Nice but still unsure of it

I really wanted to love the Oura Ring 4, especially since I used my HSA dollars to invest in what I thought would be a top-tier health tracker. Unfortunately, after just a short time with it, I’m packaging it up and sending it right back. Here is why it missed the mark for me: 1. Disappointing Battery Life Oura claims this ring can go up to 8 days on a single charge. Mine is brand new, and I’m already having to put it on the charger after just 3 days. For a device meant to seamlessly track your sleep and daily activity without constant maintenance, charging it twice a week right out of the box is a major letdown. 2. Design and Fit Issues Because I wanted to protect the finish from scratches during daily tasks, I bought a protective cover for it. The cover fits incredibly poorly and is bulky, making the ring uncomfortable to wear. The interior of the ring features recessed sensor bumps designed for a smooth fit against the skin, but the overall exterior dimensions just don't play nice with standard protective sleeves. 3. The App Lacks Real Substance The marketing promises "deep insights" into your sleep, recovery, and stress levels. In reality, the app feels incredibly basic. It gives you surface-level scores but doesn't actually provide the granular, detailed breakdown or actionable health data I expected for a premium device with a monthly subscription fee. 4. Terrible Timing (The Next Gen Drop) To add insult to injury, right after I bought the 4th edition, they announced the 5th edition. Knowing I paid full price for a device that is already being phased out—and underperforming on top of that—made the decision easy. The Verdict The Oura Ring 4 doesn't deliver enough value to justify the price tag or the ongoing subscription fee. I am returning it and taking my HSA bucks elsewhere to look for a health tracker that actually does what it claims.

Great sleep tracker and overall good health ring. I enjoy it more than my watch. Battery life is amazing. Went on a 4-5 day trip and didn’t have to charge it until I came home! Worth the price if you like keeping track of your health, sleep, stress, etc.

Very comfortable, smart learning for your health data, the app gives you ratings and graphs so you can compare daily, weekly, monthly trends. takes a couple weeks to build some of the data needed to be tracked some data populates after the first night of wearing it. Battery life has been lasting 7 days, very quick recharge time. For a female it is a little bulky wish it was a little bit smaller but for all the sensors it may need to be that big. Overall pretty impresed with it.

To be honest with this review, I must say that this ring is much better than the Apple Watch in terms of performance and data. Pros: Sleep analysis Heart rate check Stress monitor (what the Apple Watch lacks) Checks on steps and calorie burn Pretty much everything the Apple Watch or Android based watch or smart watch does. Except this is more discrete and sleek. I wear this every night to monitor my sleep. I would recommend, highly recommend to buy a silicone ring protector for anyone using this ring. For the price, I protect my ring from scratches and dings. There’s really no cons. A lot of people complain of the subscription price. People complain of $5 and that’s nothing. Imagine big companies charging $15 for more content. This ring is for those who want to monitor their health and fitness levels.

The Oura ring has helped me to keep better track of my health. I highly recommend this if you are a person that is trying to better your health. I wear it all the time even at night with no issues and do not realize I have it on compared to a watch.

The Oura Ring has completely elevated how I understand my health. Its sleep tracking is incredibly accurate, the readiness score keeps me tuned into my body, and the ring itself is sleek and comfortable enough to forget I’m wearing it. I love having meaningful insights without a bulky smartwatch. It’s the perfect blend of design, data, and daily wellness.

Worth Every Penny for My Daughter's Sleep Health

I purchased the Oura Ring 4 for my daughter to help her better understand and improve her sleep schedule, and it has exceeded our expectations. As a parent, I wanted something comfortable, accurate, and easy to use and the Oura Ring 4 delivers on all fronts. The ring is incredibly lightweight and stylish, so she wears it day and night without even noticing it's there. The sleep tracking insights have been impressive, providing detailed information on sleep stages, sleep quality, readiness, and recovery. The data is presented in a way that's easy to understand, helping her make small adjustments that have led to more consistent sleep habits. What stands out most is how actionable the insights are. Instead of just collecting data, the Oura app offers personalized recommendations that have helped her establish a healthier bedtime routine. We've already noticed improvements in her energy levels and overall well-being. The battery life is excellent, the app is intuitive, and the ring's design is far more practical than wearing a smartwatch to bed. While it's a premium product, the value it provides in understanding and improving sleep makes it well worth the investment. If you're looking for a reliable, comfortable, and highly effective sleep-tracking device for yourself or a family member, I highly recommend the Oura Ring 4.

Game-Changer for Sleep & Recovery Tracking

I’ve been using the Oura Ring for ONE month now, and it has genuinely changed how I understand my health especially my sleep and recovery. Charging is quick and easy. The sleep tracking is incredibly detailed. It breaks down deep sleep, like how late meals impact my recovery score which helped me make better daily decisions. The Readiness Score is particularly helpful because it guides whether I should push hard in workouts or prioritize rest. If I had to point out a downside, it’s that it’s not ideal for real-time workout tracking compared to a smartwatch. It’s more focused on recovery, sleep, and overall wellness rather than active fitness metrics. Overall, if you’re serious about improving sleep, recovery, and long-term health metrics and prefer something subtle over a wrist device the Oura Ring is absolutely worth it. Would I buy it again? Yes, without hesitation.

I am extremely impressed with the Oura Ring 4. The design is elegant, lightweight, and very comfortable to wear all day. The accuracy of the sleep tracking, heart-rate monitoring, and activity insights is outstanding. The sizing kit was very helpful, and Size 9 fits perfectly. The gold finish looks premium and stylish. Overall, this product exceeded my expectations in both quality and performance. Highly recommended!

I have had my oura ring for a few months and I can honestly say I love it. I use it with my apple watch and the stats are pretty close to each other. I mainly got this to track my sleep and because there are some days I dont feel like wearing my watch. I will admit that my sleep has gotten a lot better since tracking the quality of it. This ring also surprises me with its features like it can tell when Im getting sick or when my body is recovering. My only con about the ring is that it scratches really easily and I will say I wish it had a better tracking system because it can be easy to misplace. All in all I reccomend!

I have enjoyed using my Oura ring. I feel like it gives a very accurate depiction of my health. I love the sleep tracking feature and the ring itself is very comfortable to wear. I was between 2 sizes and I ended up going with the bigger size. I’m so glad that I did because I didn’t realize that your fingers swell so much at night. The battery doesn’t last as long as advertised (mine lasts about 3 days before needing a charge, but that doesn’t bother me as it charges very quickly. Overall, I have enjoyed my Oura ring.

Purchased this ring and love it. Very comfortable and stylish. Seemed pretty accurate. Biggest downfall for me and reason why I returned the ring was because of the subscription fee. $5.99 a month doesn’t seem too expensive but like many others have said, after the cost of the ring and the monthly fee couldn’t justify keeping it

I wanted something different for sleep tracking than wearing my smartwatch. The Oura ring is perfect. Super comfortable, Don't notice it at all, and the battery lasts 8-10 days on a charge. When I need to charge it, it only takes about an hour. The only knock on it is the subscription, but at $70 for the year, it's not terrible. Would highly recommend.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with my Oura Ring 4. It's sleek, comfortable, and offers useful insights into my sleep and recovery. Occasionally, heart rate readings seem slightly off, but generally, the accuracy is good. Battery life holds up nicely too. It’s a bit pricey, but definitely worthwhile for health tracking enthusiasts.
