Oura Ring

Stylish, Comfortable, and Surprisingly Powerful.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Oura Ring 4 in silver for my girlfriend and it turned out to be an incredible gift. The design is beautiful and minimal. It looks like an elegant piece of jewelry rather than a piece of technology. The silver finish is clean and subtle, so it matches everything she wears. What surprised us the most is how much useful information it provides. The sleep tracking and readiness insights are very detailed, and the app presents everything in a simple way that’s easy to understand. She actually looks forward to checking her sleep and activity scores every morning. It’s also extremely comfortable and lightweight, so she forgets she’s even wearing it. The battery lasts several days, which makes it easy to use without constantly thinking about charging it. Overall, this was a fantastic purchase and a really meaningful gift. If you’re looking for something that combines great design with powerful health insights, the Oura Ring 4 is absolutely worth it. My girlfriend loves it.

Big ring
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's big, uncomfortable to sleep in, and not at all functional to wear all day. It's very uncomfortable. And the app's exercise tracking features are very limited. I didn't find the app very easy to use.

Best Sleep & Recovery Tracker I’ve Owned
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Oura Ring 4 has completely changed how I understand my sleep and recovery. It’s incredibly comfortable — I forget I’m wearing it — yet it delivers detailed sleep staging, readiness scores, HRV, heart rate, and activity tracking that actually help me adjust my habits. The battery lasts nearly a week, the design is sleek and lightweight, and the insights in the app are clear and actionable. I’ve improved my sleep routine just by following the trends it shows me. Yes, there’s a subscription for full features, but for the depth of sleep and recovery data you get, it’s absolutely worth it. If you care about better sleep, smarter recovery, and a wearable that doesn’t get in the way, this is it.

Worst purchase ever
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To use the app, you'll need to pay a monthly subscription; otherwise, it won't be much help. It might be more worthwhile to invest in a smartwatch, as it can offer similar features without the ongoing cost.

First time Convert from Fitness Band to Fitness Ri
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.PRODUCT Oura Ring 4 - Smart Ring - Size 12 - Stealth Model:JZ90-54218-12SKU:6595532 QUICK REVIEW First time Convert from Fitness Band to Fitness Ring In most cases it seems more accurate than my fitness band (FB), and it allows me to return to wearing a nice watch instead. Use the Sizing Kit and choose your ring carefully. The edges are somewhat sharp, which makes choosing a finger even more critical. The app is not as clear / easy as my FB app, but hopefully it will continue to evolve. In short, I recommend the OURA 4, with a few reservations, but especially if you want to free up your wrist from a fitness band it is a good option. MORE DETAILS PROs - Solid very well build and nice looking - Easy to use and to get started - Long Life between charges - Fast Charging - Good (enough) app CONs - Very Large compared to a typical wedding ring - Edges are too squared off, almost sharp - App is sometimes hard to navigate to find what you want SIZING / EDGES I did not spend enough time with the kit. I ended up moving the ring from my left index finger to my right middle finger (the only other finger that fit). One big issue for me is that the edges are too squared off. I scrape myself all the time. I don’t mean I’m drawing blood (yet), but one main reason I moved fingers is that every time I touched my face, I scraped it on the edge of the ring. Even on my middle finger, I am scraping myself while washing my hair / face. PERFORMACE (Coming from FB) SLEEP TRACKING I found the ring to be especially more accurate in sleep measurement. How do I know this? We had a smoke alarm fail on us, and it was going off every few hours. FB gave me a sleep score of 85 and 7 hours of sleep. The Ring gave me a sleep score of 60 and 4.5 hours of sleep. In other words, the ring knew I was up tossing and turning and the FB did not. The Oxygen readings on the Ring are also more detailed as FB dumbed down the stats a few years ago. I have borderline sleep apnea (as diagnosed in a clinic). The Ring is giving me all sorts of warnings, while the FB says everything is within normal range. STEPS At first, when I had the ring on my left Index Finger the steps were almost identical to my FB and within 10% of my digital dress watch. However, once I moved the ring to my right middle finger, it started recording about 20% fewer steps. I don’t know if this is because it is a tiny bit more loose or Right hand Vs Left hand (maybe 11.5 vs 12). Or maybe the way I hold the dog leash (makes up most of my walking). THE APP There is nothing particularly wrong with the App, it just not as optimized as FB. For example, if you are looking at a stat (STEPS / SLEEP) it shows you a LEFT or RIGHT arrow to go to the previous day. However, instead of just taking you to the previous day, it brings up a full calendar and you have to pick the date. Of course, this is not the end of the world just wasted time hunting for things in the app. WHAT DO I MISS GOING FROM FB TO THE RING? - Vibration Alarms on FB - Seeing the Time at Night Both of these were easily solved by stealing the Digital Assistant Clock from my spouse’s side of the bed! FINAL IMPRESSIONS I am amazed at the size, accuracy and battery life of something like this. It is a marvel of miniaturization. I wish the finish was rounded and it was not scratching me. I wish it was a little smaller, but had I sized it right I probably would have moved it to another finger resulting in a smaller overall size. Finally, it would be perfect it is has some sort of vibration alert / alarm. Yes, I will replace my FB with the ring.

The battery life is excellent and the design is sleek enough to wear all day without feeling bulky like a traditional smartwatch. Lacking BP and ECG but still a good health device
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been slowly watching not only the emergence but rapid developments in smart health devices over the last decade and I've been wanting to try out a device here or there. I do use an iPhone and Apple Health has helped me track my activity levels, but to really take it to the next level I needed a device that interfaced directly with my body for true monitoring and analysis. The watch just seemed somewhat cumbersome and I'm not a watch wearing kind of person (yet) so I started to look at rings and Oura offered their Oura 4 so I took a chance. What I do like is it is a two step process. First, you get a sizing kit which is a series of pre-sized bands and you simply try them on till you find the fit that works for you. You then submit your size to Oura (along with band color, type, etc..) and they then set up a ring custom to that size with its own serial number. Ring sizes vary from 4 to 15 and depending on your finger selection, the sizing can and will be different. For example, my thumb is a 15, pointer and middle are 13 and 12 respectively but my ring finger is an 11 and that is the finger I opted to use. One thing I do wish is Oura offered half size increments. 12 was a little loose but 11 was just a touch too snug. I went with an 11 seeing as I wanted to make sure it was making proper contact. An 11.5 would have fit just right. After submitting my size, I was sent the actual Oura Ring itself in very smart packaging that includes an excellent presentation. Inside, you get the ring and its charging stand which is also very well constructed. It oozes Apple type polish. Even the included USB-C cable is nice and lastly you get a very small manual that has numerous QC codes to point you to not only the app which is required but other resources. The ring itself is very polished and nice looking. Oura says to wear it at all times, but I still find myself removing it to lift weights though. Setting up the ring was very easy. Download the app, have it find your docked ring via Bluetooth, pair and you're finished. A firmware update was immediately available. The app will lead you through numerous steps to help personalize your goals and to enable Oura to interface with Apple Health if you're using an iPhone. Lastly, it will ask to be allowed to send you notifications. I'm still in the process of letting Oura learn my baseline health and sleeping patterns so that will take another week or so (it says it can take up to two weeks). I was happy to know the cardio and strength training I already do has resulted in a sub 50 nightly heartrate and a sub 60 resting heart rate. It is nice to see my bpm react accordingly when I'm eating foods not so great. I found out my sleep was just ok and needs improvement and how many times I wake up in the middle of the night. It will even remind you to get up and move around if you work a sedentary job like I do plopped in front of a computer. It sets initial activity goals for you and will let you know how you're progressing during the day of achieving them even through basic day to day tasks. The Oura app really is designed to take all the data it can from your finger and extract every bit of useful info to help you know where you stand and where you want to go. It is the crucial piece of the puzzle that brings everything together. This is what seperates it from the Apple Watch right now is the sheer amount of data it provides you compared to the Apple Watch. Initially when I was wearing the Oura, it felt like it was in my way and distracting because I'm not used to wearing rings or watches. After a day or so, I found myself not even noticing it and it has pretty much become an extension of my hand and doesn't get in the way. Perfect, right? Not exactly. A subscription is basically mandatory to really get the proper use out of what can be a pretty pricey piece of health tech. The upside is the cost is only $6 a month or $70 a year but that doesn't change the reality that you will need to continue paying more after the initial purchase. Another thing is unlike Apple Watch, it can not read your blood pressure from your finger. It also can not do Electrocardiogram (ECG) either like an Apple Watch. As someone who likes to monitor their blood pressure, this was a major letdown. Lastly, as mentioned at the beginning, offering half sizes would have really let me dial in my ring size instead of having to select a size either a tad too snug or a tad too loose. Having taken this first step into smartwear for health, I can say I am liking getting all this data about my day to day cardiovascular health and how it correlates with everything I do. I may end up stepping up to another device that can do blood pressure and ECGs in the future, but for now the Oura is giving me exactly what I need to start this journey.

fitness tracking with ease
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Design & Comfort • Sleek, minimalist titanium design with recessed sensors improves comfort and elegance. No more interior bumps. • Particularly comfortable for 24/7 wear—lightweight, discreet, and barely noticeable. Health Tracking Capabilities • Uses advanced “Smart Sensing” with multiple sensor pathways for improved accuracy and fewer data gaps. • Exceptional sleep and readiness tracking, sleep stages, heart rate, Temperature, HRV, and cycle insights. Battery & Performance • Battery life extends up to ~7–8 days per charge. • Improved data presentation via an overhauled app—intuitive, streamlined, and insightful. Sizing & Fit • Sizes range from 4 to 15. The sizing kit is highly recommended, as sizes differ from earlier generations. • Some users report the ring may feel a bit loose even when correctly sized—spending a full day/night with the sizing ring is advised to ensure a perfect fit. Subscription Consideration • A required subscription (~US $5.99/month or ~$70/year) unlocks full functionality—insightful metrics and trend data are otherwise limited. Verdict & Value • Critics frequently name it the best smart ring on the market for its comprehensive data, accuracy, sleek design, and cross-platform compatibility. • Drawbacks: High price point (starts at $349–$399; up to $499 for premium finishes like Stealth) and the ongoing subscription adds to lifetime cost. Real User Feedback (Best Buy Reviews Summary) • Across 1,400+ reviews, the ring scores highly for sleep tracking, comfort, and battery life (4.6 overall). • Commonly noted pros: accurate sleep tracking, long-lasting battery, comfortable fit. Cons cited include the subscription fee and vulnerability to scratches.

Insightful fitness wearable
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Oura fitness ring is a very insightful little device. I think what it helped me with most is my sleep and recovery tracking. It has learned my rhythm over use each day, recommended bed times and provided details about my sleep efficiency, restlessness, recovery etc. I find that when I wake up the sleep score and recovery scores are in line with how I feel. It helps me take it easier on days following poor sleep and pushing harder on days where I get good sleep. It’s handy to have metrics on sleep that provide clarity on how I feel each day. I’d say that’s one of the most useful features. From a comfort standpoint, this is where I’m taking a start away. The ring is kind of chunky. You never forget that you’re wearing a ring. Especially if you wear it on either your ring or middle finger, it will be pushing against your other fingers. I’d suggest wearing it on the index finger as is recommended, though I didn’t particularly like wearing the rings from the sizing kit on my index finger. Along with comfort, if you are wearing this ring while working out, it gets in the way of pulling movements. The ring digs into your hand and causes some wicked callouses and general pain/soreness. Pressing movements aren’t bad though. If you have a tendency to play with your ring, there is a notch on the bottom that indicates how the ring should be oriented, I can’t help but press on this with my thumb, then use it to rotate around, it’s begging to be fidgeted with. From a durability standpoint, I am already starting to notice some scratches in the finish. (Stealth color - dark grey/black) these scratches are located on the bottom of the ring, probably from the gnurling on the bar. The charger works well and charges fast, the battery lasts a really long time. If you take it off during showers, it generally stays topped off and ready to go. All in all, I like the insightful features along with the classic handsome styling. It definitely beats the older style with the large flat spot.

Game-Changing Smart Ring
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Oura Ring 4 - Smart Ring - Size 10 - Silver: A Must-Have for Health & Wellness Enthusiasts! I recently purchased the Oura Ring 4 in Silver (size 10), and it’s honestly one of the best tech investments I’ve made for my health and wellness journey. Before getting the ring, I was cautious about sizing, and I highly recommend using the Oura Ring 4 Sizing Kit to ensure the perfect fit. Sizing Kit: The sizing kit is an essential tool. It comes with plastic rings of various sizes, which helps you determine which fits your finger best. I thought I was a size 9, but after using the kit, I realized that size 10 was the more comfortable fit. I appreciate how easy it is to use and how accurate it was, eliminating any guesswork. Design & Build: The Silver finish is sleek, modern, and stylish. It doesn’t look overly techy or bulky, which I love. It fits well with almost any outfit and blends seamlessly into everyday life. The lightweight design makes it so comfortable that I forget I’m wearing it most of the time. Features & Performance: The Oura Ring 4 delivers amazing features when it comes to tracking sleep, activity, and overall health. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now, and the insights it provides into my sleep quality, readiness score, and activity levels are spot on. It’s a great companion for anyone looking to improve their fitness or sleep habits. Sleep Tracking: The sleep insights are incredibly accurate. It tracks different stages of sleep, your heart rate variability, and even body temperature changes, offering tailored advice to improve sleep quality. Activity Tracking: Whether I’m walking, running, or doing yoga, the Oura Ring 4 captures all of it. The activity tracking is super precise, giving me a detailed breakdown of my daily movement and resting heart rate. Battery Life: Battery life is impressive! It lasts for about 7 days on a full charge, and recharging it is fast. I rarely have to worry about it running out of battery in the middle of the week. Health Monitoring: The ring also tracks your heart rate, respiratory rate, and offers insights into how your body is recovering. Comfort: The size 10 fits perfectly, as I mentioned earlier, thanks to the sizing kit. The ring is comfortable to wear 24/7, even while sleeping or exercising. I was initially concerned about it getting in the way of my daily tasks, but it’s so lightweight and unobtrusive that I forget it’s there. Overall Impression: The Oura Ring 4 is perfect for anyone serious about tracking their health and sleep patterns. It has a beautiful design, excellent performance, and a ton of useful features. The Sizing Kit made the process of picking the right size easy, and I’m so glad I opted for the size 10. Whether you’re into fitness, self-improvement, or just want to monitor your wellness, this ring is definitely worth the investment. I would highly recommend the Oura Ring 4 to anyone who wants to track their health in a stylish, effective, and seamless way!
