A Fitness and Health Game Changer!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got the new Oura Ring 4 a couple weeks ago and have been wearing it every day since it arrived! I wasn’t sure how much I would like it, but I knew I needed a product like this in my life. I’m not in the best shape right now, so anything that helps motivate me to move more and become more active, is good and something I need. The ring arrived quickly, within just a couple of days of shipping, and was well-packaged, in a nice little sturdy cardboard box, carefully protected to avoid any damage in transit. Unboxing the ring was exciting and the minimalist, elegant packaging made it feel like a premium product right from the start. Inside the box, the ring was securely positioned on the charging base, with the charging cable held in place around the charging base. The ring comes with clear instructions that make getting started simple and straightforward for anyone. It’s pretty obvious that Oura pays attention to presentation and user experience, with the packaging offering a great first impression of their product. The setup process for the Oura Ring 4 is really easy. I popped the ring on to the charging base, connected it to power, and let it charge fully for a few hours, before doing anything else. This step is crucial to maximize battery life and to make sure the ring is ready to be used and won’t run out of power during the first few days as it works to calibrate your body activity and get to know you and how your vitals. The charging process itself is really quick, and so far it seems that a full charge lasts me about a full week, which is a lot longer than any other wearable health tracking devices I’ve tried in the past. Pairing the ring to the Oura app on my phone was easy and only took a few minutes. Once it’s all charged, and paired with the app, you are ready to start using your new “health companion”. Aesthetically speaking, the ring itself is a good looking piece of technology, in fact, I’d go as far as to say that the Oura Ring 4 is stunning. I chose the gold finish, for a touch of elegance and class, in my opinion, and the polished finish gives it a sleek and stylish look that blends perfectly with your normal jewelry, which I do wear. At a glance, and even when you take a good long look at it, it really looks like a traditional gold ring, which I love. Sliding it on for the first time, I immediately noticed how smooth and comfortable it felt on my finger. The titanium shell on both the inside and outside makes a huge difference. It’s solid without being bulky, and the rounded inside makes it easy to take on and off. When you wear the ring, there is a small notch on the outside that you need to keep positioned towards the palm side of your hand. It’s the LED light that lights up when charging or when the power is low. I like that you can feel the notch, ever so slightly, so that you can verify it’s in the correct position even if you can’t see it in a dark setting. Over the past two weeks, I’ve been wearing it through all my daily activities, while sleeping, during my workouts and even while cleaning house, and after all that it still looks as good as new. Despite a few accidental bumps, there aren’t any major scratches yet, which is a really good sign and a signal of its durability and how well it’s going to look months and years from now. One small suggestion, for a future model, is that I wish the titanium finish wrapped around the edges to give it a truly seamless, solid-gold look. You can see the layers on the edge of the ring, but you do have to look pretty closely to see them. This ring is my very first fitness ring, although I have used fitness watches in the past. While watches are packed with great features to track your health, I never really stuck with them. It’s just not comfortable for me to wear a watch all day and night, especially when sleeping. With the Oura Ring, it took just a couple of nights to get used to wearing it while sleeping, but now I don’t even notice it’s there. I really appreciate how light and comfortable it is, yet it packs all the fitness and health-tracking power of a full size watch. It really is a perfect design for a fitness product. The functionality and amount of data you get from the Oura app is huge! From sleep stages to daily readiness and stress levels, the app gives me an incredible amount of information at my fingertips. Information I can use to make myself healthier and challenge myself to be more active. The insights it offers are easy to understand, even for someone new to fitness rings or fitness trackers in general. Not only does the app provide all of your vitals data, it also makes suggestions on how to improve yourself and it alerts you if something looks wrong or you might need to check on something. It notices changes in your routine and it flags those moments, asking you to provide details about what you were doing differently at the time. Whether that be working out, walking the dog, or maybe you were in a stressful situation, an argument or got some bad news. YOu can let the app know what is happening so that it better tracks that type of activity in the future. I’m so happy to have access to my vitals all in one place now, and with reliable insights that I can trust, and are only going to get better over time. I’m especially impressed with the sleep tracking features, giving me the ability to learn more about a part of myself that was previously impossible, well, because I’m sleeping, lol. I’ve been able to see patterns in my sleep quality which helps me make smarter choices about when to wind down or how my day affects my rest and how my rest affects my day. This ring is a game changer for me. Giving me constant access to my health information has already made a difference in my routine. As somebody who works from home, I tend to sit for long periods of time at my computer, but now, the Oura app notifies me when I’ve been sitting for too long and lets me know that I need to get up and take a quick walk, or stretch. I’m a little out of shape and looking for ways to improve my fitness, and the Oura Ring feels like a personal health coach right on my finger. It’s a great reminder to stay active and listen to what my body is telling me. The readiness score, in particular, has been a useful gauge to know how prepared I am for physical activity each day, and it motivates me to take it easy when I need to recover or push harder when I’m well-rested. I’m so happy to have this ring, and I really don’t have any bad things to say about it. After about two weeks with the Oura Ring 4, I honestly couldn’t be more pleased. It’s a powerful piece of technology, wrapped in a beautiful, durable design, with a user-friendly app that brings all of my health data together in a meaningful way that’s easy to understand and put into action. I’d recommend this ring to anyone interested in taking charge of their health, whether you’re a fitness enthusiast or just looking to improve your overall well-being. The Oura Ring 4 is a high-tech, 24/7 health coach that fits on your finger, and I’m excited to have it as part of my daily life. Thank you Oura!

Very useful on a daily basis.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been extremely impressed with the Oura Ring. It’s sleek, comfortable, and easy to wear 24/7. The sleep tracking is outstanding, giving clear, actionable insights into sleep quality, recovery, and readiness without feeling overwhelming or gimmicky. What really sets Oura apart is how well it connects the dots between sleep, activity, stress, and overall health. The daily readiness score is surprisingly accurate and helps me make smarter decisions about training, rest, and recovery. I also appreciate the focus on long-term trends rather than just daily numbers, which makes the data genuinely useful. The app is clean, intuitive, and well-designed, and the battery life is excellent compared to other wearables. If you’re looking for a low-profile, high-quality health tracker that prioritizes sleep and recovery without the bulk of a smartwatch, the Oura Ring is absolutely worth it.

The best fitness ring
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Oura 4 is hands down the best fitness ring available. It looks great (I got the stealth color) and so far I've found it to be super durable. I'm amazed at the technology Oura has been able to pack into such a tiny package. The ring is hardly bigger than the average wedding band, yet it senses heart rate and heart rate variability, blood oxygen levels, temperature, and it has an accelerometer to track movement, including steps and movement while you sleep. And somehow they figured out how to pack into it a battery the lasts for 8 days. Speaking of sleep, sleep tracking is my favorite feature. I don't sleep well, so knowing what's going on with my body is important for developing a sleep plan that optimizes efficiency. I've used watches to track my sleep in the past, and always suspected they weren't very accurate. The watch would indicate I was getting 8 hours of sleep, but somehow I still felt tired. I compared my watch with the Oura Ring 4 and while the watch was saying 8 hours of sleep, the Oura 4 was saying 6.5 hours, showing me an accurate picture of when I actually got to sleep, and how long I stayed there, as well as giving me ideas on what I can do to sleep better, with reminders to take specified steps. And most importantly for me, it showed me when my O2 levels dropped off. I have mild sleep apnea, so keeping an eye on that is important for heart health. I honestly can't say enough positives about the Oura 4. The ring is gorgeous and functional. The app is really good, as well, breaking down all data for you and putting the information in an easy-to-read format. I'm pretty sure I haven't even touched the surface of what can be learned from the app, but I'm getting there. I highly recommend the Oura 4, whether you're a fitness guru, or you just want to understand your body better.

Accurate, looks great, a lot of helpful info
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve always worn some kind of smart watch to monitor my fitness. Mostly Fitbits. The biggest drawbacks to a smart watch is battery life - frequent charging - and not tracking my health when I wear an actual watch (which I like doing when going out or attending a formal event). There’s also a question of what to do with all the data your watch gathers? What really separates the Oura ring from other health trackers I’ve used is the helpful advice it gathers. In some ways it takes the data and gives recommendations (vs. just telling you how long you slept or how many steps you made). But it requires some work. While it does a great job of automatically tracking activities/sleep and HR, to really take advantage you have to go into the app and tell it what you’ve done. That can help establish patterns, matching what activities you’ve done one night that might mean you’re going to sleep worse. IN THE BOX AND SETUP In the box you’ll get your ring, charging base and charging cable. Setup is dead simple. You pop the ring on the charger and download the app. I was up and running in no time. Of course there was a firmware update, but it didn’t take long. It takes a week or so to track your vitals to get a baseline. But it’s awesome being able to wear a device that doesn’t have a screen and has long battery life, so you literally just wear it and forget it. DESIGN I’ve been super impressed with the design and durability of the ring. I opted to wear it in lieu of my wedding band. My wedding band has lots of signs of wear and tear on it (mini scratches that could be polished out). I’ve worn the Oura full time doing everything I would normally do, other than lifting weights. It is recommended that you don’t wear it while lifting weights. But I’ve been seriously impressed that it’s shown no signs of scratching. It’s a small sample size, but still, I would have expected some scratch by now. Point being, it’s a well designed, and great looking ring. ACCURACY It’s difficult for me to say how accurate it is, the best I can do is compare my vitals between my Oura ring and my Pixel Watch. It’s incredible how similar they are. It’s amazing all the sensors and battery fit in such a small device. In any event, I can at least say that the Oura ring’s accuracy is just as good if not better than my Google Pixel (and you’ll have to assume the Pixel Watch is accurate). USE Like I said, you simply wear this device. There’s obviously no screen, no distractions, no extra device bugging you. I love the simplicity when I want to track my activities without getting notifications from a watch or phone. But you can’t talk about the use without talking about the app itself. The app, to me, was a little overwhelming at first. There’s a lot there. Like most apps, however, you spend a little time in it, and it will make sense. I wouldn’t say it’s the most intuitive app I’ve ever used, but the layout makes sense. The Oura ring can automatically track activities. So if you go for a run, it knows you went for a run and will track your stats. Same goes for cycling. It’s a bit hit and miss on indoor cycling in terms of automatically recognizing it. But if you were to open up the app, it will typically ask you to confirm or edit activities. Sometimes I’ll know I went for a walk, sometimes it will detect an activity that I didn’t remember as an actual activity. You’re able to edit activities or add them. The idea is that it helps keep track of your activity level, offering advice as to things you can do to improve your activity level. Sleeping, it measures your total sleep, efficiency and REM sleep. It gives you all this data in a nice chart - similar to other sleep trackers. But it automatically keeps track of when you go to bed and wake up, and then will be proactive in sending notifications to your phone to let you know when you should start winding down to make sure you get enough rest. Again, this is all automatic. The non-automatic part, is that you can go in and for each day select 2 dozen or so different options (like late workout, caffeine late in the day, etc.). If you stay diligent about this, the app will recognize patterns to help coach you on what you should or shouldn’t do to get a better night’s sleep. What I like the most is recognizing stressors. It will flag when your vitals spike and identify stressors throughout the day. I found these to be pretty spot on, when I braked hard in my car and my adrenaline spiked, it recognized it as a spike. It measures all this in 15 minute intervals. In short, think of Oura as a comprehensive device that includes the app and the ring, that offers coaching to better help you meet your goals, whether it’s to get better sleep, workout more, or lower your stress. But the app does require a subscription to take full advantage of all these features. The only other downside I see is getting locked into the one size ring (obviously it’s not adjustable like a watch). So you’re kind of stuck with using whatever finger you sized it for. CONCLUSION In some ways, the Oura is similar to most fitness trackers. I get similar data between my Pixel watch and the Oura. But the big difference is the app itself, which offers great advice (and it reminds you to give yourself grace). It unfortunately requires a subscription to get the most features, but the price is in range with what you’d expect (but something to consider for the price conscious). The ring itself is pricey, but you’re getting a well designed, durable, and sharp looking ring. While the price is subjective as to what you can afford, as a value proposition, taking into account everything it offers, it’s well worth it. No more do you have to find time to charge a device every single day to track your sleep, you need only charge this once a week and it charges fast. The downside of no screen on your tracker is that all the notifications come through your phone (i minimize my app notifications as best I can) but I’ve yet to find a wasted or otherwise notification that bothered me from Oura. I’m extremely pleased.

I wear it every day
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Oura ring is something I haven looking to try for quite some time since now of my good friends attributed better health results to wearing a ring. I already own and wear a fit bit watch, so I was interested in learning whether there was much overlap in their functions and features. and whether these was any benefit to wearing both or advantage to one over the other. My conclusion is that they are different enough to justify wearing both. Here is what I like about the Oura ring: - It tracks sleep and scores it. I had had difficulty getting that other device to produce sleep information. The Oura makes it easy to find the score on a dashboard across the top of your home page on the app, then tells you what goes into the score, plus it provides insights into how to manage the score. - It tracks movement. Oura gives you the option to track calorie burn as they measure it, or steps. I started with calorie burn and found I achieved my goal too early in the day, so I switched to steps to push myself to do more throughout the day. - It tracks heart rate. - It measures what it calls Stress. Oura shows you when you are stressed, which I found to be when I am moving a lot. I don't think there is anything the sensors can track which measures mental stress, especially since it cannot track blood pressure, so I found this feature less useful so far. - It has excellent battery life. The manufacturer claims up to 8 days and I found that to be accurate. - It looks good. The styling is clean and basic, and the workmanship is excellent. It is made of pure titanium, and I have not had any allergic reaction to it. I expect it to last a long time. - It is comfortable. I wear it every day and sometimes forget I have it on. - It provides what it calls a "Readiness" score. I am still larding to use this feature which combines various measurements to tell you if you are "refreshed" and ready to take on the day. It supposedly also can tell you when you are getting sick, but I did not experience this. There are additional measures for women's health which I, as a man, did not use. Where I wish it were better: - Oura claims connectivity with 40+ apps. I can see 10 on my Oura app. Of those, I only recognize Noom and Headspace, neither of which I use. I wish it would connect to more stuff I already have or use. - It cannot track blood pressure. I get it that there are physical limitations to what a ring can do and that it will never duplicate an arm cuff, but perhaps a cuff could be developed as an add-on which would feed into the Oura app, either theirs or maybe someone like Omron. - Of course, it is a subscription "recurring revenue" business model, so I hope they keep adding value and features or else I may move to something better.

Scratches very easily
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Seriously, I was so bummed when I saw how easily this thing scratched. For the price, I expected way better durability. It looks like a wreck after just a few uses. I'm really regretting this purchase right now. Definitely not worth the money if it can't even hold up to normal wear and tear.

Stylish, Comfortable, and Surprisingly Powerful.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Oura Ring 4 in silver for my girlfriend and it turned out to be an incredible gift. The design is beautiful and minimal. It looks like an elegant piece of jewelry rather than a piece of technology. The silver finish is clean and subtle, so it matches everything she wears. What surprised us the most is how much useful information it provides. The sleep tracking and readiness insights are very detailed, and the app presents everything in a simple way that’s easy to understand. She actually looks forward to checking her sleep and activity scores every morning. It’s also extremely comfortable and lightweight, so she forgets she’s even wearing it. The battery lasts several days, which makes it easy to use without constantly thinking about charging it. Overall, this was a fantastic purchase and a really meaningful gift. If you’re looking for something that combines great design with powerful health insights, the Oura Ring 4 is absolutely worth it. My girlfriend loves it.

Best Sleep & Recovery Tracker I’ve Owned
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Oura Ring 4 has completely changed how I understand my sleep and recovery. It’s incredibly comfortable — I forget I’m wearing it — yet it delivers detailed sleep staging, readiness scores, HRV, heart rate, and activity tracking that actually help me adjust my habits. The battery lasts nearly a week, the design is sleek and lightweight, and the insights in the app are clear and actionable. I’ve improved my sleep routine just by following the trends it shows me. Yes, there’s a subscription for full features, but for the depth of sleep and recovery data you get, it’s absolutely worth it. If you care about better sleep, smarter recovery, and a wearable that doesn’t get in the way, this is it.

First time Convert from Fitness Band to Fitness Ri
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.PRODUCT Oura Ring 4 - Smart Ring - Size 12 - Stealth Model:JZ90-54218-12SKU:6595532 QUICK REVIEW First time Convert from Fitness Band to Fitness Ring In most cases it seems more accurate than my fitness band (FB), and it allows me to return to wearing a nice watch instead. Use the Sizing Kit and choose your ring carefully. The edges are somewhat sharp, which makes choosing a finger even more critical. The app is not as clear / easy as my FB app, but hopefully it will continue to evolve. In short, I recommend the OURA 4, with a few reservations, but especially if you want to free up your wrist from a fitness band it is a good option. MORE DETAILS PROs - Solid very well build and nice looking - Easy to use and to get started - Long Life between charges - Fast Charging - Good (enough) app CONs - Very Large compared to a typical wedding ring - Edges are too squared off, almost sharp - App is sometimes hard to navigate to find what you want SIZING / EDGES I did not spend enough time with the kit. I ended up moving the ring from my left index finger to my right middle finger (the only other finger that fit). One big issue for me is that the edges are too squared off. I scrape myself all the time. I don’t mean I’m drawing blood (yet), but one main reason I moved fingers is that every time I touched my face, I scraped it on the edge of the ring. Even on my middle finger, I am scraping myself while washing my hair / face. PERFORMACE (Coming from FB) SLEEP TRACKING I found the ring to be especially more accurate in sleep measurement. How do I know this? We had a smoke alarm fail on us, and it was going off every few hours. FB gave me a sleep score of 85 and 7 hours of sleep. The Ring gave me a sleep score of 60 and 4.5 hours of sleep. In other words, the ring knew I was up tossing and turning and the FB did not. The Oxygen readings on the Ring are also more detailed as FB dumbed down the stats a few years ago. I have borderline sleep apnea (as diagnosed in a clinic). The Ring is giving me all sorts of warnings, while the FB says everything is within normal range. STEPS At first, when I had the ring on my left Index Finger the steps were almost identical to my FB and within 10% of my digital dress watch. However, once I moved the ring to my right middle finger, it started recording about 20% fewer steps. I don’t know if this is because it is a tiny bit more loose or Right hand Vs Left hand (maybe 11.5 vs 12). Or maybe the way I hold the dog leash (makes up most of my walking). THE APP There is nothing particularly wrong with the App, it just not as optimized as FB. For example, if you are looking at a stat (STEPS / SLEEP) it shows you a LEFT or RIGHT arrow to go to the previous day. However, instead of just taking you to the previous day, it brings up a full calendar and you have to pick the date. Of course, this is not the end of the world just wasted time hunting for things in the app. WHAT DO I MISS GOING FROM FB TO THE RING? - Vibration Alarms on FB - Seeing the Time at Night Both of these were easily solved by stealing the Digital Assistant Clock from my spouse’s side of the bed! FINAL IMPRESSIONS I am amazed at the size, accuracy and battery life of something like this. It is a marvel of miniaturization. I wish the finish was rounded and it was not scratching me. I wish it was a little smaller, but had I sized it right I probably would have moved it to another finger resulting in a smaller overall size. Finally, it would be perfect it is has some sort of vibration alert / alarm. Yes, I will replace my FB with the ring.

The sleep tracking is especially impressive, providing detailed insights into sleep stages, quality, and recovery. I appreciate how clearly the app explains data, making health information easy to understand. The readiness and activity scores help encourage healthier daily habits without feeling overwhelming. Battery life is strong, lasting several days on a single charge. The ring feels durable and well-made despite its lightweight design. It’s great for people who want health tracking without a traditional smartwatch. The data feels accurate and consistent over time. Overall, it is an excellent choice for anyone focused on improving sleep, recovery, and overall wellness.
