically charge it when I take a shower or need to take it off to do something and don’t want to get it dirty or scratch it. It charges very fast. I’ve been able to wear it pretty much all day everyday with no battery issues by using this routine. Overall I feel like this is a great investment if you are wanting to track your health metrics and do it comfortably. I like the ring for this because it’s a no distraction, almost invisible way to track your health. It’s the only purpose. I don’t get texts or email alerts with it. It’s sole purpose is to track your health. I highly recommend it!

Stylish and feature packed
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Oura has made the sizing, setup and use of their latest ring effortless. The sizing kit makes identifying your perfect fit easy. You notice the quality and beauty of this device right of the box. All you need to do initially is set the ring on the charge stand. There is a small indent on the bottom of the ring that assist with orienting correctly and it will go one way for the sensors to connect to the charge port. The Oura app can be installed on your phone while it is charging. The app instantly identifies and connects to the ring as long as you have Bluetooth enabled. You will be prompted to setup your profile and the AI assistant will ask questions to identify your health and fitness goals. The AI assistance does a great job of responding and answering any questions you may have about use of your device. Charging is super quick and only takes between 20 to 40 minutes. You really start to appreciate the beauty when you start wearing. The Midnight Blue ceramic is very unique and has a deep blue glossy appearance. The Titanium inner band is super comfortable, and the sensors are not noticeable at all. The indent on the ring helps you to effortlessly orient the sensors for the best tracking. You will forget the wealth of data the ring is collecting with how comfortable and stylish the ring looks and feels. Tracking of your body temperature, heartrate, steps, activity and sleep are very accurate. You receive a detailed daily summary and suggestions on goals for the current day. You step count goal adjusts based upon your readiness and how well rested you are and recent activity. You can manually add events to your timeline, but it automatically tracks all key metabolic events. It can sync to Apple Fitness, Samsung Fitness or Strava for automatic connecting to activity on these apps as well. I like I can leave my phone at home when going on walks / jogs and the ring stores my data and imports the details activity data (distance, map routes, etc.) directly from fitness watch / phone. There is a 30-day subscription included, and you will need to subscribe for $5.99 per month to get all the benefits of the AI assistant. I believe this is a great value for all the data and insights that are provided to interpret the data. If you are looking to effortlessly track your health and activity data, the Oura ring is great option. The Ring 4 Ceramic will also get you an appealing fashion accessory that you will enjoy wearing on a daily basis. I have no problem wearing 24 / 7 and was able to get a full week on a charge. I would have been able to go even longer, but Oura recommends charging around 30% for better battery life. I highly recommend and you if know someone that currently has a ring, that can send you a referral and get an extra 10% of the already value price.

Bioinformatics in a bite-sized package
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm impressed! I enjoy the information wearable technology can provide - heart rate, step-count, calorie-burning mostly - but dislike how bulky smart watches are and how the bands can cause friction rashes depending on the material. Enter: the Oura Ring. A smart, stylish little wearable accessory that I wear and forget. I honestly don't notice I'm wearing it most of the time. Sizing kit is definitely essential (the ring sizes are unique to oura ring so don't think the size of like, your wedding ring will do). I really like how this tracks your sleep patterns at night, your stress levels, menstrual cycle for ladies etc... just generally useful. Most complaints I hear are about the battery longevity, though I haven't noticed an issue yet (about 2 months into purchase). I do think the ceramic can look a little 'cheap' looking, but that's my fault for buying this specific color in store. Next time I think I'll go for a metal finish.

Well presented information
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first Oura ring, but used different smartwatches, and the ring has several benefits. The ring itself, mine in Midnight ceramic, is perfectly polished and with a blue hue. Almost black, slightly blue. It's a great color. The ring is a bit thick so it's taking me a while to get used to it. It also feels slightly loose because it has to fit through my thick knuckles. I spent a few days using the sizing kit before I ordered mine. The sizing kit is a great way to make sure to order the correct size and experience the feeling of wearing the ring. The charge lasts about a week, and the bigger the ring, the slightly larger the battery, or so it seems. It comes with an aluminum ring holder/charger that charges it fast, using an USB-C phone charger (not included). The ring doesn't vibrate nor generates any notifications, so it's not a replacement for a smart watch in that sense, but it collects some of the same information and more. Actual sensors include an accelerometer, temperature sensor and light sensors. The temperature sensor is not found on smartwatches and this is very important in context with other measures. For me the main point is that I can wear this to sleep and it's unobtrusive. It gave me a lot of information on sleep patterns that I didn't know for sure and needed to find out. It can determine the quality of sleep, including REM, light and deep sleep., duration and when each stage occurs, if there are any disturbances. During the day it can correlate stress levels. This information is very important and presented in a meaningful way that I have not seen anywhere else. The reason I got this ring is the quality of information it can infer and that I could not get with a smartwatch. The application is very polished and unobtrusive. While many smartwatches show mostly raw data, Oura provides more context. As my main objective was to track sleep, after the first week of use I have a better understanding of the phases in the sleep cycle, quality and quantity of sleep and what can I do with that information. Overall, it's a great complement if not a replacement for a smart watch. It can track physical activity as well as a watch but more consistently as I don't need to remove it, even while sleeping. Only downside is getting used to wearing a thicker ring.

Amazing Purchase
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best purchase I’ve made in my opinion. Technology is amazing fit is perfect. One thing I do wish could’ve been better would be the scratch resistance, they may be subtly noticeable only if you put a lot of focus but still looks amazing from a far. Overall best purchase even the scratches on it the style and color is amazing.

Life-changing gift.. ended up buying one for mysel
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally bought the Oura Ring 4 as a Christmas gift for my other half, and she absolutely loved it. She was so excited about the insights and how easy it was to use that she ended up dragging me back to Best Buy to get one for myself too and I’m honestly glad she did. Using Oura together has been a great motivator for both of us. We check in on our sleep, recovery, and activity and help keep each other accountable in a positive way. For me personally, it’s been an amazing tool for focusing on my health and self-care. The sleep tracking is incredibly detailed, the readiness score actually makes sense, and I love being able to see how stress, rest, and daily habits affect my body. It’s comfortable enough to wear 24/7, looks great, and doesn’t feel intrusive like other wearables I’ve tried. If you’re looking for something that genuinely helps you be more mindful of your health or a thoughtful gift that might turn into something you both use.. I can’t recommend the Oura Ring 4 enough.

Stylish and Comfortable Smart Ring
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been interested in Oura health and fitness rings for a while. So when I had the chance to test their newest ring, I was elated! I was particularly wanting to monitor my sleep patterns, heart rate, while also using the device to help manage my stress. The ring itself is beautiful. It’s really comfortable to wear, all day and night. I only take it off to wash my hands, do the dishes or shower, and it is then that I put it on its lovely little charger. Though I do have a ‘smart watch’, I choose to give my wrist a break from continually wearing it during the night. Now I am able to wear this ring to track my sleep, breathing, and heart rates with the Oura instead. In addition, you can connect the ring to other health and fitness apps, as well as, the Oura app itself. The Oura app is well organized and easy to navigate. It seems to update my information regularly, without any “glitchy” delays I’ve experienced with some other health/fitness apps. At a glance you can check your Vitals - Readiness score, Sleep breakdown, Activity Goals progress, Daytime Heart Rate monitoring, and Daytime Stress levels. You can even add an activity, record a workout heart rate, and log a meal in your Timeline section. There are also helpful research study articles you can read to educate yourself concerning the areas you want to focus on using your Oura ring. Once you’ve worn your Oura every day for a week, the ring will be able to Calibrate more about your health and fitness patterns. Every morning I’m actually excited to review my previous night’s sleep record, including my blood oxygen levels. I still need to get into a regular habit of recording my meals, but that will come with time. I’ve done this before, using a different health app, so it’s just a matter of adding that to my daily routine. A particular feature I’m fascinated to learn more about, and potentially participate in, is Oura Labs. I’m quite looking forward to being notified when a new experimental feature will become available for me to try out and evaluate. While the Oura Ring 4 is somewhat expensive, if you are considering purchasing one, think of this device as more than just a ‘fitness ring,’ but rather as a long-term investment to better assist you with improving your overall health. In addition, the $5.99/month or $69.99/annual cost of the Oura Membership is more than fair.

Bulky, compact tech (and good data w/subscription)
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was curious about the Oura ring and had the opportunity to test the ceramic version. I selected the midnight color. I wish that I’d selected cloud instead of midnight. With the shine of the ceramic, the blue isn’t as deep as I’d hoped, but it’s not bright, so it’s a dark blue still. The ring is a bit bulky to me, but generally is comfortable. I have sensitive skin and it hasn’t bothered my skin, even wearing it pretty much 24/7 for a week, in the shower, to sleep, etc. I like that the ring is simple to wear for sleep tracking. It’s then easy to keep it on so that I don’t have to slip on my watch and get my watchband sweaty for my morning workout to be able to track my calories burned. The app has shown when it thinks I’ve worked out (I have elliptical marked as an activity that I usually do), and allowed me to edit it if I needed to before confirming the activity (once I did need to edit it, as it had my workout 20 minutes too long). It even recognized my yard work as yard work. One of the reasons I was curious about a ring as a tracker was for this, as I don’t wear my smart watch to do yard work or other sweaty outdoorsy stuff, and I’ve been curious about how many calories I burn. The data I get on sleep includes the different stages of sleep as well as awake time, and the ring was pretty good at recognizing my bedtimes and wake up. I liked that I could see when I was restless and had oxygen drops, and that it gives you a notice about issues. It tells you (note: you must have the subscription) total sleep, efficiency, resting heart rate, restfulness, latency, and the time in each stage of sleep. While you get your average oxygen saturation, I wish that it would show more detail and match up my oxygen levels to when it said I had variations, so I could see what kind of drop I had, and what my other stats were at the time. While Oura gives some good stats (if you pay for the subscription), and is convenient to wear, for the $500 price I would have to see the data details be included without having to pay a monthly subscription before I’d recommend it with a $500 price tag. To get much good out of the ring you have to purchase a $70/year subscription ($72/year if you do it monthly instead of annually). The three scores without the subscription don’t mean much, in my opinion. If I can’t see my data, I don’t see the purpose of having the ring. If it still sent my calories burned and workout heart rate to my Health app without a subscription, that would be a boon. Even using it just one year, a $500 ring becomes a $570 ring. I’d say wait for a big sale, or go for the non-ceramic, if you’re interested in the convenience a ring gives you, or if you don’t wear a smart watch (or wear one very often) and want to track your fitness and sleep throughout the day and night. The high cost caused me to knock off a star. The ring does a good job tracking and reporting, but you need the subscription to get that info, so keep that in mind.

Best for Health Insights than for Exercise Fitness
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ceramic coating on the Oura Ring makes it look and feel more like jewelry than an electronic monitoring device. I have worn my Oura Ring for about a week now and I have gotten mixed results with it especially when it comes to being able to interpret my exercise results in the mobile app. When monitoring daily activities like walking and doing simple task or sleeping it seems to be reasonably accurate but with cardio/aerobic workouts I find it less informative. I feel the ring is more of a data gathering device that over time provides insight into your overall health. It doesn’t provide real time data during an activity and I don’t feel that it provides enough post exercise information that can be used to improve fitness. The Oura app can be overwhelming and the yearly subscription cost may make it a big negative for some. Bottom line is I would recommend the Oura ring for someone who is more interested in their overall health status. I would not recommend it for someone who is mainly concerned about their exercise fitness. Sleeping: So far I think the ring has been fairly accurate when it comes to monitoring my sleep data. I had one night where the ring was nearly 2 hours late starting my sleep cycle and I assume that was because the ring rotated off center and thus didn’t record the information properly. Because of this I have become more vigilante on the ring’s alignment and this not necessarily a good thing. On the plus side it hasn’t confused my inactivity while reading at night as going to sleep and it has captured my afternoon naps accurately when I take one longer than 15 minutes. Exercise: I wear the ring everywhere I go including the gym and so far no scratches or mars to the finish. When I go to the gym I don’t take my phone with me, I rely on my iwatch and this can be an issue. If my activities are not recognized by the ring I have to add them manually in the app when I get home and doing this can definitely impact the accuracy of the workout data. The ring does not recognize my indoor bike training and while it does captures the heart rate data it seems to be lower/less responsive than the levels my other devices report. I have about a 50/50 chance of the ring recognizing the elliptical workouts but no luck at all having it recognize strength training workouts. What is funny is that it has recognized me doing “housework” and yardwork activities due to an elevated heart rate and motion. Fit and Feel: The ring is thick and has some weight to it. The recommendation is to wear it on one of your first three fingers but I found wearing it on my index finger like they show in the ads to be more problematic because I lead with my index finger area when reaching which means it hits more things. I highly recommend getting the ring sizing kit and wear the sizing ring for a couple of days to figure out which finger fits best and wont impede your hand motions. The ceramic coating feels very smooth and really shines but I do worry about dinging it on something. So far I have worn it to do housework, yard work, at the gym and on the bike all without any scratches. I’ve had it in soap and water as well as covered in hand sanitizer without any issues. There is a small notch/indent on the ring that should face your palm for proper alignment. In the dark this can be more difficult to verify especially if you are in bed. My ring fits reasonably tight but due to the smooth surface it does rotate so I find myself checking it often. Overall the fit and feel of this ring is good and not an issue. Oura App: The Oura app has four primary health categories: Readiness, Sleep, Activity and Heart Rate. It then uses the data from the ring to assign a number value and a little icon to indicate what it believes your health value for that category is. Oura explains what data contributes to the calculation without disclosing the algorithm. If you want to get more specific information on the category or its contributors you have to go into the subcategory pages. Bottom line is that this app has lots of graphs and subcategories that at times make it more difficult to get to the actual information that I as a user want to see. Maybe it’s just me but I don’t find the app very intuitive and it is inundate with so many subcategories that it becomes difficult to figure out where the really important information is located. Hopefully with time I will be able to figure out the app but so far it’s been a frustration.

Comfortable and informative. stylish!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a fantastic product! I’ve worn it for about a week now and it’s given me fantastic insight into a variety of my health concerns including sleep quality and stress levels. Setup was super easy and charging takes a few minutes for 4-5 days worth of data collecting. The ring is insanely comfortable, and I’ve had several compliments on its look even in the first week of ownership. I was concerned about a ceramic ring’s durability, but that concern was not needed. This is built like a tank and hasn’t shown a single scratch despite banging into doorknobs, doing dishes, or even yardwork. Comparing its data to that collected by my Apple Watch over the same time period, the two are roughly within 5% of each other, so I’m reassured about the accuracy of the readings, and this lets me keep my watch recharging at night without fear of losing crucial health data. Setting up the ring and the app was super simple. It pairs in seconds and the rest is just typical sign-up info like any other new account. Easy for anyone of any age to set up and start their journey to a healthier lifestyle. Strongly recommend!!!!!!

Loving This Midnight Color on the Ceramic Oura
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded to the ceramic mostly for looks. Yes it's less prone to scratches, but honestly, my brushed silver didn't have many noticeable scratches in the year plus I wore it. Is it worth the extra hundred, likely not, but I do love the Midnight color so I splurged. As far as battery life, it's comparable to my previous Oura Gen4. I feel like it's holding it's charge somewhat longer then the old ring did when new, but it's hard to remember. Unfortunately, my old ring was no longer consistently syncing, about every other day, and was three months past it's one year warranty, so I had to buy new. I just don't know enough about the other brands to not go with Oura again. Hopefully this one outlasts the first. As far as performance; this ring is fantastic at tracking sleep and that is primarily what I use it for. It also does a good job tracking steps, activity, and for women, your cycle and even your menopause journey if you choose. To me it's worth the $6.49 subscription but everyone has to choose for themselves on that!

||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been using my Oura Ring for a while now and I honestly love it. The sleep tracking is super accurate and has helped me understand my habits so much better. I also like being able to track my stress, readiness, activity, and heart rate all in one place without wearing a bulky watch. The ring is comfortable, stylish, and battery life lasts several days. The app is easy to use and gives really helpful insights that motivate me to take better care of myself. Definitely worth it if you’re trying to improve your health and daily routine.

Stylish Health Tracker I Wear Every Day
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.absolutely love my Oura Ring 4 Ceramic — it’s quickly become my go‑to wearable. The ceramic finish looks incredibly sleek and feels premium, so it doesn’t look like a gadget but like fine jewelry. The comfort is excellent, and after a short break‑in period I barely notice it on my finger all day. What really stands out is how accurate and insightful the health tracking is. It monitors sleep, activity, readiness, stress, heart rate, and more without needing a bulky smartwatch, and the battery life lasting several days means I’m not constantly charging it. The Size Before You Buy kit was extremely helpful to ensure the perfect fit, which makes a big difference in comfort and sensor accuracy. Overall, this ring combines great style with powerful health insights — worth it for anyone serious about tracking wellness without sacrificing aesthetics.

Put Your Health in Your Own Hands…Literally
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ceramic Oura Ring 4 is an excellent and conspicuous companion to keep track of your health and fitness. I have several fitness watches, which are indeed helpful in fitness, but not so much in health and particularly present a huge drawback in sleep. One of my main desires has been to track my sleep and the Oura ring has been outstanding in this. With watches, I wake up in the middle of the night with a strangled wrist only to take them off, but with the Oura, I forget I’m even wearing it. Not only that, but the biometrics it tracks and how it compiles them gives me insights that are extremely helpful in guiding me to make productive changes. *What’s included?* Along with the Oura ring comes a sized ring charger and USB-C to USB-C cable. Oura also offers to mail a free buffer to get rid of scuffs. *Quality of Product* This Oura ring is made of zirconia ceramic, making it so lightweight I now forget it’s even there. It did take a few days to get used to its size as it is quite wide and bulky. That said, it is extremely comfortable, with titanium on the inside that is smooth on the skin and the rounded edges making it easy to put on and remove. The zirconia ceramic is highly resilient, I almost immediately scuffed it with the handle of a pan while cooking, but the buffer Oura provided quickly buffed it off and made it look like new. The ring is made to withstand water immersion, heat, and cold. So, it can be used while swimming, in the sauna, and shower. I do not shower with it as I prefer not to, but I do plan to take it into the sauna as I like to track my biometrics while in there. *Featured Functions* • Activity tracking: This ring tracks activity phenomenally, to the point that I have been shocked several times. Not only does it know when I am busy just doing housework, it even knows when I take a nap. No other fitness tracker has been able to do that, and they usually try to nudge me to get up and walk around during naps, which only disturbs my nap. The ring then implements all of this activity into its readiness and stress score. • Readiness: This score will take several factors, with the main one being sleep, to tell you how ready you are to take on the day. It gives gentle suggestions with an understanding tone while explaining the reason for the score. • Sleep: This score has always been important to me because I know what difference it makes in my overall health but I struggle greatly with it. I have been checking times that I wake up in the middle of the night, and the ring has accurately gauged when I have been sleeping or awake. It includes analytics such as blood oxygen levels, heart rate variability, and several other biometrics that help understand the body’s sleep patterns. • Heart rate: The heart rate feature works perfectly, if not better than other fitness trackers. Because it is on my finger and does not slide around, there is no issues with lapses in the analytics. • Cycle: The ring uses nighttime temperature to detect the current stage of a woman’s menstrual cycle, but it takes 60 days to be able to start predicting so I am not currently able to comment on the accuracy as of yet. • Other biometric features: A few other included features are oxygen level and breathing. I really enjoy being able to understand where I am at with respiratory and cardiovascular health. Additionally, the ring compiles data to give info on resilience, cardiovascular age, and chronotype, all of which need more time before they can give me a result. I had not heard of chronotype, and I am quite curious as to what advice it will give me on my sleep schedule. *App* The Oura app provides an overview of all the of scores at the top, ring battery life, and makes everything else intuitive to find. It seems that they went for a calming appearance with their layout that does not overstimulate, and they achieved it. *Subscription* It is important to note that some of the analytic features I mentioned need a subscription, but I find the price for it reasonable for the value provided. Without subscription it provides readiness, activity, and sleep scores. *Battery Life* They state the ring has 5-8 days battery life, and for me it lasted until the middle of the eighth day. I am so grateful for this because I can get a whole week of biometrics without worrying about it dying in the middle of the day or night. It is much easier for me to choose a convenient time to charge it as well. It charges quite quickly, taking just over an hour to go from almost dead to fully charged. *Recommendations * I recommend choosing a size for a finger that is not next to fingers that you already put rings on as it might not get along with them plus it might scratch them since it is really high on the Mohs scale. They recommend using your nondominant index finger. I chose my dominant middle finger because I wear a watch and rings on my left and wanted to even that out and my right middle finger felt the most comfortable to me. This, of course, is what led me to scuff it right away and I do have to temporarily switch it to my left side when I am working with my hands even though it fits loosely. It’s definitely ideal to go with a size that fits multiple fingers, which I now kind of wish I had done. Also, the ring fits me well in the size I chose but it almost falls off when I have wet hands. The ring is slightly larger the ring sizer plus the rounded edges makes it easier to remove. With all this said though, it is not so loose that it rotates by itself, so it is still a good size and gives my finger room to swell, it’s just iffy when wet. I thought this worth mentioning as something to consider if you plan on using it while swimming. *Conclusion* I am truly loving this ring and how much insight I am getting into my health. I am also excitedly waiting for the rest of the analytics to load up. I think it is amazing that it can compile data to know when you might even have an underlying issue you are unaware of. There is so much to gain from something so small, conspicuous, and comfortable. I recommend this over a fitness watch.
