Very comfortable in use, helps me a lot to better understand my sleep cycle, looks very stylish. But a little uncomfortable to wear in gym, so I can’t track my activities in gym.

My Oura Ring has completely changed how I track my health and sleep. The insights are accurate, easy to understand, and actually help me make better daily choices. Plus, it’s comfortable and stylish enough to wear all the time. Absolutely worth it!

I really enjoy the ring and its capabilities. It gives me real time stats on the important things (in my opinion) so far I’ve had no issues and the battery life is awesome. Only thing is that it’s quite bulky. Might upgrade to the 5 other than that no complaints.

I am a long time user of smartwatches, having a few different brands over the years. I say this because I found myself, quite frequently, comparing the Oura ring to the (app) data that my smartwatch provides. I quickly realized that there really is little overlap in the type of data that each device provides. In my experience, my smartwatch is better for tracking fitness and the Oura ring is better for tracking health. In my two weeks of testing the Oura ring, the battery consistently lasted 5 days. Minus the initial "charge after getting the ring", it took 1.5 hours to fully charge from 19%. After waking up the morning of the 5th day, my ring was at 17%. I read somewhere that if you wear a larger ring size, you'll get more battery life out of it. For my size 7, five days is as much as it will give me. My watch keeps track of current activity data, like steps, workouts, how I slept (when I choose to wear the watch to bed) and heart rate when I prompt it to take that measurement. The ring seems to be more about overall health. It’s more proactive in making observations about how my day may be, which is based on how well I slept and displaying if I’m well rested, thus increasing my activity goal for the day. That being said, there were a couple nights where I slept horribly, waking up frequently and actually getting out of bed. In the morning, the ring gave me a sleep score of 92. I felt like my sleep score should have been closer to 50. A night where I felt like I slept pretty good scored me at 85. One night, my dog was having stomach issues so I had to get out of bed twice to let him outside. In the morning, the Oura app rated my sleep score at 94 - "Optimal". It said my awake time was 49 minutes, but I had "No significant movement during your sleep". Confusing! The graph shows the approximate times I was awake, but the interface does not allow you to interact with the graph to see specific times (by sliding your finger along the graph). Overall, the sleep data the Oura provides is very confusing to me. It doesn't seems to consistently reflect the sleep I feel I actually got, and the data in the app is confusing to interpret. As for tracking steps, smartwatch versus the Oura ring... the Oura ring tracks an average of 2,000 steps more than my smartwatch. This is one metric that I 100% would not rely on the ring to accurately track. For example, I was awake for 6 hours, just doing things around the house. My watch had tracked 1660 steps. The ring had tracked 4153. Yesterday, my watch tracked 4718 and the ring tracked 7214. Taking into consideration my activities, my smartwatch is much closer to my actual step count. I searched Oura's help site on information about step and activity tracking. It says that total count is made up of step-based and non-step-based movements. It also said that wearing your ring on your dominant vs your non-dominant hand can impact your daily totals. The accelerometers in the ring can have difficulty accurately tracking no or limited hand movement activities like cycling or lifting weights. While intense hand movements like drumming (or typing, like I read elsewhere) can greatly inflate the totals. Their website suggested manually adding activities or importing activities by using apps connected to other activity tracking devices. My usual fitness activities include walking my dogs and weight lifting. I thought that it would be an issue wearing the ring for weightlifting, and getting a good grip on the bars. However, I ended up wearing gloves which helped with my grip and protected the ring from getting scratched. I utilized the Health Connect app to combine the data from my watch and ring to get a better picture of my workout (from my watch) and how that contributes to my overall health profile (from my ring). One thing I REALLY wish the ring had was a vibrating alarm. There are some mornings where I have to wake up before my spouse. These times, I wear my smartwatch and set the (vibrating) alarm on it. I honestly do not like wearing my watch to bed. I feel like it's too big and a constant reminder that I'm going to be woken up by an alarm in the morning. I feel like this is actually preventing me from getting better sleep. Wearing a ring, that is much more discreet than a watch, to wake me up in the morning would have been awesome. The data in the Oura app is a lot to digest. I worked in IT as a web developer for 20 years and consider myself fairly tech savvy. I found it to be a challenge to logically navigate around the app. Some data isn’t located where you would expect to find it and sometimes it seemed to be missing data. For example, one of the tabs at the top of the home screen is Heart rate. When you select that, you get your days of data for Heart rate and stress. One day, it showed that I was “stressed” for almost 3 hours. That seemed confusing to me because I didn’t feel stressed any time during the day… at least what I would consider stress. Another metric on this screen is Activity. Despite manually tracking my weightlifting workout and walking my dogs, this was empty. Instead, there was a message that said “When you save your activities, your activity heart rate will appear here.” When I selected the Activity tab on the home screen, and scroll to the very bottom, it lists “other” for the weightlifting from the Health Connect app and “Walking” for when walked the dogs. I’m not sure if this is a glitch in the app or if there’s a different way that I need to “save” my activities. One thing I'd like to note. I got the sizing kit before getting the ring. I tried out a few different sizes on different fingers. I settled on a size 7 for my ring fingers. Since I started wearing the ring and learning how to use the app and interpret the data, I've done a lot of research online. During my research, most photos people posted showed the ring on their index finger. I Googled "best finger to wear a smart ring" and most results said the index finger. During the process of getting this ring, I never saw that there's a "best finger" to wear a smart ring on. I’m not sure if I made a mistake in choosing to wear this ring on my ring finger. It leaves me wondering if my experience with my data results could have been more accurate. The Oura Ring seems to be more of an overall health tracking device. I would not consider the ring as a fitness tracking device, as a standalone product. If you have the means, you can get a good overall health and fitness profile by combining the Oura ring with a smartwatch, or other fitness tracking device. Taking that into consideration, I feel the Oura ring is a bit overpriced. Combine that with the fact that, to get all the useful data, you will need to pay $5.99/month or $69.99/year for that data. Being that I’m provided all my data from my smartwatch for free, I really am disappointed that Oura is charging money for their app data.

I have had my Oura Ring for about two months now and I really enjoy all of the features. I was nervous that the ring would be too bulky, but I adjusted to it very quickly. Of all the features, I think the sleep and stress tracking are the most valuable for me.

Best investment ever, I have always been an Apple Watch since the first generation. The oura ring has been life changing for me. Just recently I wasn’t feeling well, the oura kept telling me something about was wrong. I paid attention, I had another warning, saying I should contact a physician, I did not ignore it I was having shortness of breath my watch never picked up on it, I am so thankful for my oura ring, I was having an acute asthma attack. Doctors right away notice what my oura ring was detecting. I definitely recommend it 100/100! Life changing for sure.

This ring is fantastic. It’s incredibly light and comfortable—half the time I forget I’m even wearing it. The durability is impressive too; I’ve knocked it against a few things and it still shows almost no scratches. The battery life is next level. The app is intuitive, and the notifications are genuinely helpful without being annoying. When it comes to sleep, it keeps me accountable, and the data feels accurate and meaningful. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants deeper insight into their health and daily habits.

The Oura Ring 4 is a surprisingly powerful upgrade packed into a tiny, elegant design. Sleep tracking is more accurate than ever, giving you clear insights into recovery, HRV, and nightly patterns. Daily readiness and stress tracking feel faster and smarter thanks to improved sensors and better algorithms. Battery life is excellent, lasting several days on a single charge, and the app is smoother with real-time metrics that actually help you understand your body. Overall, it’s a discreet, comfortable, and highly accurate health wearable — easily one of the best upgrades for anyone focused on sleep and wellness.

I use it for recovery and its helped point out my weaknesses and gave some sort if explanation as to why my sleep is not good. However its a ring and as will all consumer tech there can be some margin of error. Still helped me though. Minus on the monthly subscription though

My husband absolutely loves his Oura Ring 4! It’s sleek, comfortable, and packed with helpful features. The app is super easy to use and gives detailed insights into sleep, activity, and recovery. He especially likes that it can connect and share data with his doctor, which makes tracking his health even easier. My cousin joked that it’s the best gift for hypochondriacs since it actually helps calm their anxiety — and honestly, it’s true! Overall, excellent quality and a great investment for anyone who wants to stay on top of their wellness.

The sleep tracking has helped me in finding the best time for bed, allows me to look at different factors that may affect my sleep. I have an Apple Watch as well but I’m more of a jewelry person so I just put it on and forget about it whereas with my watch I am always moving it around and taking it off after I’m done working so I don’t get much information. With the ring I am able to track my whole day.

I really enjoy my Oura Ring 4 and use it every day, especially for sleep tracking and cycle monitoring. Those features have been incredibly helpful and are the main reasons I continue to love the product. However, I'm frustrated that Oura released a new version so soon after I purchased mine. I bought my Ring 4 brand new last year for around $550, and now the newer model is already available with a sleeker, less bulky design. It's disappointing to invest that much money in a premium product only to see a significant upgrade released such a short time later. I also wish the battery life were better, as I find myself charging it more often than I expected. Additionally, I'm not entirely convinced the step-tracking feature is always accurate compared to other fitness devices I use.

For me it holds me accountable and gives me information that i can take to my doctors to help me with my issues. The ring is comfortable at all times. It holds a charge for almost a week! Just the heart rate data alone has given us information about what happens when I am sleeping. I am purchasing another for a co-worker to help her with communicating with her doctors. I recommend this ring to everyone, it is a powerful source for understanding what is happening at all times in your body. The only downside to the ring after one month of wear is that it does scratch. I am 63 so I am not doing crazy things, just normal life things. I am going to check with a jeweler to see if it can be buffed out occasionally.

Nice upgrade over the series 3, but no major improvements. The biggest difference is that it no longer has prongs on the inside of the ring, which makes it noticeably more comfortable and look more like a normal ring on your finger. Tracking data in the Oura app seems very accurate, especially with sleep data. I charge it every morning while I shower/eat breakfast and that’s enough to keep it going until at least the next morning.

I read countless reviews of all the different rings and I settled on this one. I like the ring but I don’t find the information very useful. I got my dad one also and his doctor likes the heart variability function and sleep monitoring to evaluate his health. His doctor has one, too. My dad is 78 years old and finds it very helpful and fascinating. I am 48 and healthy. I don’t get much out of it. It’s cool that it tells me the amount of time of my sleep cycles but I do not get a real time heart beat number. I wish it would tell blood pressure but it doesn’t and I already knew this. It does remind me when I have been idle for too long and how many calories I burn, which I like a lot. The subscription is a down side. I bought the rose gold color. It is more of a copper color. Can’t say I love it. I should have gotten silver but I was worried about it scratching. So far my ring has no scratches and I wear it every day. I’m always hitting it against something. I work in a hospital and use alcohol based hand sanitizer all day. No issues yet. My dad has the shiny black and it still shines with no scratches. He is a telephone man and uses his hands all day at work. The size fits great. I got a size 8 , which fits just like the testing kit. I do feel the ring was over priced but it’s worth buying the one you like since you will be wearing it every day. I was hoping the stealth color was a matte black; however it is not. Stealth was more of a gray, very manly. I just didn’t like it. Kind of cheap looking. So was the titanium color. That’s why I selected rose gold. I wanted something a little feminine. As for battery life, it lasts about 4 days. I try to charge it every few days while I am in the shower. Works well. I’ve had no problems with the ring. Functions as it is supposed to. It’s very comfortable with the flat readers. Feels like any other ring. Not heavy. Looks like a wedding band though.
