Obsessed with my Oura ring
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am absolutely in love with my new Oura Ring! From the moment I started wearing it, I could tell it was something special. Not only is it sleek and comfortable enough to wear all day and night, but it has truly helped me become more aware of my health and daily habits. The sleep tracking alone has been a game changer for me. I love waking up and seeing my sleep score and detailed insights—it helps me understand what’s actually affecting my rest and what I can improve. I’ve also become much more mindful of my activity levels and recovery, which has motivated me to take better care of myself overall. What I appreciate most is how easy it is to use. It gives me clear, helpful information without feeling overwhelming. It feels like having a personal wellness coach right on my finger! I can honestly say it has helped me feel more balanced, informed, and in control of my health. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve their sleep, energy, and overall well-being. It’s one of the best investments I’ve made in myself!

Best purchased for fertility
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been using my Oura Ring for a month now, and I’m genuinely impressed. It’s sleek, lightweight, and easy to forget you’re even wearing it which is exactly what I wanted in a wellness tracker. The sleep tracking is incredibly detailed and has helped me better understand my sleep patterns. I’ve started making small changes to my routine based on my readiness scores and have noticed a real difference in my energy levels. I also appreciate the insights on recovery, heart rate, and activity without the bulk of a smartwatch. The app is user-friendly and the daily reports feel like a personal check-in. The only thing to note is that sizing can be a bit tricky – I used the sizing kit before ordering and I’m glad I did. Battery life has also been solid; I only charge it every 3-4 days. Overall, this has been a great investment in my health and well-being. If you’re looking for something subtle, smart, and science-backed, I highly recommend it.

You need this. It’s a must-have.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been using health tracking devices since the first Fitbit came out and have always loved getting the data and health insights. I work in tech so the more data, the better. And out of all my wearables, including 8 different generations of an Apple Watch, my Oura Ring is the one I can’t live without. They’re constantly adding new features, and I find myself checking the app constantly throughout the day to learn how my metrics are changing. I also have a chronic illness and this little tracker has been game changing with tracking my inflammation and flares. It also has notified me on numerous occasions when I’m about to get sick so I can take action sooner to help my body heal faster. I can’t recommend this enough.

Oura ring review
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sleek, smart, and surprisingly accurate. Tracks sleep, recovery, heart rate, and even body temperature — all from a ring that looks like jewelry. Battery lasts a week, and the daily insights actually help you optimize your health. Worth it if you’re serious about wellness.

The best health investment I've ever made.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to start this review by saying that I've lost over 100lb in the past year and a half. In doing so, I've relied solely on my Apple Watch device for all of my health and fitness data. It's worked wonderfully, but I told myself that once I hit or got pretty close to my weight end-goal and into "maintenance mode", I wanted to reward myself. So, along with a few new clothes to start, I decided on a Fitness Ring to supplement my Apple Watch data. The primary reason for this was all the additional data it provides, but more importantly, sleep information. I never sleep with my Watch, even though it can track it because it's just too big for that and for battery/charging purposes. With having Sleep Apnea, I felt this could have a tremendous benefit for me in keeping track of my sleep quality! I also wanted to add that this review will be on the side of Apple, iOS and Apple Health integration. With that being said, along with my Oura Gen 4 ring, I'm also using an iPhone 16 Pro Max with iOS 18 and an Apple Watch Ultra 2 as my complementary devices. So, with the above out of the way, lets break this thing down! Thanks to the sizing kit (which I've also reviewed), I decided on the size 9 ring, on my left ring finger, which is a replacement for my wedding band. It seemed the best fit overall and wound up being a nice replacement for my now over-sized wedding band, which I'd neglected sending in to get resized. Now, thankfully, I don't have to worry about that! Of the colors available to choose from, I was super torn between the Stealth or the Black one. It appears the Black ring, for this generation, has a new coating on it, very similar to the one on my Apple Watch Ultra 2 in Satin Black - I think they call it a "DLC" coating? Anyway, it's blast-processed and is supposed to be much more durable than the Black from previous generations - this ultimately swayed my decision for the Black. Also, I was worried about the Black one being so glossy but I'm so glad I went with this option - not only is it a bit cheaper than the Stealth one, but it is very resistant to fingerprints, smudges, etc. It stays so shiny and if anything happens to smudge on it, it wipes right off! Normally, I do not prefer glossy finishes in my tech, but in this case, it's amazing and perfectly compliments the finish of my Watch Ultra 2! Now, let's go over the setup process. I'm going to go ahead and say it...this ring was perhaps one of the EASIEST tech devices I've ever set up in my life. The entire process was very seamless and I didn't have a single hiccup, the entire time. I simply unboxed it, put it on charge and once charged, started the setup process by downloading the Oura app in my phone's App Store. It immediately detected the ring, I created my account and then it done the firmware update and was ready! Please note that account creation does require you to put in a credit card as part of the setup process, but you do get a 30 day trial of the app and after that, it's $5.99 per month or $69.99 per year. I will touch on the app below, but please don't let that discourage you - the app is amazing, easy to look at and the data it provides every month is so very worth it! That was literally it for the setup process, so I slipped my new ring on and was very excited to see what new insights to my life it could provide. I began using my ring as a companion device for my Watch. Meaning, I tracked all exercises via my Watch and allowed my ring to track everything else! To do this, I simply enabled Read/Write for the Oura app via Apple Health, kept everything "On" except "Workouts" and "Workout Routes". Then, for every metric the ring tracks, I set the order of priority in Apple Health for that metric. For Heart Rate and Steps, I kept my Watch as the top device and my ring as the 2nd - this way, when I didn't have my watch on, such as in the middle of the night, my ring would track steps and heart rate. For everything else, I made my ring the top device (for reference - this is done by going into your metric in Apple Health...let's say "Steps", then "Data Sources and Access, then order your Data Sources at the bottom). Anyway, I began wearing it, as I did my wedding band. All day, every day. Washing dishes, showering, walking, running and other exercising, cleaning the animal cages and enclosures (we have some reptiles), housework and chores, etc. Literally the only time I took my ring off is when I went to use hand sanitizer, as I was unsure if this would degrade the finish over time...or when using harsh chemicals, doing weights at the gym or anything that could put pressure on the ring. During this entire time, I've only gotten the faintest hairline scratch on the bottom (near the notch - more on that below) and I'm not really sure how it got there. At first, I thought it was a smudge, but nope - it's there. Overall though, it does seem pretty durable in the week and a half that I've worn it. As a quick note, worth mentioning - the ring has one small indention/notch, which should remain face-down, on the palm-side of your hand. This is for the purpose of the sensors being properly aligned and such. Alright - the app. Wow, this is wonderful and beautifully laid out. There's some initial data that isn't present in the beginning, as some data points take around 5 days or so to build, before it will show you the result. I did do the 6 minute walking test under the "Hearth Health" sub-menu, which gave me a "High" rating in my Cardio Capacity. We went on vacation the next day after I began wearing my ring. I have Sleep Apnea, so I couldn't wait to see how the Oura ring registered my sleep! I brought my CPAP machine with me and wore it every night, except a single night - just to test. After a few mornings, I was incredibly surprised by the amount of data the ring provided and how is based your "Readiness" for the next day based on your Sleep Score, as well as any exercise you got the previous day. I love the little memos and notes it gives you, as well. After 5 or so days, it them starts tracking your stress levels throughout the day and overall, it seems pretty accurate! However, I do wonder how much of my housework/chores was being considered "stress", lol - I always seemed to get the high stress levels shortly after doing things around the house, for some reason. Oura - if you're seeing this: One bug that I've noticed, which is really annoying. In Apple Health, I sometimes see that I've only taken 1 or 2 steps. The source device being the ring...which is registering steps for the next day. I have to go in and manually delete that data and it will accurately reflect the correct steps for the current day. Also, a bit of humor here. On the last leg of my vacation, we went to a local beer festival, which is considered one of the Top-5 in the nation. Well, let's just say, the next morning, when I woke up, my app was saying that my body temp was higher than usual and that I may need to take it easy that day to "recover". I was honestly floored, as while I didn't drink more than I could handle and was fully functional, I have a low tolerance to alcohol and didn't feel the greatest, since it's not something I do often. So, this alone was proof that the ring was properly detecting things! One thing that impressed me the most, however, is between having my phone on my person, my Watch and my ring all going at the same time, I never got any duplicate readings for heart rate, steps or anything. Also, the automatic sleep tracking seems to be spot-on! It even popped up one day, when I fell asleep, asking me if I took a nap. Yep, I did! This device has been, hands-down the best health investment I've ever gotten for myself. It has surpassed all expectations and surprised my on many levels that I was not expecting. I never thought I'd say this, but it's now a daily driver in my life, right up there with my Watch! I now couldn't go without one or the other. Oura, you've got me invested. Oh and that new AI meal logging you introduced in the app? Yeah, keep that...it's awesome! Fantastic device, excellent app and every bit a 5/5 score for this review!

My Favorite Health Tracker
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been monitoring my health for a while now, using various devices like Fitbit, Apple Watches, and recently, a Samsung Watch. I've always been curious about smart rings, but never got the chance to try one until now. The Oura Ring 4 does a lot of things really well, but there are a few areas where I think it could be improved. **Setting Up** Let's start with the setup process, which was incredibly quick and easy. I was in a rush when it arrived, and I wanted to get it up and running that same evening to track my health and sleep. The entire process took less than 10 minutes, including pairing the device and downloading an update. It had to remain on the charging stand during the pairing and update process. I initially paired it with my Samsung S23 Ultra, and the connection was established very quickly. One thing to keep in mind is that some of the metrics collected by the Oura ring aren't immediately displayed. It takes time to track your ranges, so most of the information isn't available in the first few days. However, you'll start to see trends emerge after the first week of use. Even now, almost a month into using it, the ring is still calibrating my Chronotype/Body Clock information under Sleep Health. It says it needs 3 months of data to complete the calibration. I mention this to emphasize the importance of consistently wearing the ring to obtain meaningful insights into your health. I ended up needing to set the Oura up twice since I changed phones during my first few weeks with it. It was super easy to get it setup on my new device, and all of my previous data was there as soon as I logged into my new device. **Pros** So let’s start off why I think the Oura Ring 4 is a great health device. Again, this is coming from someone who has been using smartwatches everyday for the last 6-7 years. First off, I love that I only need to charge it once a week. I wear it all the time, only taking it off to charge. I do two 30-minute workouts every day, usually a 30-minute run followed by either 30 minutes of strength training, yoga, or core work. It can track all of that and only needs to be charged every 5-6 days. Next, let's talk comfort. At first, the ring was a bit of an adjustment. I've only ever worn my wedding band, so it took time to get used to the Oura Ring 4 on my right hand all the time. I ended up switching it from my index finger to my middle finger. It kept getting in the way on my index finger. After a few weeks of use, I barely notice it anymore. I haven't tried previous-gen Oura rings, but I've heard that they prioritized comfort. It seems like they nailed it with the Ring 4. Another thing that really impressed me was the way Oura presents the data. It's so easy to quickly glance at the app and see how you should plan your day. If you've been pushing too hard without enough rest, it might be time to take it easy. On the other hand, if you've had a great rest day, you might be ready to push yourself harder today. You get a quick score, but you can also dive into the detailed data that was collected to give you that score. Keep in mind that some of this data won't be available right away. You'll need to give the Oura a little time to gather enough data to determine when you're resting or pushing yourself. Oura provides an impressive range of data compared to Apple Fitness, Samsung Health, and Fitbit. It doesn't just give you numbers; it helps you understand how they affect your overall health. It's not just about the data, but also the explanations behind it. You can see how certain factors impact your metrics, allowing you to make lifestyle changes to improve them. For example, I cut out alcohol after seeing how it affected my sleep and recovery. These devices aim to provide health data and actionable steps for improvement. One area I hadn't focused on before is stress. The Oura Ring 4 and app offer valuable insights into how stress impacts my day and how I recover from it. It's motivated me to make time for relaxation. **Areas to Improve** Here are a couple of minor things I'd tweak. First, I wish the app had widgets. I am not sure if they're available on iOS, but for sure not Android. It'd be great to have quick access to my numbers right on my home screen. The other thing is the color. The rose gold looked more like bronze online, which I loved. In person, it's not as dark. It looks more gold than bronze, which is fair since that's the name of the color. I just thought the online images looked more like what I got. It still looks great, though. Just a minor gripe. The subscription fee might be a downside for some, but I think OURA offers a lot of valuable information in a way that's easy to understand. It would be great if purchasing the ring came with a longer membership than 30 days. In contrast, a Fitbit I bought a while ago came with 6 months of membership, if I recall correctly. While Samsung and Apple don't charge for tracking metrics, they also don't provide the same level of detail as OURA. Considering the positive impact OURA has had on my lifestyle in such a short time, I'm willing to pay the subscription fee. The activity tracking could use some work. It's pretty good at tracking most activities, but you have to double-check that it correctly recorded the duration and type of event. At first, I connected it to Health Connect so that it could just import my activities from my watch. It did that, but it would only import the duration of the activity and leave out the heart rate information. So, I switched it to just writing to Health Connect and not reading from it. That way, I can go in and edit the activity it does track or manually start an activity. **Bonus** The OURA app's Labs feature lets you test-drive upcoming features. I'm currently trying out the Oura Advisor and Meal Tracker. The Oura Advisor is an AI chatbot that helps you analyze your data and suggests ways to improve your health. It's like having a personal health coach at your fingertips! The Meal Tracker is pretty cool too. Just snap a pic of your meal, and it'll magically identify what you're eating. Although, it doesn't provide nutritional info yet, which would be super helpful. **Overall** The OURA Ring 4 has completely won me over. It's the perfect introduction to smart rings, and I can't imagine life without it. I'll be using it every day to track my health trends, and I might even ditch my smartwatch since the OURA Ring does everything I need. It's so comfortable and lightweight that I forget I'm wearing it, and I love that I don't have to worry about charging it every day. The app is super user-friendly and gives me a quick overview of my health, but it also lets me dive deep into the data to see how different factors are affecting my overall score. My only request is for some widgets, but that's a minor thing. The OURA Ring 4 is a game-changer, and I highly recommend it.

It has been a game changer for my sleep and allows me to keep track of my stress levels throughout the day. It is very in tune with different activities and biometrics and I love wearing it. It took about 3 weeks to get used to the weight of it but now I barely realize I'm wearing it. It lasts 5-6 days and charges quickly which I also love.

Oura Ring 4 - Black
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased my Oura Ring 4 - Smart Ring to track my overall health due to health issues. My Cartologist recommended that I needed two start tracking my metrics, in aiding in my health recovery. I love the following scores: readiness; sleep; activity; heart; and stress. It takes a full month of wear to get a full metrics of your health, activities, and patterns, It has really helped me look at when I'm stressed, which has really helped me at work. I use the sleep to track recovery and issues with my CPAP. In addition with my Our ring, I measure my blood pressure daily, which is directly tied to my sleep quality. As I've continued with my cardio program, it's been really cool monitoring my heart rate, sleeping and daytime to see how different events impact me. The readiness feature is really cool. because it can tell if my body is recovered enough for a hard workout of a simple 30 minute walk. It's also simple to keep charged, When I see that it's close to needing a charge, its super easy to put it on the charger while you shower and get ready for the day, As far as the finish, I went with the black and haven't had any issues with nicks or scratches since Christmas. I'm rough on rings during the summer so we'll see how it wears, I highly recommend the Oura Ring 4.

Good Body Tracker
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the Oura ring! It calculates my sleep, how ready I am for the day, and any changes in my body. Right now, the battery lasts about 4 days, so I charge it a few times per week. My biggest downfalls are that it’s itchy to my skin when worn overnight and too long during the day, so you need a break. It’s also easy to scratch, and given my occupation, I needed to buy covers to keep it safe. It also doesn’t calculate movement as great as my watch, which I wear on the same arm. Sometimes it gets confused when I’m burping my baby, and other times I’ve walked over a mile and it gathered less than a quarter of it, which I assume is due to me pushing a stroller.

Light, subtle, holistic, great charge and tracking
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Oura Ring is best for sleep, recovery, and overall wellness tracking — it does heart-rate/HRV, temperature, sleep stages, and gives “readiness” scores that help you see trends over time. It’s discreet, comfortable, and has long battery life (5–8 days) — much easier to wear 24/7 than a bulky smartwatch.

The best Oura Smart Ring generation yet!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The fourth generation Oura ring is my third Oura ring and, I must say, they keep getting better and better. Pros: - This newest generation of the Oura ring has the longest battery life of any previous versions. I have gone four days and nights without charging and still had almost 50 percent battery. - They redesigned the charging base in a GREAT way. First, it's heavier than previous versions which is a much appreciated improvement since previous versions easily slid off my desk when taking the ring off or putting it back on. - You'll see in my pictures - the color variations have changed a little bit, too. My 3rd generation and 4th generation rings are both what Oura calls "Stealth," and you'll see it's a bit lighter in color. - The ring itself, although it appears bigger, weighs a little bit less. - The app provides a TON of valuable insights across a wide variety of health concerns. I use mine mainly for focusing on sleep, activity goals, stress management, and what they refer to as a Readiness Score. There are many, many other readings the Oura ring provides, but those are the key metrics I like to keep track of. - The app also integrates with Apple's Health app which provides even more information. Cons: - I dislike the monthly or annual fee. With a smart ring this expensive, I think the membership should come free with the ring - at least for a year or two. Overall, I'm thrilled with this latest iteration of the Oura ring and look forward to improving my health with its vast array of data points.

Happy Healthy Wife
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Oura Ring as a gift for my wife, and it has been an excellent experience from day one. She wears it daily and especially appreciates how comfortable and lightweight it is—she often forgets she even has it on. The sleep tracking has been the biggest standout feature, providing clear insights into sleep quality, readiness, and recovery that she actually finds useful and easy to understand. What we both like most is how the data feels practical rather than overwhelming. The app presents information in a simple, meaningful way that helps her make small adjustments to improve sleep and overall wellness. The battery life has also been impressive, lasting several days between charges. Overall, the Oura Ring feels like a thoughtfully designed product that delivers real value, and it’s been a gift that continues to be useful long after it was opened.

Can't live without it anymore
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was reluctant when I bought it as I did not think I really needed one but in fact, it is a life changer. I am improving my health by being able to observe every accurate detail of my life which would have gone unnoticed, from sleep quality, impact of certain foods and level of activity to body temperature and stress. The food diary is amazing with photo recognition, it even detects unusual foods with little to correct. I paired it with a glucose monitor and my Apple Watch.
