This is a quality and easy to use ring sizing kit. You have the option of using the display sizing kit at the store, but it is highly recommended to utilize this kit so you can wear one of the simulated rings a full twenty-four hours to determine the optimize size. It cost ten dollars, but you will receive a ten-dollar gift card upon ordering your ring at the store. The kit comes with twelve different simulated ring sizes, and they are made of sturdy plastic which will accurately model the actual size of the ring. The ring models have small protrusions on the inner side to accurately simulate the sensors in the actual ring against your skin. The simulated ring sizes go from four to fifteen, so there should be a size to fit most everyone. If you have additional family members considering getting an Oura ring, this is a good investment because these can be used over and over for future sizing needs. The ring models fit securely on the ring insert and can be easily stored for future use.

I don't know about you but from my experience with buying rings (especially silicone wedding bands online) I NEVER new what my size would be. Oura just changed that and I commend them for it because sending out sizing kits is an expense that they endure to appropriately size customers and I am glad that they put serious effort into this. These sizing rings are really well made and are quite comfortable to try on. I fit perfectly in a size 8 and actually wore the sizing band around for a few hours just to make sure the comfort was set up for me. It is my understanding that the customer pays an upfront fee for the sizing kit but Oura reimburses you or rolls that money into the ring when you purchase it which is something that I think is very well done and again it's a well made kit and an expense to the company. I think it is imperative for companies to allow you, the customer, a grace period to try on something, especially when size matters. Ring sizing is not something that is necessarily accessible to everyone. Well done Oura.

The ring size kit is very accurate to the actual ring. Upon receiving the kit, I tried out different fingers and different sizes until I found a match. The ring kit has several different sizes to choose from starting at size 6 all the way up to size 15. After deciding on a size that fit on my index finger because not only was that the finger that was suggested, it was the finger that was the most comfortable to wear a ring of that size. I wore the sizing ring for a little over 24 hours and the index finger was the perfect pick. It felt the most comfortable and I easily forgot that the ring was even on my finger. I also tried it on the middle finger (It is awesome that the size 10 ring I chose was able to fit on my index and middle finger), but it just was not comfortable in my opinion. I dont know if it was just because it was squished in between fingers, but it was not as comfortable testing it out on my middle finger as it was on my index finger. I cant boast enough about how close to the ring the sizing and feel of it was. I would def recommend :)

Easiest Way To Ensure A Proper Fit

For anyone considering the purchase of an Oura Ring 4 this is a must have. It takes the guesswork out of the size and is super beneficial if you’re between sizes. The best part is the fit is exactly the same with the comfort fit and rounded edges as the Oura. From all I can tell it’s even the same weight. The recommendation is to wear the ring on your index finger for a few hours or even days to see how it fits during all times of the day. It would be bad to spend all that money to have a ring that doesn’t fit well if your fingers happened to be swollen or even worse if they were cold and you ordered the wrong size ring! One other benefit is if you’re purchasing multiple rings, you only have to purchase one size kit since all sizes are included in the kit. I’m sure sizing is the same between different versions, but I used it specifically for the Oura 4. I’m also not 100% sure how Oura sizes compare to traditional ring sizes so it’s cheap insurance to ensure you get the right size and proper fit.

The Oura sizing kit is an excellent option if you don't have a Best Buy locally, or perhaps it is hard for you to get out. The best part is, the cost of the sizing kit is replaced once you order your actual ring. It is a great experience, comparing the sizing kit to the actual ring that arrived, you are actually getting a feel for what the ring will be like. In other words, don't just size your finger with these, make sure that it is comfortable to wear, as that is what you will be wearing once you are ring arrives, essentially. My 3-year-old very much enjoyed helping me size my ring, as well as playing with them, so get the whole family involved. You can use the kit to size more than one person. The bottom line is, if you are serious about your health, sizing for Oura ring is the first step in using an excellent tool to help monitor and improve your health. No matter what, go to Best Buy and check these rings out, it will get some steps in for you. That is a great start for your health journey.

I was pretty excited to get this ring sizing kit. I've been waiting for it for a little while, and when it was finally delivered, for some reason the delivery person put it in the driveway where I could have almost ran it over. So luckily I seen him on my garage camera coming to drop it off. So I take the package in the house, open it up and try out the many rings that came in the package. It was pretty straightforward and not complicated, and after trying to figure out which finger would I like to have my fitness ring on, I decided to pick the ring finger. So I was pretty comfortable with that decision and then I read that the best finger to have the ring on is your index finger. I wasn't too happy because I never even considered that finger, but I definitely wanted to have the best results from The Ring. So I tried on the number 12 ring and it fit really good. So when I tried to take the ring off, I could not get it over my knuckle. I tried everything I can think of and nothing worked. Finally I got some Vaseline and put it around my finger and then it finally came off. So I decided to go with the number 13 which I can get on and off pretty easily. My problem with the number 13 is that it doesn't fit on your fingers snug enough to really get you the best readings. I think going forward for this ring test kit, they should also add a half size, because some people aren't just a one or two they may be one and a half.

One of the nicer sizing kits that I have gotten for rings. I appreciate that each ring has it’s size on it clearly printed so that if you toss them in a drawer afterwards they are easy to use again in case someone else in the family needs a ring or the next generation comes out. I will say I wish they came in half sizes but I realize that might even harder to produce. My right hand ring finger where I would like to wear it, the 10 is just too small and the 11 feels just a tiny bit big but still works and will enable me to wear the real ring on my index finger of my left hand if my other finger needs a rest. The sizing ring I was able to wear for a couple of days just to see how well it stayed on. The rings pretty high quality for just being for sizing and definitely seem designed to give a decent approximation of the feel of the actual ring. I wouldn’t try to use this to size any other type of smart ring or ring in general out there. I have another smart ring and the sizing is almost the same but different enough to matter, at least on my hands.

The Oura ring sizing kit is pretty straightforward. Try on the different sizes and find which one fits your desired finger the best. There are 12 different ring sizes included starting at size 4 - 15. My ring finger on my left hand is sort of in between 10 - 11. Unfortunately they don't have half sizes as 10.5 would be ideal. I still think 10 is the way to go for myself because 11 was just too large. I would recommend wearing your size for 24-48 hours just to make sure it is comfortable. I do feel like the width of the sizing rings are a little wide. I'm hoping the actual rings aren't so wide as it sort of dug in to my other neighboring fingers and was somewhat uncomfortable. I was able to confirm a size 10 was both comfortable and the correct size after wearing it for over 24 hours. This gives you the ability to test the size in different environments as well. Making sure that your finger isnt going to swell too much in the heat and shrink to much in a cooler environment. The sizing kit is definitely a must if you want to size the Oura ring correctly to fit your finger.

Good idea before you get an oura ring

There’s really not that much to say about the sizing kit except that it is pretty essential to ensure the best fit for a new oura ring. I used one for my generation 3 oura ring and they highly recommended resizing again if you upgrade to the generation 4 oura ring, as the sizing is slightly different and what fit you perfectly before, might not fit as nicely when you upgrade. The kit comes with 12 different sizes, sized four through fifteen. Oura suggests that you pick the finger you want to wear your ring on. While there is no required finger, they suggest wearing on your index finger. Then pick the ring sizer that gives you a comfortable but snug fit. Too tight will hurt your finger and too loose will not get correct/good readings from your ring. Oura also suggests that you wear the sizing ring for a full 24 hours to ensure that it is comfortable and not too tight for a longer period of time. Once you know you have the correct size for the finger you will wear it on, you are ready to officially order your oura ring!

No one wants to be on a hike to Mordor only for their ring to become tricksie and slip off. Thankfully, the folks at Oura have this problem all sorted with their Ring 4 Sizing Kit. Even if you have had your ring fingers sized by a jewler, you should use the Ours sizing kit to make sure your Oura Ring fits nice and snug. For instance, I would have sworn my precious was a size 8, but according to Oura I should be wearing a size 11. *Cough* Gollum */Cough* Please not that rings in Oura sizing kit will not allow the user to disappear and walk among the wraiths. But inside the box you get twelve sizing rings. All white. Those looking to make a fashion statement will be sorely disappointed m. But for those of us who are just using these as sizing rings as Oura intended, they work well. The entire process is simple. So if it is your quest to purchase an Oura smart ring, you best be getting yourself a sizing kit. On a totally unrelated note, anyone ever noticed how difficult it is to write a thousand word summary about a sizing kit?

The kit comes with twelve plastic rings sizes 4 through 15 that are easy to remove and use to find your perfect fit. The rings are made out of a smooth hard plastic or composite that do give you a sense of actually having a real ring on your hand. They are an off white so they are obvious when you wear one outside your home. I found two that were close to fitting my fingers and wore them for extended periods to figure out which one would give me the best overall fit especially when I exercise. My fingers tend to swell when I run or go on long walks and I wear half gloves when I cycle so I needed a size that would accommodate all my activities and not just work and sleep. After a day of testing I was able to decide on one ring and I am confident that it is the right size for me. I also verified that even when my fingers were swelled from exercise that I could still get the ring over my knuckles. I highly recommend getting the sizing kit so that you get the most of your ring.

The ring sizing kit comes with 12 different sizes. You can see which size fits you best before you want to purchase an Oura Ring. It’s easy to put on and off. It’s plastic as well so you don’t have to worry about it hurting. The sizes is ranging from size 4 to size 15. After you try the size that you feel most comfortable using which they suggest wearing it for 24 hours or more if you want you then buy the ring in the preferred size that you feel most comfortable wearing. They suggest you to use your index finger but I’ve seen people wear these kind of rings on their middle finger as well. I’ve wore an oura ring before. I wore it on my index finger size 12 and it fit like a glove no issues. The size of the ring mint sizing kit is also for the oura ring. I wouldn’t suggest using it to gauge sizes of other rings because it could very well be different and you shouldn’t waste your time trying these out for a competitive ring. I would just purchase a ring sizing kit from them instead of buying this.

To reliably find the best size for the Oura Ring, Oura has a ring sizing kit available or to try at BestBuy stores (the cost of the sizing kit is reimbursed via a BestBuy gift card). The sizing kit is essentially a pack of plastic, differently sized rings to try on. They recommend trying and leaving one on for 24 hours (at this point you would have to buy a sizing kit) and wearing one that fits snug. In my experience, I did find that the skin on your hand can contract and expand throughout the day and can affect how it feels at different times of the day. After wearing one throughout the day, I was able to find a ring size that fit well throughout the day and was comfortable with. After receiving the Oura 4 and wearing it, I can definitively say that the sizing kit very closely resembles the actual ring. The thickness and the size of it, how it felt on my fingersresemblesd the actual ring. Overall, I did find that the plastic sizing ring was an exact match for actual Oura ring and even felt similar to wearing it.

As the title says, this is really easy to use and a no brainer for purchasing before you get an Oura Ring. This is the first non-toy ring I’ve ever worn in my life, as I’m an unmarried man in my thirties and don’t wear jewelry, thus don’t even know my ring size normally. That said, per Oura, their rings fit slightly different anyway, so please, before you drop hundreds on the ring, pick up the ring sizing kit as well. As pictured, it’s twelve rings, all just made out of some type of tougher, cheap plastic, that Oura encourages (and rewards you) for trying before you buy a normal ring. The ring is comfortable, won’t be an issue for anyone allergic to metals, and is easy to use. I was between an eleven and a twelve, but after wearing each one respectively for twenty four hours, decided to purchase a size eleven and am very glad I did as the twelve would’ve been too large. The cool thing here is that the sizing kit comes with a ten dollar credit towards the purchase of your ring, thus making this a net neutral cost.

    Essential for Oura Ring

The Oura sizing kit is an essential part of making sure you have a great experience with the Oura Ring 4. The kit comes with 12 white, plastic rings ranging for size 4 to size 15. Finding the correct size is very important for making sure the plethora of sensors in the Ring 4 are accurate. Oura recommends that you pick a size that is snug, but comfortable. They also recommend choosing the index, ring, or middle fingers and suggest that you choose the finger that does not have a large knuckle. After fitting a few different sizes, I chose my ring finger and a size that fit over my knuckle, but required a bit of work to remove it. Oura recommends wearing the ring for 24 hours to make sure it is comfortable. I wore the ring for the required time and found it to be very comfortable. I did notice on one occasion that my finger swelled during exorcise and the ring was a challenge to remove. But I would rather that, than have it fall off. I highly recommend the purchase of the Oura sizing kit to make sure you get a great fitting, accurate, Oura Ring 4.

The sizing kit is the first step in ensuring that the ring that you order will be comfortable and optimally functional. Please note that this review is a comparison of the size 11 ring in the Oura Ring 4 sizing kit and the size 11 Oura Ring 4 *Ceramic* that was received. The dimensions were a bit different than the actual Oura Ring 4 Ceramic that I received. However, the inside diameter, the most important for fit and function, was quite accurate. Overall, the outside diameter of the Oura Ring 4 Ceramic that was received was about one millimeter larger than the outside diameter of the size 11 ring in the sizing kit. This small difference, a reflection of the fact that the ceramic ring is about a half millimeter thicker than the sizing ring, was noticeable but did not make a meaningful difference in the comfort for me. You may notice this difference if you intend to wear the Oura Ring 4 Ceramic with another ring on an adjacent finger. The differences noted above are for the ceramic version of the Oura Ring 4 and may not apply to other finishes available for this model.

It was nice to receive a good quality sizing kit before receiving the Oura Fitness Ring itself. The sizing kit consists of a set of twelve plastic rings snapped onto a card. The sizes range from 4 to 15. The sizing rings are the same dimensions as the Ōura Ring 4 itself, so you can be confident that the sizing is actually useful. The dimensions being the same as the Ring 4 is important, as a different sizing ring might be more narrow, leading a person to select a smaller size ring. It might be off-putting that a set of plastic rings sells for $10, but you definitely want the right thing for the sizing, and if you purchase the Ōura Ring 4, you'll get your $10 back in the form of a credit toward the Ring 4. The only downside is that there are no half-sizes in the sizing ring set, and is the only reason I did not give this item a full five stars. I am not inclined to believe that this is a substantial stumbling block, as the final goal is to wear a fitness ring, not a ring with a set stone that needs to be oriented upward. Ultimately, the fitness ring itself will operate better when oriented a certain way, but it will still function should it turn on the finger. See my review on the Ōura Ring 4 itself for more detail.

I get the necessity, but…is it necessary?

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I'll start with this: I think it's strange to write a review on a sizing kit independent of the product for which the sizing kit is intended. That said, I do have some thoughts about Oura's sizing kit for their Ring Gen 4. The packaging is light and simple, which I'm growing to really appreciate. Overly obnoxious packaging that is intended to elevate a products quality is…well, obnoxious. I appreciate that Oura is minimizing their footprint for packaging a product that for most people will end up in the garbage. Additionally, I appreciate that while this product has a price tag, if your intention is to purchase the ring, you end up getting the cost of the product credited to your purchase of the ring. I'm not certain that includes sales tax, but you know, Uncle Sam needs his cut, even if it seems "free." As far as a ring sizing kit is concerned, it's fine. I get the necessity behind the thing, especially because Oura rings are a "one size fits one" product. The sizing kit suggests you wear the ring on your preferred finger for at least 24 hours to ensure comfort, but I've heard/read that Oura themselves suggests in the ring's packaging to where the ring on your index finger. If that's true, it's a bit misleading, but I also don't know how much performance of the ring will suffer as a result of NOT wearing it on your index finger. But again, this isn't really supposed to be about the Oura ring, so I'll save my judgements for the full Oura review. Smart Watch companies have been getting around the sizing issue for years with paper-printed templates; this is economical, environmentally friendly (moreso that a shipped package), and simple. I get that rings aren't watch bands, but I'm not entirely convinced shipping hundreds/thousands of packages of plastic rings that will end up in a landfill is the move. I am, of course, assuming these are plastic. Maybe they're some fancy type of biodegradable material that have plant seeds embedded in them, that could be planted in your backyard and actually have a positive environmental impact. Or, maybe they could be made of a dense paper material combined with a pine resin that easily burns, so could be used as a firestarter for your campfire. But, the package doesn't indicate that's the case, so, into the trash with these. I've become used to forced obsolescence with technology, but it's very strange to see it applied to a truly non-tech product that has an intentionally limited use case and lifespan. (I've also heard other people give them to their kids to be colored/drawn on, which is a reasonably good use of the wasted plastic, I guess.) So, I don't know. Do I recommend it? I guess I kind of have to, because it's a necessary cost of admission for the Oura ring. And yes, it doesn't cost me anything, technically. But there is a cost, and I'm not convinced that it's necessary. Hopefully, "three stars" is a good way to covey all of this.

Not much can really be said about a ring sizing kit. The kit contains 12 different sizes, ranging from 4 to 15. I debated, for a while, on getting a size 7 or 8. The instructions say that the ring should fit snug, not loose, that it should be easily removed using soap and water. For me, that indicates that a ring is a bit too snug. For my fingers, having half sizes would have really been helpful. My ring finger on my dominant hand could use a 7.5 and my middle finger on both hands could use an 8.5. I ended up going with a size 7. I can already tell, on occasion, I will need to use soap and water to get the ring off. Currently, our weather/temperature is about 80 degrees. When the temperatures cool down and winter arrives, I'm guessing the size 7 will work just fine. As I mentioned, not much else can be said about this kit. It serves the function it supposed to when looking to buy an Oura ring. Now that I know what size I need, I have this whole kit that I have no use for. Perhaps Oura should have some kind of recycling program for the kit.
