After contacting customer support, I was informed that the ring was outside the 1-year warranty and was offered a $100 discount toward purchasing a new ring. That effectively requires spending another $400+ to replace a device that barely lasted beyond warranty. While I appreciate a gesture, a $100 coupon does not reflect the expected lifespan of a $500 product. Unfortunately, the battery in mine died after around 10 months. To me that's far too short a life span for a product at this price point. Maybe the current generation is better but I don't think it's worth the cost to find out.

It’s nice to have sleep data and heart rate but you can get that info with cheaper watches. My battery died after 7 months and had to go through the headache of replacement. At that price and the cost of monthly membership I expect more.
