This ring is well built. Very high quality, but could use some design improvements. It’s a bit chunky, and uncomfortable on any finger other than the index. Ultimately, I give it 4 stars as a product. However, it gets 0 stars for requiring a subscription to get your data from the product you paid for. There’s nothing special about the app to warrant the subscription when you look at the competition. This lands the product at a 2 star rating from me, I’ve returned this, and went with the Ringconn Gen 2. It does pretty much everything the Oura 4 can do. However the Ringconn is 25% cheaper, has no subscription, is smaller, lighter, more comfortable, has twice the battery life, and comes with a charging case.

It sucks that you need a subscription to get the most out of it

The quality is good and what you get for tech is good. BUT... you need to pay a SUBSCRIPTION for more than basic data. For $350 dollar ring, you still need to pay every month. NO THANK YOU. Get an Ultrahuman if you can. Oura sued them, so they are hard to find in the US.

Stopped working after just 5 months and scratches very very easily. Having to pay an app subscription is a rip-off

I ordered the Oura ring 4 in gold size 5, received stealth size 8. I don’t know how they can mess it up that much. I spent DAYS trying to call, not one competent person to speak to. I had to go to the store twice, until I found a manager who was able to resolve my issue; remains to be seen because it’s due to arrive tomorrow, I hope.

Battery dies quickly - frequently loses connection having to reconnect by placing it on charger which is inconvenient when I’m not home.

I don’t love it. After all the hype I was hoping to love it. I found it to be somewhat clunky. It was not comfortable for me.

Easy setup. Generates great information. Only wish it was thinner.

Great passive tracker if you can’t or do not want to wear a smart watch

Quite uncomfortable, due to the limited size, the hardware is not that powerful, with little battery it can’t track all datas in real time. Most of features are enabled by their software algorithms but not accurate. I may want to pay the subscription for their sw but definitely not pay $399 for the small sensors. After 1 week trial, I decided to return it and go back with my Apple Watch Ultra which is so far the best smart device for health tracking.

Ring is too chunky. It's uncomfortable. The technology was nice but I returned it because it just hurt to wear due to its chunky size

Not very accurate as far as workouts go. Battery horrible! Have to charge every day. I’ve had it for eight months. Sizing leaves a lot to be desired. Very loose at night. Very tight in the morning.

Good ring happy with features just bulky to wear all the time

After 18 months the ring would no longer take a charge. After fighting my way through a particularly annoying chatbot on their customer service site I got through to a human who actually knew what he was doing. He ran some diagnostics, said it was dead, and sent me a new one for free. Great customer service but for $350 the thing needs to work longer than 18 months.

Ring will connect and sync to new phone when ring is on charger. Ring will not connect or sync to new phone on finger. Oura help is useless. Tried factory reset and all other steps recommended by Oura help to no avail.

The ring got stuck on the charging band and no one in Oura customer service could assist so I took it back. That said, Best Buy was awesome -- the ring came quickly and they also tried to help me but couldn't - they took it back right away. Thank you, Best Buy!
