I’ve had the Oura ring now for over four months. It has been a nice addition to my fitness program and has helped me a lot to understand my sleep patterns. I have had no problems and would definitely recommend the ring to anybody. The app is terrific and is an integral part of my life now. The ring does a sleep study every night. The sleep study has helped me understand how I sleep and how to improve my sleep. With the understanding that I’ve gotten from the app my sleeping has generally improved over the last four months. I work out every day. The ring and app track my activity and my heart rate. Through the additional knowledge, I’ve been able to regulate my eating and argument, my fitness program through additional activity. I started biking again for the season. I was delightfully, surprised that the ring tracks my route and my heart rate and other vitals throughout my bike riding. It is great.

This Oura Ring has provided great insight to my health and daily tracking of vitals and where my overall health stands. The fitting options were great and it holds a charge for so long. Also charges super fast so you hardly have to take it off.

I’ve really enjoyed using the Oura Ring as part of my daily routine. The battery life is impressive, so I don’t have to worry about charging it constantly, which makes it easy to wear all the time.

I got this to help track my sleep and stress in connection with my autoimmune and anxiety issues. So far it has been monumental in signaling a flare up, and it is helping my doctor and I with awareness of side effects of new medication. I did go on Amazon and get different covers to protect it and love it.

I love the data I get from my oura ring, it gives good insight to health trends and notifying if I may be showing signs of getting sick. Takes a few days to get used to the thickness of the band but I’m no longer bothered. Definitely size in store prior to purchasing

Amazing! Love the ring! I bought this one for my hubby so we can share in our ‘circle’ to feed our competitive side! I love all the data it provides to help me be aware of my health and create better and more healthy habits.

Bought the size 10, was a bit tight so I returned to the store the next day to get a size 11. this purchase was early in December and the salesman at the store indicated that I had till January 15th to return if the size was not right. Unfortunately when I returned next day, the gentleman working the service desk would not exchange the ring unless I paid $100 dollar difference (ring was on sale for either Black Friday or Cyber Monday and the guy said he could not exchange at the sale price. So I returned the ring, got a refund, and then purchased a size 11 ring from another company. SO, I really enjoy the ring, but unfortunately for Best Buy I had to buy it elsewhere.

Love it! Got on e for Christmas and ended up getting this one for my girlfriend. She loves it and helps us stay on track with activities, sleep and overall wellbeing.

Like - fit, comfort, look, capabilities, charging and days of battery operation. I wear it 24x7 I especially like step counts, heart rate and sleep monitoring.

I got these for the whole family. Easier to wear to bed and monitor sleep patterns. A lot great and fun insight to your life. Counts steps, provides meditations suggestions, etc. Battery life is almost 2 weeks!

As someone passionate about tracking heart rate variability (HRV) for health and resilience, I put the Oura Ring and RingConn head-to-head—and Oura left me both impressed and frustrated. What Oura Does Well Recovery-Grade HRV: Oura is as accurate as anything outside a hospital, measuring HRV (rMSSD) at night for deep recovery. If you want insight into your autonomic nervous system—stress, strain, and rest—Oura’s data is solid and beautifully presented. Sleep Tracking: The ring’s sleep stage analysis and readiness score are helpful for seeing how your body bounces back, especially if you’ve been under stress, sick, or training hard. Where It Falls Short Paywall for Wellness: After the trial, you have to pay $6/month for most features. Without a subscription, you lose access to HRV trends, detailed sleep, temperature, and more. That means the $350–$500 you paid just gets you the hardware—wellness is extra. Luxury Pricing, Questionable Value: The base price is steep, and the gold version costs even more (and yes, the gold can tarnish—search the reviews!). You’re paying for a brand and a shiny finish, not extra function. Opaque Data: Oura only shows your lowest HRV average at night, not your highest, nor your real-time ups and downs. If your number seems low (mine is often ~19 ms), that’s by design—it’s showing your most “strained” period, not your day’s average. This can be confusing and discouraging. Step Count Drift: After recent updates, Oura’s step count dropped (sometimes undercounted), while RingConn overcounts. Neither is perfect. RingConn: A Cheaper, Broader Lens All-Day HRV: RingConn measures HRV continuously, so you can see how stress, calm, and even emotions affect you throughout the day. No subscription required. Half the Price: $200, with core metrics, including HRV, and no recurring fees. App Needs Work: No way to see weekly/monthly HRV trends (at least as of this writing), which makes long-term improvement hard to track. What Companies Should Learn Stop Gating Health Data: HRV isn’t new; HeartMath has offered this tech for decades, focused on healing, not profits. Wellness shouldn’t be locked behind a luxury paywall. Transparency and Choice: Let users see all their HRV data—lowest, highest, averages, and real-time—and empower them to interpret it meaningfully. Price for Access, Not Exclusion: These rings could transform public health if made more affordable. Apple and Oura, why not partner with mission-driven orgs and make HRV tracking a right, not a privilege? Bottom Line If you want the most validated HRV data for overnight recovery, Oura is still the gold standard—but it comes with a monthly toll, luxury pricing, and data “curation” that hides more than it reveals. If you want more raw, day-long HRV (with some trade-offs in accuracy), RingConn is a worthy challenger at half the price. If I could, I’d blend Oura’s science with RingConn’s access and HeartMath’s spirit. Until then, Oura gets 2–3 stars from me—not for lack of innovation, but for putting wellness behind a velvet rope. I’ve had the Oura Ring for about two weeks, and it has completely changed my routine. I really like it, and the battery has lasted about 8 days on a single charge. If you’re thinking about getting one, I definitely recommend it!

I love the ring it’s not only a cute accessory, but it really tracks everything I need to be tracked. Battery life is great as well!

As someone who suffers from fatigue I dedcided to give smart rings a try to see how I sleep and so far its been pretty insightful. When I have a crappy night of sleep, I can write what things happened before bed or during the night that way I can form pattern and improve my overall sleep. It did detect that I was getting sick. It clocked it on the second day, and I think the only reason it didn't click the first day is because I hadn't put in my cycle yet, and it was probably trying to figure out what day I was on. I think once I get through a full 28 day it will be very helpful with health insights.

Stats work fairly well. Need to really keep up with monitoring the information that is there. Over time I did have problems with my first ring not charging well. Will be interested to see how this second one does over time.

Health reporting is nice. Seems to do well with sleep tracking, but not very good at detecting daily exercise and activities. My biggest issue is the bulk, thickness, and somewhat sharp edges.I catch the band on things all day (pockets, mice, desktops, etc) and have a few times got it stuck in tight spots. Also, I have clanked my head a few times and rubbed my nose just to get a sharp edge to scratch my face. Anyway, cue device, but to clunky for my liking.

This is an absolute must buy for those interested in learning more about your daily living. It fits great, no annoyance noticed and looks great. It seemlessly tracks everything. I definitely recommend this version of the ring.
