Insightful fitness wearable
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Oura fitness ring is a very insightful little device. I think what it helped me with most is my sleep and recovery tracking. It has learned my rhythm over use each day, recommended bed times and provided details about my sleep efficiency, restlessness, recovery etc. I find that when I wake up the sleep score and recovery scores are in line with how I feel. It helps me take it easier on days following poor sleep and pushing harder on days where I get good sleep. It’s handy to have metrics on sleep that provide clarity on how I feel each day. I’d say that’s one of the most useful features. From a comfort standpoint, this is where I’m taking a start away. The ring is kind of chunky. You never forget that you’re wearing a ring. Especially if you wear it on either your ring or middle finger, it will be pushing against your other fingers. I’d suggest wearing it on the index finger as is recommended, though I didn’t particularly like wearing the rings from the sizing kit on my index finger. Along with comfort, if you are wearing this ring while working out, it gets in the way of pulling movements. The ring digs into your hand and causes some wicked callouses and general pain/soreness. Pressing movements aren’t bad though. If you have a tendency to play with your ring, there is a notch on the bottom that indicates how the ring should be oriented, I can’t help but press on this with my thumb, then use it to rotate around, it’s begging to be fidgeted with. From a durability standpoint, I am already starting to notice some scratches in the finish. (Stealth color - dark grey/black) these scratches are located on the bottom of the ring, probably from the gnurling on the bar. The charger works well and charges fast, the battery lasts a really long time. If you take it off during showers, it generally stays topped off and ready to go. All in all, I like the insightful features along with the classic handsome styling. It definitely beats the older style with the large flat spot.

Game-Changing Smart Ring
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Oura Ring 4 - Smart Ring - Size 10 - Silver: A Must-Have for Health & Wellness Enthusiasts! I recently purchased the Oura Ring 4 in Silver (size 10), and it’s honestly one of the best tech investments I’ve made for my health and wellness journey. Before getting the ring, I was cautious about sizing, and I highly recommend using the Oura Ring 4 Sizing Kit to ensure the perfect fit. Sizing Kit: The sizing kit is an essential tool. It comes with plastic rings of various sizes, which helps you determine which fits your finger best. I thought I was a size 9, but after using the kit, I realized that size 10 was the more comfortable fit. I appreciate how easy it is to use and how accurate it was, eliminating any guesswork. Design & Build: The Silver finish is sleek, modern, and stylish. It doesn’t look overly techy or bulky, which I love. It fits well with almost any outfit and blends seamlessly into everyday life. The lightweight design makes it so comfortable that I forget I’m wearing it most of the time. Features & Performance: The Oura Ring 4 delivers amazing features when it comes to tracking sleep, activity, and overall health. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now, and the insights it provides into my sleep quality, readiness score, and activity levels are spot on. It’s a great companion for anyone looking to improve their fitness or sleep habits. Sleep Tracking: The sleep insights are incredibly accurate. It tracks different stages of sleep, your heart rate variability, and even body temperature changes, offering tailored advice to improve sleep quality. Activity Tracking: Whether I’m walking, running, or doing yoga, the Oura Ring 4 captures all of it. The activity tracking is super precise, giving me a detailed breakdown of my daily movement and resting heart rate. Battery Life: Battery life is impressive! It lasts for about 7 days on a full charge, and recharging it is fast. I rarely have to worry about it running out of battery in the middle of the week. Health Monitoring: The ring also tracks your heart rate, respiratory rate, and offers insights into how your body is recovering. Comfort: The size 10 fits perfectly, as I mentioned earlier, thanks to the sizing kit. The ring is comfortable to wear 24/7, even while sleeping or exercising. I was initially concerned about it getting in the way of my daily tasks, but it’s so lightweight and unobtrusive that I forget it’s there. Overall Impression: The Oura Ring 4 is perfect for anyone serious about tracking their health and sleep patterns. It has a beautiful design, excellent performance, and a ton of useful features. The Sizing Kit made the process of picking the right size easy, and I’m so glad I opted for the size 10. Whether you’re into fitness, self-improvement, or just want to monitor your wellness, this ring is definitely worth the investment. I would highly recommend the Oura Ring 4 to anyone who wants to track their health in a stylish, effective, and seamless way!

Happily Married to my Health
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As someone focused on mental health, physical recovery, and staying balanced while managing a fast-paced lifestyle, the Ourā Ring has been nothing short of transformative. I’ve used smartwatches and fitness trackers before, but nothing compares to the depth and accuracy of insights I get from this ring. From the moment I put it on, it felt like a seamless addition to my daily life — lightweight, sleek, and stylish enough to wear with anything. But it’s the data that keeps me hooked. The sleep tracking is incredibly detailed, helping me fine-tune my routines and understand my energy levels. The readiness score has helped me avoid burnout and push myself on days when I’m actually ready. What sets the Ourā Ring apart is how it helps me connect the dots between my mental health and physical activity. It’s like having a personal wellness coach on my finger 24/7. With my history of addiction recovery, having a tool that encourages mindfulness and balanced habits has been a lifesaver — literally. Battery life is stellar (I charge it every 6 days), syncing is flawless, and the app is intuitive with beautiful visuals that make me WANT to check in on my progress daily. Whether you’re an athlete, a biohacker, or someone on a personal wellness journey like me, I can’t recommend the Ourā Ring enough. If you’re on the fence — take the plunge. It’s more than a ring; it’s an investment in a better version of yourself.

Oura Ring 4 — The Wearable You Forget You're Weari
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As someone who struggles with bulky fitness trackers and watches, the Oura Ring 4 has been a revelation. Its discreet design and incredible comfort are, without a doubt, its biggest selling points. This is the first health tracker I've truly been able to wear 24/7 without ever feeling like it's getting in the way. The comfort improvements over previous generations are immediately noticeable. Oura flattened the internal sensor bumps on the Gen 4, making the inside of the ring perfectly smooth. This is a game-changer. The ring slips easily over the knuckle and, once on, it feels like a piece of regular jewelry rather than a tech gadget. I've worn it while washing dishes, gardening, typing all day, and, most importantly, sleeping—and I genuinely forget it's there. This seamless wearability is what makes the Oura Ring 4 so effective. Because it never feels cumbersome, there's no motivation loss or decision fatigue about putting it on. It just stays on, collecting highly accurate data on sleep, readiness, and stress without any conscious effort from my side. If you're looking for world-class sleep and recovery tracking without the distraction of a smartwatch, the Oura Ring 4’s elegant design and effortless comfort make it the best wearable choice on the market.

The best health investment I've ever made.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to start this review by saying that I've lost over 100lb in the past year and a half. In doing so, I've relied solely on my Apple Watch device for all of my health and fitness data. It's worked wonderfully, but I told myself that once I hit or got pretty close to my weight end-goal and into "maintenance mode", I wanted to reward myself. So, along with a few new clothes to start, I decided on a Fitness Ring to supplement my Apple Watch data. The primary reason for this was all the additional data it provides, but more importantly, sleep information. I never sleep with my Watch, even though it can track it because it's just too big for that and for battery/charging purposes. With having Sleep Apnea, I felt this could have a tremendous benefit for me in keeping track of my sleep quality! I also wanted to add that this review will be on the side of Apple, iOS and Apple Health integration. With that being said, along with my Oura Gen 4 ring, I'm also using an iPhone 16 Pro Max with iOS 18 and an Apple Watch Ultra 2 as my complementary devices. So, with the above out of the way, lets break this thing down! Thanks to the sizing kit (which I've also reviewed), I decided on the size 9 ring, on my left ring finger, which is a replacement for my wedding band. It seemed the best fit overall and wound up being a nice replacement for my now over-sized wedding band, which I'd neglected sending in to get resized. Now, thankfully, I don't have to worry about that! Of the colors available to choose from, I was super torn between the Stealth or the Black one. It appears the Black ring, for this generation, has a new coating on it, very similar to the one on my Apple Watch Ultra 2 in Satin Black - I think they call it a "DLC" coating? Anyway, it's blast-processed and is supposed to be much more durable than the Black from previous generations - this ultimately swayed my decision for the Black. Also, I was worried about the Black one being so glossy but I'm so glad I went with this option - not only is it a bit cheaper than the Stealth one, but it is very resistant to fingerprints, smudges, etc. It stays so shiny and if anything happens to smudge on it, it wipes right off! Normally, I do not prefer glossy finishes in my tech, but in this case, it's amazing and perfectly compliments the finish of my Watch Ultra 2! Now, let's go over the setup process. I'm going to go ahead and say it...this ring was perhaps one of the EASIEST tech devices I've ever set up in my life. The entire process was very seamless and I didn't have a single hiccup, the entire time. I simply unboxed it, put it on charge and once charged, started the setup process by downloading the Oura app in my phone's App Store. It immediately detected the ring, I created my account and then it done the firmware update and was ready! Please note that account creation does require you to put in a credit card as part of the setup process, but you do get a 30 day trial of the app and after that, it's $5.99 per month or $69.99 per year. I will touch on the app below, but please don't let that discourage you - the app is amazing, easy to look at and the data it provides every month is so very worth it! That was literally it for the setup process, so I slipped my new ring on and was very excited to see what new insights to my life it could provide. I began using my ring as a companion device for my Watch. Meaning, I tracked all exercises via my Watch and allowed my ring to track everything else! To do this, I simply enabled Read/Write for the Oura app via Apple Health, kept everything "On" except "Workouts" and "Workout Routes". Then, for every metric the ring tracks, I set the order of priority in Apple Health for that metric. For Heart Rate and Steps, I kept my Watch as the top device and my ring as the 2nd - this way, when I didn't have my watch on, such as in the middle of the night, my ring would track steps and heart rate. For everything else, I made my ring the top device (for reference - this is done by going into your metric in Apple Health...let's say "Steps", then "Data Sources and Access, then order your Data Sources at the bottom). Anyway, I began wearing it, as I did my wedding band. All day, every day. Washing dishes, showering, walking, running and other exercising, cleaning the animal cages and enclosures (we have some reptiles), housework and chores, etc. Literally the only time I took my ring off is when I went to use hand sanitizer, as I was unsure if this would degrade the finish over time...or when using harsh chemicals, doing weights at the gym or anything that could put pressure on the ring. During this entire time, I've only gotten the faintest hairline scratch on the bottom (near the notch - more on that below) and I'm not really sure how it got there. At first, I thought it was a smudge, but nope - it's there. Overall though, it does seem pretty durable in the week and a half that I've worn it. As a quick note, worth mentioning - the ring has one small indention/notch, which should remain face-down, on the palm-side of your hand. This is for the purpose of the sensors being properly aligned and such. Alright - the app. Wow, this is wonderful and beautifully laid out. There's some initial data that isn't present in the beginning, as some data points take around 5 days or so to build, before it will show you the result. I did do the 6 minute walking test under the "Hearth Health" sub-menu, which gave me a "High" rating in my Cardio Capacity. We went on vacation the next day after I began wearing my ring. I have Sleep Apnea, so I couldn't wait to see how the Oura ring registered my sleep! I brought my CPAP machine with me and wore it every night, except a single night - just to test. After a few mornings, I was incredibly surprised by the amount of data the ring provided and how is based your "Readiness" for the next day based on your Sleep Score, as well as any exercise you got the previous day. I love the little memos and notes it gives you, as well. After 5 or so days, it them starts tracking your stress levels throughout the day and overall, it seems pretty accurate! However, I do wonder how much of my housework/chores was being considered "stress", lol - I always seemed to get the high stress levels shortly after doing things around the house, for some reason. Oura - if you're seeing this: One bug that I've noticed, which is really annoying. In Apple Health, I sometimes see that I've only taken 1 or 2 steps. The source device being the ring...which is registering steps for the next day. I have to go in and manually delete that data and it will accurately reflect the correct steps for the current day. Also, a bit of humor here. On the last leg of my vacation, we went to a local beer festival, which is considered one of the Top-5 in the nation. Well, let's just say, the next morning, when I woke up, my app was saying that my body temp was higher than usual and that I may need to take it easy that day to "recover". I was honestly floored, as while I didn't drink more than I could handle and was fully functional, I have a low tolerance to alcohol and didn't feel the greatest, since it's not something I do often. So, this alone was proof that the ring was properly detecting things! One thing that impressed me the most, however, is between having my phone on my person, my Watch and my ring all going at the same time, I never got any duplicate readings for heart rate, steps or anything. Also, the automatic sleep tracking seems to be spot-on! It even popped up one day, when I fell asleep, asking me if I took a nap. Yep, I did! This device has been, hands-down the best health investment I've ever gotten for myself. It has surpassed all expectations and surprised my on many levels that I was not expecting. I never thought I'd say this, but it's now a daily driver in my life, right up there with my Watch! I now couldn't go without one or the other. Oura, you've got me invested. Oh and that new AI meal logging you introduced in the app? Yeah, keep that...it's awesome! Fantastic device, excellent app and every bit a 5/5 score for this review!

Comfortable Health Tracker, Great App
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First time Oura Ring user here but longtime wearer of heath tracking devices. I’ve known about Oura Ring for years but only now was motivated to try one. Simply put, I presumed, at best, it just duplicated my smart watch’s data. Recently though I developed an interest in tracking sleep data to improving my sleep. Problem was wearing a watch to bed is uncomfortable. Secondarily, there are occasions where I ditch my smart watch for a dress watch. The result is I look sharp but create a data gap for that evening and what good is data if it’s incomplete. A ring solves both of these problems so I decided to give Oura Ring 4 a test. OURA APP & MY EXPERIENCE USING IT I’ve only worn the Oura Ring 4 for a few days now but it’s already apparent to me it’s a great companion, not a competitor, to my Apple Watch as I thought it would be. In fact, it integrates with Apple Health and Strava to fine tune its performance boosting and wellbeing suggestions. Of course, whether to share all or part of your data with 3rd parties is only an option. It certainly offers excellent advice and insight either way. What I’ve realized wearing the Oura Ring 4 is that while it’s frequently portrayed as a “fitness tracker,” that’s a misnomer. I see it as a holistic wellbeing tracker with an emphasis on sleep quality. It goals it to give you information and awareness of what the body is saying to improve one’s overall health rather than to, say, boost athletic performance. If you track your athletic efforts a watch is still necessary for real-time information like pace, stride, heart rate zone. The ring doesn’t have GPS so it can’t even record your route without help from your phone. Where the Oura 4 Ring excels over smart watches is how it aggregates fitness activity with daily activity and sleep for a comprehensive picture of your wellbeing. It then explains its graphs and numbers and suggests how to improve or maintain. My watch collects and displays a lot of the same data but it does a poor job of telling me what to do with the information to make meaningful improvements to my life. That brings me to the Oura app. It’s replete with insightful information and is by far the best health data app I’ve ever used because it does explain (like I was five) what it all means. Concepts like sleep heart rate variability can be muddy but the app illustrates what a certain pattern means to your sleeping effectiveness, both for a specific night and long-term trends in an actionable way. I’ve worn sports and smart watches for years but only the Oura app showed me how my evening runs, not far from bedtime, might be interfering with getting quality sleep so I’ve started to run earlier. And I’ve only been using the ring for a few days so lots more for me to discover. This is just one instance of the app’s usefulness. It’s so data rich there is no way I could touch on every data point offered. But the key areas are daily “readiness,” “activity,” “heart rate” (including stress), and the aforementioned “sleep.” The app uses all of these to alert me when it’s time to go all out or take a beat and to forecast wellness issues. For example, it constantly monitors your heart rate and displays in a graph making it easy to discern between a trend and a one-off event or having to wade through a bunch of numbers. But there is a catch, or more accurately a cost. All this detailed knowledge is only available with a $5.99/mo. subscription. Non-subscribers only get general scores for the above categories which severely limits the ring’s usefulness. I detest how everything has gone subscription model and I do my best to avoid them. But $6/mo. for a deeper level of advice and knowledge about my health is digestible even if the ring itself is pricey. When I ask myself if I’d rather have an extra $6 each month or this information, Oura wins ever time. THE RING The Oura 4 ring itself, to me, is the first version that looks and feels more like jewelry than a tracker. Unlike previous models it’s all titanium and the sensors are flusher to the interior. There are a couple sand-sized bumps on the interior, but I don’t feel them wearing the ring. Oura says it’s water resistant. I’m not going to test that but I’ve had no problems when hand washing. The build-quality feels solid, and its slim silhouette (at least compared to older models) is so attractive that I often forget it’s a tracker not jewelry. I blindly ordered the brushed silver color and had no regrets after seeing it in real life when it arrived. It’s matte with a variable sheen as lighting conditions change. In indirect light it’s muted otherwise it does have a touch of shine. If you want something more subdued Stealth is a great option. I think either of these colors more attractive than the standard black and silver colors and worth the upcharge considering the ring will be worn almost 24/7. But that’s obviously a personal choice. By the way, the fit of my size 10 ring is just a touch looser than the equivalent test ring in the Aura Ring 4 fit kit. I can manually twist it around on my finger, but it doesn’t turn by itself. If you want a proper fit spend a day with the fit kit’s “dummy” ring. Oura says battery life is about a week. I don’t know the use case to get that performance. My ring’s battery consumption has been about 20% a day which would come to a 5 day lifespan. I charge mine daily while in the shower. A USB-C charger is included. I’m surprised it’s not Qi wireless as the Oura Ring 4’s competitors offer. Hopefully Oura will develop one as an accessory. I feel the ring’s charger should be as travel-friendly and convenient as the ring itself. FINAL WORDS Bottomline here is there are many reasons to buy the Oura 4. It’s great for people who don’t like smart watches, but also for people who do wear them. It seems counter intuitive maybe, but the Oura 4 and a smart watch really enhance each other plus it’s never bad to have multiple data sources to compare. But most of all Oura 4 ring is an outstanding and comfortable sleep tracker. The app is intuitive and does a magnificent job at actually teaching you about your health rather than leaving you to figure it all out, and isn’t that really the reason to have a health tracker in the first place?

||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I HIGHLY recommend this. I was never someone who could wear the fitness bracelets, so this ring has been game changer. It tracks so much more than just steps and is insanely accurate. The battery life is sufficient and doesn't die quickly, but charges fast. It's super comfortable despite being a thicker band.

Ours ring
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been using the Oura Ring for a while now, and I’ve genuinely come to love it. The tracking feels accurate and reliable, especially when it comes to sleep and readiness. It’s been really helpful to see not just how long I slept, but the quality of sleep I’m getting, and the recommendations it gives me have actually led me to make meaningful adjustments to my daily habits. One of my favorite things about it is the design. It looks clean, minimalistic, and it doesn’t scream “fitness tracker” the way some wearables do. I like that I can wear it every day with any outfit, and it fits seamlessly into my routine. Overall, I think it’s a great option if you’re looking for detailed wellness tracking in a form factor that’s comfortable and stylish. I’m really happy with mine.

What a beautiful way to measure sleep and activity
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I cannot rave enough about how much I love this ring. Many people have seen it on my finger and asked how well it works and I always have great things to say about it. First off I will say that the sizing kit that you receive prior to the ring is really accurate. The actual ring fit just as the sizing ring did. The ring looks thick, but it is actually very comfortable and I even forget it's on my finger sometimes. That is a huge bonus that I was not expecting. I went with the rose gold color and I love it! I love that the ring fits perfectly snug on my index finger but it also fits on my middle finger. I can switch it if for any reason it starts to bug me on my index finger, but so far I have not had that problem after wearing it for over a week. It only took about 45 minutes to charge and lasts me 7 days. I love that you will get a warning to charge it later in the day before bed time when the battery is low. The app has some great features and tells you about your sleep regimen, how long you are in REM sleep, how long it takes until you fall asleep, deep sleep time and more. It scores the different features and tells you what those scores mean and ways to improve. It also tracks your activity and how many calories you are burning, your heart rate during all periods. It measures your stress level based on the other activities and your body temperature throughout the day. This is such a great ring and the best part about it is you don't have to take it off except when you need to charge it (45minutes give or take) every week. It's very comfortable to wear and comes in different colors. It can be submerged in water so you can wear it while you shower or if you go swimming. Just make sure it does not get loose when you are in water if, like me, you do not like to wear tight rings but a semi snug fit works better. I have worn it while washing dishes, showering, doing yard work and many other activities. The ring color still looks great and its very easy to wipe and clean with a dry cloth. I would def recommend this ring to everyone. It is so useful and gives such great information. The longer you have the ring, the more information can be measured over a longer period of time.

All that I expected
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It works pretty well... I got this after 3 different fitbits broke. I hope this all metal ring proves to be more durable. So far so good. It identifies my activities pretty well, usually figuring out when I've gone for a walk, took a nap, etc., although I wonder a bit about the accuracy of the sleep tracking. The first night I wore it, I remember having trouble sleeping, an was awake for a long time, but it gave me a pretty good sleep score. I wasn't watching the clock to confirm. Since then, it seems to give me more accurate sleep scores. It also tracks my heart rate well, and identifies stress, and other things, and the app integrates well with my Strava app. Mine still looks good, although it may be very very slightly scratched up on the inside (palm side) after I was handing quite a few sharp edged metal objects with it on, only noticeable on very close inspection. I've also worn it while doing some jobs that got my hands (and the ring) quite dirty. It cleaned up well and suffered no damage. It fits well and is comfortable, and the battery holds up well. Overall I'm pleased with it.

A Little Device That Does So Much!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Oura Ring 4 has been a fascinating addition to my long list of gadgets and technologies. It provides a great deal of insight into my health habits and is especially useful as a sleep tracker. It is very interesting to review your sleep patterns from the night before or previously to see how well you actually slept and what types and amounts of sleep you got. The Oura app is easy to use and functions very well and displays the collected data in very easy to understand ways. The battery life is very good and I usually charge it while getting ready and showering as recommended. This keeps it topped off, but it will last for about a week on a full charge. It is very durable and I’ve had it immersed in both fresh and salt water with no issues at all. The new design with the smaller protrusions for the sensors is very comfortable. All-in-all, it’s a great device and I really enjoy the information that it provides so that I can work to improve my health.

Oura Ring 4 - Fitness on your finger
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Oura Ring 4 is an amazing piece of technology that fits on your finger. Ever wondered how well you sleep? Do you toss and turn at night or what's your temperature while you're sleeping? Do you snore, or have interruptions that maybe you don't notice? The Oura Ring 4 will help answer these questions as well as do a lot more. Tracking your pulse, your movement and exercise, interacting seamlessly with Apple Fitness, and cycle tracking. Download the app and start learning about your health! There is a subscription for the app, but you do get a trial. Make sure you get the sizing kit first too - that's a must as you'll want to make sure it fits properly. The instructions say best results on your first finger, or pointer so that's where I have it. In the last two weeks I've been monitoring my sleeping patterns as well as my exercise and heart rate. It is interesting to see my scores from day to day and understand how my sleep patterns affect my awake time. LIttle reminders are sent to let you know when it's time to start unwinding for bed or to encourage you to continue to be active. The charger is super fast, and you'll know when it's completely charged because the light will turn green and you'll get an alert on your phone. I place it on the charger when I take a shower and by the time I'm done it's usually fully charged. I've also gone a couple days without charging and battery life has been great. If you are looking for a new tool or gadget to help you track your fitness levels, sleep, and cycle (for women) then this is a fun tool to have and use. Using it alone or in conjunction with another fitness app gives you great insight into how your body is doing. Overall if you're interested in this type of technology, you should totally check it out - once you have it and use it you'll like it.

Great monitoring features in a compact design
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I started using personal health monitoring devices years ago, specifically with a smartwatch, and really liked the ability to track my health metrics throughout the day without having to think about it. The problem I had, however, was that I had to charge my watch every night, which meant it could not track my sleep. That problem has now been solved with my Oura Ring! To begin, ensuring you have the right size ring is important. I would recommend actually going into a store to use their sizing rings and ensure a proper fit (although, I believe there is also a fitting kit that can be ordered and delivered to you if there are no Best Buy stores conveniently located by you). The ring does have a few options in terms of color and shape/finishing (round versus some flat/angled features). Personally, I swapped out my wedding ring and now wear my Oura Ring on my ring finger in place of my wedding ring. The ring is light (as opposed to a metal ring), but it is also surprisingly robust in terms of durability. The gloss finish has not dulled in the month or so since I have had the ring, nor has it suffered any scuffs, scratches, or other damage despite the fact that I wear the ring 24/7. Personally, I kind of wish they had a matte (versus glossy) option, but what can you do? As far as battery life is concerned, I have no complaints. Oura recommends charing the ring every four days (or so) for about 20-30 minutes at a crack. That will not necessarily charge the ring to 100%, but it should keep it within that 70-80% range. Personally, I have found it relatively easy to find a few hours every few days to charge it completely. The one complaint I would have is that it must be charged on a proprietary stand. Being able to set the ring down on a Qi charging pad would have been really nice. Instead, when traveling, I now need to carry an extra charging device for the ring. luckily, though, the pad is relatively small (maybe only about one-inch square or so). The ring connects seamlessly to the Oura app on a smartphone and it provides ratings for your "readiness," sleep, activity, heart rate, and stress. The thing I really like is that it then tracks these items in the background and provides trending data. Having that functionality, however, does require a subscription (which is something that is not required with my smartwatch), so that is a bit annoying. Overall, though, the ring fits well, it is comfortable, has good battery life, and helps me track my sleep as well as other activity (as promised). I am happy with the purchase.

Best purchased for fertility
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been using my Oura Ring for a month now, and I’m genuinely impressed. It’s sleek, lightweight, and easy to forget you’re even wearing it which is exactly what I wanted in a wellness tracker. The sleep tracking is incredibly detailed and has helped me better understand my sleep patterns. I’ve started making small changes to my routine based on my readiness scores and have noticed a real difference in my energy levels. I also appreciate the insights on recovery, heart rate, and activity without the bulk of a smartwatch. The app is user-friendly and the daily reports feel like a personal check-in. The only thing to note is that sizing can be a bit tricky – I used the sizing kit before ordering and I’m glad I did. Battery life has also been solid; I only charge it every 3-4 days. Overall, this has been a great investment in my health and well-being. If you’re looking for something subtle, smart, and science-backed, I highly recommend it.

Does just about everything
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had wearable health and fitness devices for many years, from simple pedometers to various iPhone and Apple Watch apps with many features. The Oura Ring 4 seems to have reached far beyond, and in a small, supremely convenient package. It is true what I read - it is easy to forget that you are wearing it at all. The charger (photo 1) is small and well-suited to the ring. I think if I were designing it, I would have given the base a magnet for convenience. I have not given a lower rating because of this. The Ring 4 does not have to be oriented to operate, but it does read better when the optical sensors (photo 2) are over fleshier areas of the finger (typically the underside). Optimal alignment is easy by keeping the groove on the outer ring surface (photo 3) on the palm side of the finger. The Oura iPhone app is pretty good. I have mixed feelings about its positioning itself to being the center of your complete health and well-being. It covers everything from exercise ("activity") to sleep to "readiness" and "resiliance," which I have not yet completely deciphered. I would have liked to be able to go straight to statistics of interest without having to drill down through a bunch of menus. A "favorites" button would go a long way here. Pros: Long battery life. The Ring 4 looks like it will keep a charge for at least five days, probably a week. Documentation suggests that it may be usable for eight days from a full charge. Charging is pretty fast - documentation says 20-80 minutes. I'm assumming the 80 minute figure is for charging from empty to full charge. One thing I like to keep track of is my heart rate; the Oura app makes it fast and easy to get statistics with a single tap from the main page. Finally, the Oura app "gets" that I work nights, and understands that my activity (LOTS of walking) and sleep schedules do not take place during traditional hours. Cons: As mentioned before, I would like to be able to have a few topics/statistics available from a front-page "Favorites" menu, but there is no such thing. Hopefully that will be a available in a future update. It is my understanding that the Oura Ring 4 can capture pulse oximetry - percentage of oxygenated blood - but it is as yet an elusive number.
