Comfortable, Insightful, and Easy to Use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been using the Oura Ring for a while now, and overall it has been a very positive experience. What I like most is how comfortable and lightweight it is—I can wear it all day and night without feeling distracted, even while sleeping. Unlike a smartwatch, it’s subtle and doesn’t get in the way of daily activities. The sleep tracking is one of the strongest features. It provides detailed insights into sleep stages, sleep quality, and recovery, which has helped me become more aware of my sleep habits and make better choices around rest. I also appreciate the readiness and activity scores, which give a clear picture of how my body is responding to daily stress, movement, and recovery. The app is easy to use and presents the data in a clear, understandable way, even if you’re not very tech-savvy. Battery life is another plus—it lasts several days on a single charge, which makes it very convenient. The only downside to consider is the monthly subscription required to access the full data, but for me, the health insights and accuracy make it worth it. Overall, I would recommend the Oura Ring to anyone looking for a comfortable, discreet, and reliable way to track sleep, recovery, and overall wellness.

Overall a very nice ring
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the first gen Oura Ring and loved it. Eventually, I misplaced it and needed a new one so I upgraded to the Oura Ring 4. I love this ring. It is so much better than previous generations. The battery life is better and it looks nicer (lower profile). I wish they would come out with a universal charger. My wife and I both have oura rings and it's annoying to have to keep two different chargers. You would think they could make one that you can expand/retract to fit your ring size perfectly.

Amazing ring
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been using the Oura Ring for a while now, and it’s genuinely changed how I understand my health. The sleep tracking is incredibly detailed and accurate, breaking down sleep stages, readiness, and recovery in a way that’s easy to understand and actually useful. I love how subtle and comfortable it is—unlike bulky wearables, I forget I’m even wearing it.

Premium health tracking, beautiful form
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been extremely impressed with the Oura Ring 4. The design is sleek and understated — the gold finish looks premium without being flashy, and it’s comfortable enough to wear 24/7. It doesn’t feel like a piece of tech; it feels like a well-made ring that just happens to be incredibly smart. Where this device really shines is sleep and recovery tracking. The sleep insights are detailed but easy to understand, and the readiness score has been surprisingly accurate in reflecting how I actually feel. Heart rate trends, Heart Rate Variability, activity tracking, and stress indicators all feel well thought out and actionable rather than overwhelming. Battery life has been excellent — several days on a single charge — and charging is quick and painless. If you’re serious about understanding your sleep, recovery, and overall health metrics without wearing a bulky watch, this is a fantastic option. It’s discreet, refined, and genuinely useful. Highly recommended.

Happy Customer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had this for about a month now, and I continue to learn more from it every day. It’s amazing how much information you can get. I truly enjoy reading the morning report each day. The sleep tracking is definitely accurate. I have a four-month-old son, and in the beginning I would check the times I was awake and compare them to what the app showed, and it was spot on. It also accurately tracks when I take walks. It even picks up when I’m doing housework or when work or home life is particularly stressful. While the app does have a cost, it’s minimal and honestly doesn’t matter much considering what you get. There’s a solid warranty plan, along with covers available if you’re worried about scratching. The battery life is WELL worth it, which is a huge reason I bought it. I was terrible about charging my Apple Watch, but now I just make charging this part of my Sunday routine. I don’t have to take it off to shower, swim, or do dishes. It stays on unless I’m charging it. One thing I will say: be VERY mindful of how you place the ring on the charger, or it can get stuck, and that is not fun at all. Other than that, it’s an amazing product with some pretty awesome information

Game-Changer for Sleep & Recovery Tracking
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been using the Oura Ring for ONE month now, and it has genuinely changed how I understand my health especially my sleep and recovery. Charging is quick and easy. The sleep tracking is incredibly detailed. It breaks down deep sleep, like how late meals impact my recovery score which helped me make better daily decisions. The Readiness Score is particularly helpful because it guides whether I should push hard in workouts or prioritize rest. If I had to point out a downside, it’s that it’s not ideal for real-time workout tracking compared to a smartwatch. It’s more focused on recovery, sleep, and overall wellness rather than active fitness metrics. Overall, if you’re serious about improving sleep, recovery, and long-term health metrics and prefer something subtle over a wrist device the Oura Ring is absolutely worth it. Would I buy it again? Yes, without hesitation.

Mora than a health tracker!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pretty awesome and accurate health tracker. It does an amazing job at tracking your different stages of sleep, recovery, and workouts. After a month, it can also alert you of any spikes in stress, fatigue, etc.

This ring changed how I look at my health.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For me it holds me accountable and gives me information that i can take to my doctors to help me with my issues. The ring is comfortable at all times. It holds a charge for almost a week! Just the heart rate data alone has given us information about what happens when I am sleeping. I am purchasing another for a co-worker to help her with communicating with her doctors. I recommend this ring to everyone, it is a powerful source for understanding what is happening at all times in your body. The only downside to the ring after one month of wear is that it does scratch. I am 63 so I am not doing crazy things, just normal life things. I am going to check with a jeweler to see if it can be buffed out occasionally.

OURA ring review
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice design, I use the Apple Watch. The ring complements it since you get good sleep data. Also when I was out recently in New York, the ring would pick up a walk and add them to my exercise routine, the Apple Watch does it but it seemed to me that the OURA ring was better picking up that data. As far as calorie counting of the exercise I can not comment which is better

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Oura Ring has completely elevated how I understand my health. Its sleep tracking is incredibly accurate, the readiness score keeps me tuned into my body, and the ring itself is sleek and comfortable enough to forget I’m wearing it. I love having meaningful insights without a bulky smartwatch. It’s the perfect blend of design, data, and daily wellness.

Solid overall, but battery life could be better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this product — it’s well-made, works as advertised, and feels great to use day to day. Setup was simple and the performance is smooth. The only drawback for me is the battery life. It doesn’t last as long as I expected, and I find myself needing to recharge it more often than I’d like. Still, everything else has been strong enough to keep it at four stars. If the battery were improved, it would be an easy five.

A defiant buy!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After wearing the ring for about a month I can fully say I love it! From everything the ring track to how comfortable it is to wear. I am a person who doesn’t usually wear rings I’ve had no issues wearing it day and night. Also I was worried about how long it would take to charge, and I have come to find out that it take at most 30/45 min for a full charge and the app warns you when running low on battery.

cool little ring
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love how it tracks many things. I would recommend it for women who have issues with their periods. It helped to know when you're getting when you are irregular. Also, it told me days before getting sick so that was weirdly cool. I would recommend sizing up. I does get scratch easy.

Tracks my sleep and heart rate
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been using the Oura Ring for few weeks now, and overall I’m impressed. It’s sleek, lightweight, and much less bulky than a smartwatch, which makes it easy to wear day and night. I mostly use it to track sleep, and I’ve found the insights surprisingly accurate — it breaks down deep, light, and REM sleep in a way that helps me understand my rest better. The stress tracking feature is subtle but useful ad well, instead of just showing numbers, Oura translates them into readiness and recovery scores, which makes it easier to understand when I should slow down versus when I can push myself. It doesn’t feel overwhelming like some other trackers that just throw metrics at you.

For Health, Not Fitness
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a long time user of smartwatches, having a few different brands over the years. I say this because I found myself, quite frequently, comparing the Oura ring to the (app) data that my smartwatch provides. I quickly realized that there really is little overlap in the type of data that each device provides. In my experience, my smartwatch is better for tracking fitness and the Oura ring is better for tracking health. In my two weeks of testing the Oura ring, the battery consistently lasted 5 days. Minus the initial "charge after getting the ring", it took 1.5 hours to fully charge from 19%. After waking up the morning of the 5th day, my ring was at 17%. I read somewhere that if you wear a larger ring size, you'll get more battery life out of it. For my size 7, five days is as much as it will give me. My watch keeps track of current activity data, like steps, workouts, how I slept (when I choose to wear the watch to bed) and heart rate when I prompt it to take that measurement. The ring seems to be more about overall health. It’s more proactive in making observations about how my day may be, which is based on how well I slept and displaying if I’m well rested, thus increasing my activity goal for the day. That being said, there were a couple nights where I slept horribly, waking up frequently and actually getting out of bed. In the morning, the ring gave me a sleep score of 92. I felt like my sleep score should have been closer to 50. A night where I felt like I slept pretty good scored me at 85. One night, my dog was having stomach issues so I had to get out of bed twice to let him outside. In the morning, the Oura app rated my sleep score at 94 - "Optimal". It said my awake time was 49 minutes, but I had "No significant movement during your sleep". Confusing! The graph shows the approximate times I was awake, but the interface does not allow you to interact with the graph to see specific times (by sliding your finger along the graph). Overall, the sleep data the Oura provides is very confusing to me. It doesn't seems to consistently reflect the sleep I feel I actually got, and the data in the app is confusing to interpret. As for tracking steps, smartwatch versus the Oura ring... the Oura ring tracks an average of 2,000 steps more than my smartwatch. This is one metric that I 100% would not rely on the ring to accurately track. For example, I was awake for 6 hours, just doing things around the house. My watch had tracked 1660 steps. The ring had tracked 4153. Yesterday, my watch tracked 4718 and the ring tracked 7214. Taking into consideration my activities, my smartwatch is much closer to my actual step count. I searched Oura's help site on information about step and activity tracking. It says that total count is made up of step-based and non-step-based movements. It also said that wearing your ring on your dominant vs your non-dominant hand can impact your daily totals. The accelerometers in the ring can have difficulty accurately tracking no or limited hand movement activities like cycling or lifting weights. While intense hand movements like drumming (or typing, like I read elsewhere) can greatly inflate the totals. Their website suggested manually adding activities or importing activities by using apps connected to other activity tracking devices. My usual fitness activities include walking my dogs and weight lifting. I thought that it would be an issue wearing the ring for weightlifting, and getting a good grip on the bars. However, I ended up wearing gloves which helped with my grip and protected the ring from getting scratched. I utilized the Health Connect app to combine the data from my watch and ring to get a better picture of my workout (from my watch) and how that contributes to my overall health profile (from my ring). One thing I REALLY wish the ring had was a vibrating alarm. There are some mornings where I have to wake up before my spouse. These times, I wear my smartwatch and set the (vibrating) alarm on it. I honestly do not like wearing my watch to bed. I feel like it's too big and a constant reminder that I'm going to be woken up by an alarm in the morning. I feel like this is actually preventing me from getting better sleep. Wearing a ring, that is much more discreet than a watch, to wake me up in the morning would have been awesome. The data in the Oura app is a lot to digest. I worked in IT as a web developer for 20 years and consider myself fairly tech savvy. I found it to be a challenge to logically navigate around the app. Some data isn’t located where you would expect to find it and sometimes it seemed to be missing data. For example, one of the tabs at the top of the home screen is Heart rate. When you select that, you get your days of data for Heart rate and stress. One day, it showed that I was “stressed” for almost 3 hours. That seemed confusing to me because I didn’t feel stressed any time during the day… at least what I would consider stress. Another metric on this screen is Activity. Despite manually tracking my weightlifting workout and walking my dogs, this was empty. Instead, there was a message that said “When you save your activities, your activity heart rate will appear here.” When I selected the Activity tab on the home screen, and scroll to the very bottom, it lists “other” for the weightlifting from the Health Connect app and “Walking” for when walked the dogs. I’m not sure if this is a glitch in the app or if there’s a different way that I need to “save” my activities. One thing I'd like to note. I got the sizing kit before getting the ring. I tried out a few different sizes on different fingers. I settled on a size 7 for my ring fingers. Since I started wearing the ring and learning how to use the app and interpret the data, I've done a lot of research online. During my research, most photos people posted showed the ring on their index finger. I Googled "best finger to wear a smart ring" and most results said the index finger. During the process of getting this ring, I never saw that there's a "best finger" to wear a smart ring on. I’m not sure if I made a mistake in choosing to wear this ring on my ring finger. It leaves me wondering if my experience with my data results could have been more accurate. The Oura Ring seems to be more of an overall health tracking device. I would not consider the ring as a fitness tracking device, as a standalone product. If you have the means, you can get a good overall health and fitness profile by combining the Oura ring with a smartwatch, or other fitness tracking device. Taking that into consideration, I feel the Oura ring is a bit overpriced. Combine that with the fact that, to get all the useful data, you will need to pay $5.99/month or $69.99/year for that data. Being that I’m provided all my data from my smartwatch for free, I really am disappointed that Oura is charging money for their app data.
