I Love it ! So happy and satisfied! Totally recommend!

I ended up having to go with silver since they didn’t have in stock the gold one. It’s quite pricey but good to sleep with it on. I didn’t realize the ring had to be worn a specific way, with the “dimple” facing in. Also didn’t realize there’s a membership one has to buy for the ring.

easy app to read, and understand, and better explanation. otherwise, I like ring.

The nine is too big. The eight is too small. The data is interesting. But I don’t know if I feel like it’s worth when I paid. If I could have gotten a better fit, I would’ve been happier.

Just not sure how I feel about it yet I don’t like that i have to worry about water it says something about taking it off for a long period of time also wish it came with the charging case battery life is not great for

The first thing I noticed about the Ōura Ring Gen 5 is that the thing is *tiny* compared to the older models. Just from looking at it, it has like, half the mass. Apparently the actual figure is 40%, but regardless it’s visibly much smaller. Despite the size reduction, they did not cut back on the amount of tech crammed into this thing. The battery life is longer, the sensor arrays feel just as accurate, and it captures just as much data as older models. It’s comfortable to wear - not having sensor bumps and having the smaller footprint is nice, it feels like it’s less in the way for day to day life. It looks nice, too - I got the Deep Rose color, and while it’s not as dark as it looks in the pictures it’s still a really nice color to look at. I’m still not thrilled about the subscription - I really don’t like that if you don’t have it, the ring is basically just a magic 8 ball that doesn’t even pretend to be useful - but I can’t deny that the metrics this thing can gather about health and export into Apple Health or Google Health are pretty good. Especially the level of detail you get with the sleep tracking - that’s been extremely helpful for trying to whip my sleep schedule and quality back into shape after months of disturbed sleep. As I’d expect from any fitness tracker, the activity tracking is pretty on-point. I haven’t noticed any missed activities or obviously bad measurements for things, and when I compare the ring to other fitness trackers I have available the measurements generally seem to be accurate to me. Overall, it’s another solid product from Ōura. If a subscription is a dealbreaker to you, I cannot recommend this ring; but if you don’t mind paying the ~$7/mo or so I’d say it’s an amazing health tracker and would absolutely recommend it. It’s absolutely perfect if you don’t want to wear a watch or don’t trust one in the water.

Tried 9 and then this 10 size. It would be better to have 9.5

The app seems to monitor a lot of things however I question the accuracy. One night it told me I went to sleep three hours after I actually went to sleep. Also does meal tracking, however no way to track the macros which makes it kind of useless.

Idk why everyone online says it’s more comfortable than bands or watches. In my opinion it’s not at all. You always feel it on your hand and you definitely want to take it off when in the gym All in all good product but not for everyone that’s for sure

The sizing is not the same as the previous generations. It appears that I'm in between sizes for the oura 5. It's either too big or too small. I'm not sure if I will keep the ring. Highly recommend the sizing kit for this one.

My ring is not tracking my sleep correctly so all the other numbers are off. It only picks up part of my sleep. I have contacted Oura and they are shipping me a replacement. So, jury is still out on whether I like it or not.

I would rate it a 5 star but sometimes it loses my running distance (miles) and also i do start it but it lost my workout multiple times.

Dislike UI and navigation. Small variations between ios and android. Sharing is extremly limited.

The main reason I bought this was to track my cycles and fertility but it was nothing special. I decided to return. The 500 was not justified

The only thing I like about it is how long it lasts. I got 7,5 days on full charge. I wanted to track my sleep and bbt. It’s still a manual process for me so I didn’t want to pay so much for manually syncing Oura and NC.

Scratches easily and in between sizes. I think overpriced for the quality.

The Oura ring changed the health and fitness device market which center around wrist wearables. It added a swath of metrics that changed the direction of health and wellness monitoring. As great as the previous generations of the Oura Rings were, this release is a huge upgrade in terms of size and feel. Unfortunately, there aren't major updates from a technical hardware or feature standpoint. I assume much of this is "unrealized" in the sense that a lot of back end/firmware related updates are involved that are less tangible. Sizing: The kit is $10 and an absolute requirement. Mostly everyone offers the $10 as a credit towards the final purchase so you hopefully won't lose out on more than the tax. The sizes don't consistently follow normal ring sizing and they state it's not the same sizing as the older models. I had some people just do the sizing to see how it compared to their normal ring sizing and it was typically the same or +/- one size in my small sample. Overall, if you're committed to buying this premium product, doing the right sizing is a no brainer. Look/feel/design: The gold seems more polished and luxurious on this release. It maintains its luster pretty well and cleans off without issue. It feels classic and timeless. The narrower band that is also thinner is a huge upgrade. It feels barely noticeable and blends in some much better. I did feel that the older models were big, bulky, and stood out too much. The sensors can be noticeable at times but overall the feel is quite good. Battery: The battery was still at ~30% after 5 days of consistent use. Seems to live it up to their metric of 6-9 days so far. I am glad they include a nice charger. It must be noted, the charger is sized to the ring which I feel is something that could be changed over time. They have a charging case you can purchase separately. Personally, I think it would make way more sense to combine the regular and case into one product. App: Setup is simple and it's fairly easy to use. I am not a fan of the need to purchase a subscription but fortunately they include a trial and the yearly cost is reasonable. I understand these costs are needed to support the app and research. It's just another part of the changed landscape of owning smart products. However, the ring is severely limited in use without paying for their subscription. They are adding more health integration as well. Metrics: This is something that's very individualized and hard to review subjectively. There are so many metrics that are being monitored and it's quite beneficial. I think for a first time user, you have to give it a few months to learn as well as understand how to apply it to your day to day. Overall, this is a nice update and worth the buy whether a first time user or someone looking to upgrade.
