What a beautiful way to measure sleep and activity

I cannot rave enough about how much I love this ring. Many people have seen it on my finger and asked how well it works and I always have great things to say about it. First off I will say that the sizing kit that you receive prior to the ring is really accurate. The actual ring fit just as the sizing ring did. The ring looks thick, but it is actually very comfortable and I even forget it's on my finger sometimes. That is a huge bonus that I was not expecting. I went with the rose gold color and I love it! I love that the ring fits perfectly snug on my index finger but it also fits on my middle finger. I can switch it if for any reason it starts to bug me on my index finger, but so far I have not had that problem after wearing it for over a week. It only took about 45 minutes to charge and lasts me 7 days. I love that you will get a warning to charge it later in the day before bed time when the battery is low. The app has some great features and tells you about your sleep regimen, how long you are in REM sleep, how long it takes until you fall asleep, deep sleep time and more. It scores the different features and tells you what those scores mean and ways to improve. It also tracks your activity and how many calories you are burning, your heart rate during all periods. It measures your stress level based on the other activities and your body temperature throughout the day. This is such a great ring and the best part about it is you don't have to take it off except when you need to charge it (45minutes give or take) every week. It's very comfortable to wear and comes in different colors. It can be submerged in water so you can wear it while you shower or if you go swimming. Just make sure it does not get loose when you are in water if, like me, you do not like to wear tight rings but a semi snug fit works better. I have worn it while washing dishes, showering, doing yard work and many other activities. The ring color still looks great and its very easy to wipe and clean with a dry cloth. I would def recommend this ring to everyone. It is so useful and gives such great information. The longer you have the ring, the more information can be measured over a longer period of time.

I’ve been using the Oura Ring 4 for a little while now, and I can honestly say it’s the best health and sleep tracker I’ve ever owned. The new sensors are incredibly accurate, and the insights I get every morning actually help me understand how I slept and how to plan my day. The ring is lightweight, comfortable, and way more convenient than wearing a bulky smartwatch 24/7. I barely notice it’s on. The updated design looks sleek and premium, and the battery life is impressive — I can go days without charging it. The app is super clean and easy to use. I love the detailed breakdown of sleep stages, readiness score, and activity tracking. The new features feel more personalized, and the data actually matches how my body feels throughout the day. If you’re on the fence, don’t be. The Oura Ring 4 is absolutely worth it. Perfect for anyone who wants serious health insights without sacrificing comfort or style. 10/10!

Love the Oura Ring. I was hesitant to switch from my Apple Watch, but I am so happy I took the plunge. I don't love the monthly subscription model for the app, but ultimately this is exactly the kind of wearable tech I was looking for. The Oura Ring is discreet, has a great battery life, is comfortable, and gives me all the metrics I need without having constant phone notifications on my arm. Would absolutely recommend this. I also recommend stopping in person by a best buy and using the ring sizer at the store.

Absolutely love my Aura Ring! From the moment I put it on, I was impressed by how sleek, lightweight, and comfortable it feels—so much so that I forget I’m even wearing it. The insights it provides into my sleep, activity, and overall wellness are incredibly accurate and easy to understand, helping me make smarter choices every day. I also appreciate how seamlessly it syncs with my phone and how long the battery lasts a week +, which makes it super convenient. Aura Ring has become an essential part of my daily routine and I can’t recommend it enough!

The Oura Ring 4 has been a fascinating addition to my long list of gadgets and technologies. It provides a great deal of insight into my health habits and is especially useful as a sleep tracker. It is very interesting to review your sleep patterns from the night before or previously to see how well you actually slept and what types and amounts of sleep you got. The Oura app is easy to use and functions very well and displays the collected data in very easy to understand ways. The battery life is very good and I usually charge it while getting ready and showering as recommended. This keeps it topped off, but it will last for about a week on a full charge. It is very durable and I’ve had it immersed in both fresh and salt water with no issues at all. The new design with the smaller protrusions for the sensors is very comfortable. All-in-all, it’s a great device and I really enjoy the information that it provides so that I can work to improve my health.

I HIGHLY recommend this. I was never someone who could wear the fitness bracelets, so this ring has been game changer. It tracks so much more than just steps and is insanely accurate. The battery life is sufficient and doesn't die quickly, but charges fast. It's super comfortable despite being a thicker band.

Oura Ring 4 - Fitness on your finger

The Oura Ring 4 is an amazing piece of technology that fits on your finger. Ever wondered how well you sleep? Do you toss and turn at night or what's your temperature while you're sleeping? Do you snore, or have interruptions that maybe you don't notice? The Oura Ring 4 will help answer these questions as well as do a lot more. Tracking your pulse, your movement and exercise, interacting seamlessly with Apple Fitness, and cycle tracking. Download the app and start learning about your health! There is a subscription for the app, but you do get a trial. Make sure you get the sizing kit first too - that's a must as you'll want to make sure it fits properly. The instructions say best results on your first finger, or pointer so that's where I have it. In the last two weeks I've been monitoring my sleeping patterns as well as my exercise and heart rate. It is interesting to see my scores from day to day and understand how my sleep patterns affect my awake time. LIttle reminders are sent to let you know when it's time to start unwinding for bed or to encourage you to continue to be active. The charger is super fast, and you'll know when it's completely charged because the light will turn green and you'll get an alert on your phone. I place it on the charger when I take a shower and by the time I'm done it's usually fully charged. I've also gone a couple days without charging and battery life has been great. If you are looking for a new tool or gadget to help you track your fitness levels, sleep, and cycle (for women) then this is a fun tool to have and use. Using it alone or in conjunction with another fitness app gives you great insight into how your body is doing. Overall if you're interested in this type of technology, you should totally check it out - once you have it and use it you'll like it.

It gives good insights, and so far it appears to be tracking my sleep properly! Not a huge fan of the subscription required even to use the ring, and calorie tracking doesn't appear to be very accurate. It doesn't feel durable or comfortable to wear while lifting weights or golfing. However, the main reason I got the ring is to track my sleep and stress, so it works well in that area. The ring charges really quickly and hasn't had any issues with the battery life.

I purchased the Oura Ring from Best Buy and have been very impressed so far. The ring is lightweight, comfortable to wear 24/7, and the sleep and recovery tracking is incredibly detailed. I especially like the insights around sleep quality and readiness—they’re easy to understand and genuinely useful. The setup was simple, the app is clean and intuitive, and battery life has been solid. Buying through Best Buy made the process easy, with fast pickup and peace of mind on returns. Overall, very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a discreet, high-quality health tracker.

I am not a fitness freak, but I do care about overall wellness, that's when I came across this ring. Even though I don't like subscription on top of an expensive product, but then I thought I would give it a chance for my wellness and it was one of the best decisions I made. It tracks your sleep and helps build good habits to improve your health. Make sure to use the sizing kit to get a better size. Also our fingers swell at night which can make you uncomfortable. I keep moving the ring from one finger to other which is kind of a little trade off for me. Also if you are weight lifter, you should be careful. I know people using the ring for every day and apple watch for weight lifting data and sync them both. Battery life is more than 7 days. And it's actually stylish!

I started using personal health monitoring devices years ago, specifically with a smartwatch, and really liked the ability to track my health metrics throughout the day without having to think about it. The problem I had, however, was that I had to charge my watch every night, which meant it could not track my sleep. That problem has now been solved with my Oura Ring! To begin, ensuring you have the right size ring is important. I would recommend actually going into a store to use their sizing rings and ensure a proper fit (although, I believe there is also a fitting kit that can be ordered and delivered to you if there are no Best Buy stores conveniently located by you). The ring does have a few options in terms of color and shape/finishing (round versus some flat/angled features). Personally, I swapped out my wedding ring and now wear my Oura Ring on my ring finger in place of my wedding ring. The ring is light (as opposed to a metal ring), but it is also surprisingly robust in terms of durability. The gloss finish has not dulled in the month or so since I have had the ring, nor has it suffered any scuffs, scratches, or other damage despite the fact that I wear the ring 24/7. Personally, I kind of wish they had a matte (versus glossy) option, but what can you do? As far as battery life is concerned, I have no complaints. Oura recommends charing the ring every four days (or so) for about 20-30 minutes at a crack. That will not necessarily charge the ring to 100%, but it should keep it within that 70-80% range. Personally, I have found it relatively easy to find a few hours every few days to charge it completely. The one complaint I would have is that it must be charged on a proprietary stand. Being able to set the ring down on a Qi charging pad would have been really nice. Instead, when traveling, I now need to carry an extra charging device for the ring. luckily, though, the pad is relatively small (maybe only about one-inch square or so). The ring connects seamlessly to the Oura app on a smartphone and it provides ratings for your "readiness," sleep, activity, heart rate, and stress. The thing I really like is that it then tracks these items in the background and provides trending data. Having that functionality, however, does require a subscription (which is something that is not required with my smartwatch), so that is a bit annoying. Overall, though, the ring fits well, it is comfortable, has good battery life, and helps me track my sleep as well as other activity (as promised). I am happy with the purchase.

I’ve been using the Oura Ring for a while now, and I’ve genuinely come to love it. The tracking feels accurate and reliable, especially when it comes to sleep and readiness. It’s been really helpful to see not just how long I slept, but the quality of sleep I’m getting, and the recommendations it gives me have actually led me to make meaningful adjustments to my daily habits. One of my favorite things about it is the design. It looks clean, minimalistic, and it doesn’t scream “fitness tracker” the way some wearables do. I like that I can wear it every day with any outfit, and it fits seamlessly into my routine. Overall, I think it’s a great option if you’re looking for detailed wellness tracking in a form factor that’s comfortable and stylish. I’m really happy with mine.

I love how discreet it is while still providing useful health and activity insights. The battery life has been solid, and syncing with the app has been smooth and reliable. I barely notice I’m wearing it, which is exactly what I wanted. Overall, it’s a great product for tracking health and wellness without the bulk of a watch. Definitely recommend.

I have had wearable health and fitness devices for many years, from simple pedometers to various iPhone and Apple Watch apps with many features. The Oura Ring 4 seems to have reached far beyond, and in a small, supremely convenient package. It is true what I read - it is easy to forget that you are wearing it at all. The charger (photo 1) is small and well-suited to the ring. I think if I were designing it, I would have given the base a magnet for convenience. I have not given a lower rating because of this. The Ring 4 does not have to be oriented to operate, but it does read better when the optical sensors (photo 2) are over fleshier areas of the finger (typically the underside). Optimal alignment is easy by keeping the groove on the outer ring surface (photo 3) on the palm side of the finger. The Oura iPhone app is pretty good. I have mixed feelings about its positioning itself to being the center of your complete health and well-being. It covers everything from exercise ("activity") to sleep to "readiness" and "resiliance," which I have not yet completely deciphered. I would have liked to be able to go straight to statistics of interest without having to drill down through a bunch of menus. A "favorites" button would go a long way here. Pros: Long battery life. The Ring 4 looks like it will keep a charge for at least five days, probably a week. Documentation suggests that it may be usable for eight days from a full charge. Charging is pretty fast - documentation says 20-80 minutes. I'm assumming the 80 minute figure is for charging from empty to full charge. One thing I like to keep track of is my heart rate; the Oura app makes it fast and easy to get statistics with a single tap from the main page. Finally, the Oura app "gets" that I work nights, and understands that my activity (LOTS of walking) and sleep schedules do not take place during traditional hours. Cons: As mentioned before, I would like to be able to have a few topics/statistics available from a front-page "Favorites" menu, but there is no such thing. Hopefully that will be a available in a future update. It is my understanding that the Oura Ring 4 can capture pulse oximetry - percentage of oxygenated blood - but it is as yet an elusive number.

The Best Health Investment I’ve Ever Made

I honestly didn’t expect a small piece of jewelry to make such a big impact on my everyday life—but my Oura Ring completely surprised me. From the moment I started wearing it, I became so much more aware of my sleep, recovery, and overall wellness in a way that actually feels empowering rather than overwhelming. The sleep insights alone are incredible. Instead of guessing why I feel tired or energized, I can clearly see the patterns behind it—and that has helped me build healthier habits that truly stick. I love waking up and checking my readiness score; it’s like having a gentle, encouraging coach guiding my day. What impresses me most is how effortless it all feels. The ring is sleek, comfortable, and beautiful enough to wear with anything, yet it’s constantly working in the background to give me meaningful, easy-to-understand data about my body. No bulky watch, no distractions—just simple, powerful insight. If you’re even thinking about investing in your health, I can’t recommend the Oura Ring enough. It’s not just a fitness tracker—it’s a daily reminder to take care of yourself, listen to your body, and celebrate the small improvements that add up to real change. Truly one of the best purchases I’ve made.

I am in love with this new Oura Ring 4. Not only does it eliminate some of the annoyances of the Oura Ring 3 that I will mention, but it just seems to integrate perfectly into my active and on the go lifestyle. I am also an Apple Watch user, but I find that I am inconsistent about wearing my Apple watch all day and I strongly dislike wearing watches in bed. Therefore, a fitness/health ring is exactly what I needed to get full 24 hour, go anywhere health metrics information and to keep myself accountable to my fitness goals like total daily steps. Unboxing and set-up: As with the Oura Ring 3, OURA has managed to ensure that the packaging is minimal, discrete, and environmentally friendly. In the box were some printed instructions, the ring, the excellent and sturdy charging base, and the USB-C charging cable. Set up with the Oura app was ultra simple with step-by-step instructions to get you started. I selected to integrate the Oura app with my Apple Health app and information to keep health metrics updated across the board. As a note, if you are interested in getting a spare Oura Ring charger, they are size and model specific but can be acquired for around $60 on the Oura website for this ring. With the insane battery life though, I am adequately assured I will have no need for a spare charger at this time. Ring Build quality: This Oura Ring 4 is a MAJOR upgrade from the Oura Ring 3. It is thinner, seems to be made in a sturdier manner with full titanium (e.g., feels less “plastic-y”) and it does not have the annoying and often painful prominent internal sensor nubs of the Oura Ring 3. It is smooth inside and out with recessed sensors (opposite of protruding!) and is overall incredibly discrete, save for one small vertical indented line on the outside surface to help you visually and tactilely line up the ring’s sensors centered on the palm side of your finger as Oura recommends. The stealth finish of this ring is incredibly handsome and, from a distance, could easily be mistaken as a high-quality tungsten ring or other darker-finish metal ring. I elected to use the measuring kit to fit my Oura ring to my ring finger on my left hand to replace my preferred silicon wedding bands I normally wear as a frequent gym goer and vehicle enthusiast. The stealth finish has thus far held up really well to the stresses of the gym, but it is unfortunately getting some light scratches on the outside surfaces from the knurling on barbells and dumbbells. Oura themselves recommends that users wanting to avoid scratches may want to remove the ring during weightlifting sessions. I think this is reasonable and leaves it up to the user whether they care that much about the aesthetics of the ring or not. Maybe one day they will make a premium finish that is designed for the rigors that individuals like mechanics and weightlifters will put their rings through. Fitness Monitoring: As far as my testing has gone, I feel that this ring is highly accurate in both its counts of steps and its measurement of HR and blood oxygenation. I work in the medical field, and I have access to medical grade vital measurement devices, and thus far this ring is always within margin of error accurate on HR and blood oxygenation. Whatever witchcraft gyrometric technology they have built into this ring; my step counts seem to be in line with my Apple Watch if not sometimes higher by a few hundred steps a day. This works for me and again, because this ring is on my hand almost every hour of every week, I prefer the step counts I am getting from it. I am on an active health journey (16 pounds lost so far!) and aim for 7,000-10,000 steps a day. This watch helps me keep those steps counted and even encourages me to do more if I am well rested and I have a high readiness score on the app. I like this feature as it sort of feels like having a personal wellness coach right to hand at all times. I have used the ring to measure my VO2 max score and I got 44 (woohoo!) doing their 6-minute walking test in the app. It will be great to track my VO2 max as the current great thinkers in medicine like Dr. Peter Atilla highly emphasize high VO2 max as a health metric for longevity. The ring also does a reasonably good job of tracking my workouts. My Apple Workouts flow into the Oura app via the Health app integration. I sometimes find that, unfortunately, the Health app information sends over my phone’s data and not my watch’s workout data, which means that in activities like weightlifting where my phone is rarely on my body, I get severely under-measured calorie burn that can’t be edited in the Oura app. My solution to this is to use the Oura ring app’s “record workout HR” feature and to just select walking (there is no weightlifting support for activities monitored yet) while I am in my weightlifting sessions. The calories burned that the Oura app tracks as well as HR measurement line up with my Apple watch Workout tracker and have given me the confidence to start leaving the Apple watch at home and track with my ring only. Health monitoring: I will not go into detail of every feature of the app, but there are a couple of key developments in the app that I am really coming to appreciate. One is the tracking of daytime stress and recovery. The Oura ring has helped me realize that in spite of my generally low resting HR, the ring is detecting I spend time in the “stressed zone” a lot of the day and do not relax much at all, let alone get any daytime restoration. I am going to start using this information to be more intentional about working in relaxation time during the day and to try to even meditate during my lunches as a means to slough some of my stress off. As for how the ring tracks my sleep, it subjectively seems very accurate to me. I can certainly see the difference in the nights when it is my turn to look after our 6-month-old and I am getting up 2 or 3 times a night to do baby cares, versus the nights I sleep through the night. This ring has other useful health features that will interest most people. One is that you can opt to select nighttime blood oxygen monitoring. This can be useful for detecting if you are possible dealing with sleep apnea or other nocturnal hypoxic events that need further screening and consultation with your medical provider. This comes at the cost of reduced battery life, but to me it is worth it. This ring also is capable of tracking body temperature which can be useful for tracking whether you are possibly becoming sick and can also help females monitor their menstrual cycle. Altogether, this ring is a perfect fitness and overall health device that I think will interest many people, particularly in terms of the upgrade of this ring model in quality and battery life. As a healthcare worker and fitness enthusiast, I have no critiques to offer, only excitement and enthusiasm to have this ring in my health monitoring arsenal! Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy your purchase! Remember to get the ring fitment kit first to determine what the right size is for you since they ring sizes do not always perfectly match up with typical wedding band size etc.

It works pretty well... I got this after 3 different fitbits broke. I hope this all metal ring proves to be more durable. So far so good. It identifies my activities pretty well, usually figuring out when I've gone for a walk, took a nap, etc., although I wonder a bit about the accuracy of the sleep tracking. The first night I wore it, I remember having trouble sleeping, an was awake for a long time, but it gave me a pretty good sleep score. I wasn't watching the clock to confirm. Since then, it seems to give me more accurate sleep scores. It also tracks my heart rate well, and identifies stress, and other things, and the app integrates well with my Strava app. Mine still looks good, although it may be very very slightly scratched up on the inside (palm side) after I was handing quite a few sharp edged metal objects with it on, only noticeable on very close inspection. I've also worn it while doing some jobs that got my hands (and the ring) quite dirty. It cleaned up well and suffered no damage. It fits well and is comfortable, and the battery holds up well. Overall I'm pleased with it.
